1 Chapter-001

My name is Liam Sylvesterus Diluc Rothchilde.

I am 19 years old.

I am a descendant of one of the few families that practice magecraft.

I got into Clocktower as soon as I came of age.

My family used to once be the target of awe and envy for other families due to the magecraft we used to practice.

We specialize in order magecraft.

It basically encompassed the magecraft which dealt with order magic, which hails its connection to a source that is theorized to be a TRUE MAGIC, THE SIXTH TRUE MAGIC.

This theory was never confirmed due to the arguments both in favor and against it.

But just the fact we had a magecraft derived from true magic was enough to garner respect.

But the time has passed since then.

The family is currently in decline.

And this is all due to that dastard brother of mine, who became a dead apostle.

Just this fact alone isn't enough to act against us, but the fat fools of Clocktower just need an excuse to bare their fangs at us.

This fact was known throughout the all of Clocktower, but no one made a move because they we waiting for the piece of pie that was our family secret.

My father and mother were executed for their involvement in my brother's supposed escapade.

And I was the only one left other than anyone in my family.

So it was only about time that they would come for me.

And they definitely won't be accommodating nor understanding.

At the very least, I would be stripped of all of my family's magecraft and relegated to be a figure of mockery.

But unlike other magecraft practitioners, I was never very arrogant or prideful.

Sure I wanted the basic respect any human desires, but nothing too extravagant.

But even then I could not just let this blatant thievery of theirs be ignored, and let them act as magnanimous during the act.

So I was planning to go out with an act called as- 'kami kaze'.

I was hiding in one of the family's safehouses, away from the prying eyes of others, with every single document and artifact that belonged to us.

Not even a pen was left for those fogies.

I even bombed every one of our property leaving nothing but barren land.

Right now I was in the basement with all of my possessions housed in the mansion.

In the mansion, I had drawn a magic circle on the ground to perform a ritual.

This ritual was sort of like a voodoo spell using order magic.

Its result was to enforce karmaic damage on the people who have wronged the user, disregarding the user's deeds.

I then finally finished drawing the last bit of the magic circle.

"Okay, the circle is finally completed.

Now the sacrifices and materials for the ritual.

One bundle of Umber Grass.

Dusted Bone of Daedric Beast.

400 pounds of Amber.

Blood of the victim.

Evidence of the action of offense by the culprit."

Then the spell circle started to glow with a radiant golden light which caused me to shield my eye.

After growing in intensity the light vanished and in its place stood a sacrificial altar.

As I said the spell was a form of kamikaze.

This spell's final requirement is the life of the practitioner and after forsaking the life it will carry out the punishment.

"Huh… so I guess this is how it ends."

Thinking that I started the process of detonation of the bombs in this place.

*BOOM*

Sounds of explosions started to be heard.

First from a distance, then getting closer.

I then turned away and after taking a deep breath made my way to the altar, and laid my head on it.

"Goodbye cruel world."

*Slash*

***

"Goodbye cruel world."

As soon as Liam uttered those words, his head got separated on the altar and the magic circle started to glow again, and then Liam's body disappeared in golden lights.

Across the world, a ripple was felt by magecraft practitioners.

As if someone has held their head in an icy grip and then suddenly.

*POP*

Their head popped with a characteristic sound.

This phenomenon happened all around the world.

Numerous magus lost their life this way.

At a later date, an investigation was carried out.

It was recorded that more than 90% died during this incident.

When the cases were compiled, the common thread linking them was found to be their involvement in undermining and ravaging the Rothchilde family.

This day was recorded in the books as the dark day for magus, and the magic world was also reminded of the wrath and full potential of a practitioner of Order Magecraft.

***

(A/N: From now on I will refer to magecraft as magic only.

True magic will be referred to as True magic only.)

A person was floating in a Heavenly looking place with golden radiance.

This body belonged to none other than Liam who had recently gone out with a bang.

As he was floating around, slowly the surroundings around him changed and he was now in a colosseum-type structure, and on the perimeter of that structure were seated people with an ethereal glow.

Each figure looked to be androgynous, with the body highlighted by golden lines.

***

"Wa- up"

"W- p"

"WAKE UP."

"Argh, not now Duke, let me sleep some more."

"SUCH INSOLENCE IN FRONT OF THE LORD OF ORDER!!!"

"*Yawn* If you are Lord of Order then I am Lord of Edge, let me sleep otherwise I will cut your order with my edge."

"YOU DAMNED BRAT!!!!!

HOW DARE YOU BE SO DISRESPECTFUL IN OUR PRESENCE!!!"

"Huh.. WHERE AM I?!?

WHO ARE YOU??"

I said snapping out of my sleep and looking around at what appeared to be shimmering figures.

"WE ARE THE LORDS OF ORDER."

"….

Order of what?

Phoenix?"

"JUST ORDER."

"Lord of Just Order??"

"NO, JUST ORDER."

"That's what I said."

"NO, YOU PUNY MORTAL, WE ARE LORDS OF ORDER."

"Just order??"

"NO, I MEAN YE-,"

"Please be specific."

"BROTHER, LET ME DO THE TALKING."

Said one of the figures with a feminine voice, interrupting the other person.

Then it looked at me and said.

"CHILD WE ARE THE LORDS OF ORDER."

"Of wh-"

"DON'T INTERRUPT.

WE ARE THE LORDS OF ORDER.

WE ARE TASKED WITH UPHOLDING THE ORDER OF THE EXISTENCE."

"Wait, Sixth True Magic?"

"WE ARE KEEPERS WHAT THE MORTAL IN YOUR PLANE OF EXISTENCE REFERRED TO AS THE SIXTH TRUE MAGIC."

Okay, in the beginning, I was just winging it thinking that I was just hallucinating before …death.

"Wait, I died !!"

"YES, WHEN YOU CALLED UPON THE POWER OF ORDER, YOUR SOUL GOT WISKED AWAY FROM YOUR MORTAL FLESH AND PRESENTED ITSELF AT THE DOORS OF ORDER."

"Okay, so what now?"

"WE HAVE AN OFFER FOR YOU MORTAL.

WE, IN OUR IMMENSE KINDNESS, WOULD TEACH YOU THE WAYS OF ORDER."

"Why me of all people?

I am clearly not someone who is the embodiment of the word order."

"YOU WERE CHOSEN BY US, ALL BECAUSE WE SAW POTENTIAL IN YOU.

WE WISH TO TAKE YOU UNDER OUR TUELAGE AND GROOM YOU TO BE HERALD OF ORDER."

"Well, it is all good and all, but what is in it for you?"

The reason I was being so 'disrespectful' is because I am more than 90% sure that they need me to consent to it and form a contract to do anything now.

Because they definitely don't look humble, and they would have killed me long ago when the conversation began.

And all throughout the conversation, they talk to me, with a feeling of superiority and urgency.

They used the sentences that made them appear to be above me and portrayed themselves as if I should be thankful to them.

This smells fishy.

"IN RETURN FOR OUR MAGNANIMOUS ACT OF KINDNESS UPON YOUR PITIFUL SELF, WE WANT YOU ACT AS OUR MOUTH AND EARS UPO-

WAIT, WHAT IS TH-

THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!!!

WE DID EVERYTHING CORRECTLY."

When he was replying, the realm started to shake and tremble.

The light in them started to lose its radiance and the 'Lord of Orders' started to visibly panic, as if in denial of the situation.

"BROTHER, WE NEED TO-

YOU MORTAL TAKE OUR OFFER RIGHT NOW!!!"

"I refuse."

"YOU PUNY MORTAL DARE!!!!!"

"Someone has to."

And as I said that, one of them completely lost its radiance and disappeared in golden particles, up in the air.

"NO BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!

MORTAL WE ORDER YOU TO ACCEP-

WHAT NO, NO I DID EVEYTHING RIGHT.

NO, YOU CAN'T DO THIS.

I WON'T LE-"

And as he was shouting like a lunatic, he disappeared with a burst of light as well.

Then all the others as if they had resigned themselves to their fate, stopped struggling and started to disappear one-by-one until there was nobody left.

Then the realm started to collapse, and the light finally engulfed me.

***

I don't know how much time has passed.

Days, weeks, months, or even years.

I don't know.

All I know is that after my talk with the supposed 'Lords', I was whisked away from their realm.

Then I found myself floating in a place with no beginning and no end.

I could not feel my eyes but could see.

I could not feel my ears but could hear.

I was a feeling like no other.

The curious thing was, little by little, I was learning about this place without even knowing about it.

I mean, it was like the information was directly and delicately being engraved into my soul.

Then after I don't know how much time, I came to realize what this place was.

This place was THE ORIGIN OF ORDER.

It is very complicated if I were to explain, but in accordance with the words of my previous world, I would say that this place was akin to the ROOT but of ORDER.

The goal of my family's magecraft was to go experience this place.

The people who previously introduced themselves were mages who came here before me.

They witnessed the boundaries of order and got enlightenment and ascended to their positions.

They formed a group and among themselves, and started to call themselves the 'LORD OF ORDER', and made it their mission to misdirect people coming after them, acting like a God.

And in turn, preventing anyone else from ascending to a position the same as theirs.

But this time it didn't work that way.

This time, the order itself intervened and erased them.

Maybe because of the nature of the spell that I used before my death, getting empowered in the presence of the source of order itself.

This intervention also caused a hole to be made in the boundary of the order and whisked me away inside of it.

The time here is relative.

No, it is as if there is no time here.

Yes, that is the more appropriate answer.

In this place, there was no day or night, just a feeling of stillness and the only thing which was not still was me.

Here I got a first glance at my magecraft of Order.

But I also got to experience its anti-thesis.

The CHAOS.

At this point, I think it won't be wrong to call them TRUE MAGIC.

And to call me a MAGICIAN.

The balance of Order and Chaos is called the Reality.

While order wants to be predictable, forever still, the chaos wants to be random, always moving.

I got so enraptured by their grandeur that I just kept on learning their characteristic.

Until that one single moment arrived.

The moment when everything clicked.

THE MOMENT I BECAME THE ORDER AND THE CHAOS.

***

"Huff…huff…argh this headache.

What is this place."

I said looking around the place I woke up in.

It looked to be a large room.

Larger than my previous one by a huge margin.

"I remember dying…

…drifting

…moment of epiphany."

I then opened my eyes wide remembering the last bit of information and willed to use the power of order.

And nothing…

Until I was struck by a headache so severe, pain so suffocating.

I begrudgingly opened my eyes and saw…

That the skin of my body was disappearing at a visible rate.

I wanted to scream at the site, only to find that my vocal cords along with my neck had disappeared already.

At that moment, a second felt akin to eternity.

And then the last thing to disappear was my eyes.

But then a feeling of relief washed over me.

I felt a cool feeling down my … body?

As if one gets from drinking a cold beverage in the heat of summer.

Then slowly my eyesight returned.

I then saw that the flesh of my body had begun to reappear.

But this time the blood seemed to be golden in color with a tint of crimson mixed into it, or was it the other way around?

After my body was fully remade, I checked and looked fervently over myself, and saw that I was…

Naked.

But another thing was that I was completely fine.

I then tried to use magic again, but this time with less enthusiasm.

And immediately a shield of gold color formed around me.

Seeing the favorable result, I got more confident and tried to use it again, yielding the desired result.

"*Sigh* Thank God.

I can use magic.

The True Magic."

Well, let's conjure some clothes first.

And then I used the Chaos Magic to form some clothes.

The same as the one I previously used to wear.

A white shirt, followed by a black vest and a black jacket.

For the bottom, I wore black pants and boots.

I tied my hair with a piece of cloth and wore some belts 'made' of leather.

Then I used magic to conjure a mirror and admired myself in it.

"No change in appearance.

Well, you can't improve what is already perfected."

I said in a matter-of-fact voice.

Because it is true.

***

After a while of admiring myself, I left the room, keeping my magic active to attack at the first sign of trouble.

After exiting the room, I found myself in a large corridor, made of marble glittering as gold, with carpets red in color.

Its wall was adorned with curtains with crimson hue.

Paintings and murals were on the walls, perfectly spaced.

I then followed around the walls and came to a large room, with its ceiling reaching sky-high.

THE LIBRARY.

But I was THE MOST LARGEST LIBRARY IN THE WORLD.

Near the entrance, I had a reception-like counter that housed the names of sections of the library.

I then carefully read it over.

The one peculiar thing was that although it had a magic section, the number of books it had could be counted on one hand.

And none of them was groundbreaking, just about basics.

Still, I will read it since this is a different world.

Yes, when I spread my senses I could feel through the air that I am in a castle in Romania.

And the world still housed MYSTERIES.

The phantasmal species, although in hiding still exist.

Completely opened my eyes.

Anyway, I strolled away from the library and started to check my castle.

The dining room which looked to be too huge to be used.

The ballroom.

The training room, which had dummies for practice which regenerated by Chaos and maintained by Order.

I then took a peek into the kitchen which had every cooking utensil one could dream of along with a fresh store of items.

After checking every room except for the armory, I came in front of the room which was probably the most important for a magu-, no.

A magician.

I looked at the door, which was inlaid with gems and diamonds.

After opening the door, I was introduced to a tower-like structure.

Yes, behind the door was a whole magic tower whose size would put Clocktower to shame.

This castle covered an area of more than 100 acres, which was more than the area covered by the largest castle on my earth.

The castle on its outside, was made of pure crystal, which prevented anything from outside from peeking inside.

The crystal was magical.

Also, the boundary of the castle had a plethora of barriers, which worked like a notice-me-not charm powered by Order and Chaos.

***

I then pushed the door to enter the tower.

The tower had a huge spiral series of stairs.

After walking over them I came to the bottom of the tower because we all know that the shadiest things are in the basement of magic towers.

It is a law.

When I reached the basement, I was prepared to fight against any creature of East origin but upon opening the door I was greeted with a wide empty room instead.

It was illuminated in a bluish hue with the mana stones.

The only thing that struck me as strange was the sole chest which was golden in color, with engravings written in a language that I could not recognize.

At the center of the chest was a gem that shone in a dazzling green light.

I carefully approached the chest, and as if with practiced movement, rolled away upon just opening the chest.

And then the room was drowned in a golden light.

Then the light died down and everything remained as it was.

Only that in front of my eyes several spears were floating.

And as if by instinct I knew their name.

"Spirit Spear Chastiefol

Spear of Longinus

Gungnir

Astarpe

Trident of Posideon

Rhongomynaid

Vaisavi Shakti

Gae Bolg

And Fou?"

And as I recounted their name and was in a state of denial a circle was formed in front of me.

A circle I was painfully familiar with.

A Servant Summoning Circle.

Then the circle burst in a flash and then it subsided.

In its place appeared a woman wearing a veil on the lower half of her face.

She has purplish hair.

Red eyes.

And she was adorned in skin-tight clothing.

After being summoned she looked at me and said,

"I come from the Land of Shadows.

My name is Scathach.

I guess I should call you master?"

"Pika Pi?"

***

"So what you mean to tell me that we are in a different world.

A world that is outside the influence of Gaia and Alaya.

And you are the possessor of Sixth true Magic."

Scathach said with a tired expression.

"Pretty much."

"Huh,… I am too old for this."

"Well, age is just a number."

I replied taking a glance at her, and those words came out by themselves.

"Fou??"

Said a white murderer sitting on my lap, looking at me with a tilted head.

Cute, have a treat.

"So there is no grail war, no world-ending events or anything?"

She asked with an exparted expression.

"As for grail war, the answer is no.

And about the latter, I am not sure about the future, but at present answer is no."

"Then why did you summon me?"

She threw a questioning glance at me.

"I didn't summon you, per say.

I was just exploring this castle, and decided to check the basement of the tower, upon reaching there I found a chest, and since I have played several games, I decided to open it.

With caution of course."

"And you opened it and I was summoned?"

She said interrupting me in-between.

"Yes, I didn't intend to summon you, or anyone for that matter.

And you were not the only thing that was summoned evidently."

I said leaving it on an ambiguous note.

"You mean something or someone else was summoned beside me?"

She asked with raised eyebrows, her words carrying her curiosity.

"Upon opening it, the first thing that was summoned was several divine constructs.

Among one of which I am pretty sure you must be familiar with."

She eyed me curiously, and in response to that, I called forth GAE BOLG, which soon materialized in front of her.

She was stunned for the second time today.

"Feels familiar."

I asked as half a question, with a bit of uncertainty.

"This… is my…spear?"

She also said half unsure and materialized her own spear.

I inspected them from a distance and found no difference between them.

But even then I decided to ask her.

"Is it truly the same spear as you wield, or are you able to perceive some difference between them."

"They are the same, I know the spear I have crafted by my own hands."

She said with a resolute expression, looking into my eyes.

"And you said you summoned several more divine constructs as well?"

She asked me, changing the awkward atmosphere that had developed for a moment.

In response to the question, I simply summoned the rest of them.

"Starting from left we have,

Spirit Spear Chastiefol

Spear of Longinus

Gungnir

Astarpe

Trident of Posideon

Rhongomynaid

And lastly Vaisave Shakti."

"Fou fou fouuuu."

"And yes Fou was summoned too."

She eyed them carefully and said,

"Isn't it surprising that-"

"They all are spears, and you were also summoned along with them, a divine spirit who wields spear to a grandmaster degree?"

I finished her sentence for her.

"Yes, that is also what makes me curious."

Then again we sat in silence with nothing special to talk about.

I then asked her, massaging the bridge between my eyes.

"Huh… so what now?"

"What do you mean?"

She replied with equal parts of exhausted expression.

"I mean, under normal circumstances, the spirits are summoned, they usually fight in the holy grail war for their wish, but now there is no grail war.

So what do you wish to do?"

I then clarified upon my question.

"I was thinking the same thing myself, but since you have asked the question you must have some solution in your head."

"Well, I just have some suggestions.

You can also do something else if you wish.

First, either you can go from here, and start your life as you wish to.

After your confinement in the Land of Shadows, I think you would prefer that."

"And other option?"

"Since this era is different from what you are used to, and you are not provided any information, I suggest you live in this castle and learn about this era, and when you feel confident enough, you can venture on your own."

"While I appreciate your generosity, this Scathach does not owe a favor."

She said with a matter-of-fact look.

"Well… then why don't I employ you?"

"For what?"

"Pardon if I say something that will offend you, but if you would accept or like to, I would like you to train me?"

And the look in her eyes changed from a formal tone to a stricter tone.

"Are you sure, you are not saying it impulsively?

This Scathach would not coddle you, whether you are a common peasant or the Lord of the Order and Chaos itself."

"I am positive about this decision.

Right now I am in an unknown world.

While I am powerful, I am not omniscient.

Also, if there is a chance that this power can be taken from me, I want something to lean back on, even if it would be useless.

Besides, seeing the number of divine constructs I have, it goes without saying that it would be stupid if I would learn to use them properly, despite having such a teacher within my contact."

She looked me in the eyes as I said that, and after a while of staring, as if satisfied, nodded.

Then I said again,

"Also, I think we both should right now, take it easy.

Rest for a week or so, and try to adjust ourselves.

Need to understand the current affairs, because I don't think you and I for that matter would like to live in seclusion."

She looked and me and then nodded.

"Very well then, we will do as you say.

Now let us formally introduce ourselves.

I am Sacthach, Queen of Land of Shadows."

"I am Liam Sylvesterus Diluc Rothchilde, the Lord of Chaos and Order.

You can call me Liam or Diluc."

Her expression softened to the previous one.

"Very well then Diluc, I will be in your care."

***

After that, both of us decided to test the chest.

"So this is the chest which summoned me."

"Yes."

I replied quickly.

"Did you have to do any specific ritual or something?"

"No, I just carefully opened from a distance, and then it happened."

Both of us then looked at the chest, then at each other, and nodded.

I approached the chest, I flipped it open, and suddenly…

I moved back with a roll.

She instead of looking at the chest, looked at me weirdly.

"Don't judge, chest's can be mean.

Be happy you haven't encountered a mimic."

She then looked away with a defeated expression.

Women.

"There is not any dazzling light."

She said looking back at me.

"Wait let me check."

"Umm... there is a stone, a mana stone."

"Well, while crystallized mana is important, it doesn't hold a candle to divine construct, or me.

Maybe to that squirrel."

"Hey, don't look down on Fou."

"Fou fo fou fouuuuu!!!"

Said Fou getting on his hind legs trying to look threatening but ending up looking totally adorable.

"Huh…please be serious."

Seeing her expression I decided to stop joking and placed Fou on my shoulder, and tried to think of the reason.

"I might have an idea."

"Do tell."

"Well, when I did the summoning the gem on the chest was glowing bright green which now is barely glowing."

"So, maybe it will be ready for the summoning of its previous capacity if this gem is shimmering."

"Yes, my theory is that it will collect mana from the atmosphere, the reason for it to be perfectly placed on a ley line.

Or it depends upon the time of the previous summon.

Time may range in days, weeks, months, or years maybe.

Seeing the quality of the summon, my guess is 4 years, give or take."

"Hmm…sounds plausible."

"Take it with a grain of salt.

It was my first time summoning so I might be wrong."

"Very well."

Then again that awkward atmosphere has begun to take shape.

"Fouuuuu!!!!"

Said the cute furball sitting on my shoulder.

"You are right.

Let me show you your new home."

"You can understand him?"

Asked Scathach, with raised eyes and an amused smile which I think was behind her veil.

Listening to her words I pondered carefully and replied.

"Not… understand…

I would say it is along the lines of understanding the intent behind action rather than understanding the words itself."

"Fou!!"

Said the Fou while playfully tapping my cheek with his small paws.

"Yeah yeah, let's go.

Shall we?"

I asked looking at Scathach beside me.

"Lead the way."

To which she replied curtly.

***

"This is the armory."

I said gesturing at the long huge hall present.

All of this place is an example of architecture based solely using order magic, to keep the conditions in their peak conditions.

"Well for an armory of Lord Of Order and Chaos, it is quite… bland."

"Fou!!"

Said Scathach who was supported by Fou sitting on her shoulder.

Traitor.

"Well, today is my first day, and also…"

I willed the weapons to materialize and then sent them to a separate cabinet each.

Each of these cabinets was made from the Order, while outside it was surrounded by raw chaos, willing to rip whosoever touch them other than me to shred.

Below them, I placed a golden plaque housing their name.

Then I looked at the room, and unlike the other rooms, I found it archaic for my taste, so I used Chaos magic in tandem with Order, to manipulate reality to fit it to my taste.

"Well, how about now?"

I asked her, trying hard not to look smug.

"I will admit, the power to rewrite reality to your accordance is quite fearsome."

She replied looking at the room and then shifting her focus, and looked at me and said,

"Even without my teachings, just based on your magic craft you are one of the most formidable opponents one can face."

"Well, I won't deny it.

Now why don't we visit the rest of your castle?

Fou seems restless and bored."

***

"So that's everything."

I said to her, recounting everything in my castle with a giddy feeling.

"Well, I have to say, that as far as castle goes, I have never seen anything quite like it."

"Hmm…that's to be expected, I guess.

So that's all for today.

So much time has passed, I suggest we take it to the night."

"Yes, it took quite a while to see everything."

Umm…how do I say this?

"Anything bothering you?"

She asked seeing me with a pensive look.

"I just wanted to ask … you know..abt chts."

"What, I didn't quite hear."

"Huff, what about your clothes."

"Pardon?"

She said looking at me with a questioning gaze.

"Please don't take this the wrong way.

You are new in this world, and as far as I know, I don't think heroic spirits are summoned with extra sets of clothes.

So I didn't want you to face any problem whatsoever when waking up."

Seeing me explain seriously she laughed.

"Huh, of all things I didn't expect a Lord Of Order and Chaos to fumble over a girl's clothing."

"Well ?"

"No, I don't have spare clothes."

"Do I…you know…make them or something?"

"It will be helpful."

Hearing that was quite liberating.

I was half of my mind thinking that I would be labeled as a pervert.

"Anyway, let me escort you to your sleeping quarters."

***

"So where is my room?"

She asked looking at the wall.

"In front of you."

"don't joke there is not-

Ahh.. your reality manipulation.

Do you intend to use your powers for such mundane purposes?"

She asked me with a defeated look.

"I mean, I have power so why not?"

"Huh… I can already see that the upcoming days will be tiring."

"But not boring." I pointed out.

"Well you are right about that.

And I presume the one beside mine is yours." She asked with raised eyes.

"Yes, it is.

And if you need anything at night, please do tell me without hesitation.

And let me take this furball off of you."

"Fouuu!!!!!"

And Fou started to punch me with its paws.

"Don't resist.

We can do this the easy way or hard way."

Seeing this Scathach simply giggled.

"Have a good sleep Diluc, and Fou."

"Fou!!"
