1 A small beginning to a bigger ending (chapter 1)

A/N This is the first chapter, dont expect him to create a fireball right at the get-go, and please do keep in mind that he is a pathfinder, meaning he can't ask others for help as he is the very first founder of this path of magic in the Marvel universe.

PS: don't expect him to be crazy stronger right at the get-go, he is a human, who just started to create his own spell.

New York City sprawled beneath a heavy downpour, the dark clouds casting a somber veil over the bustling metropolis. Lying in a pool of rainwater mixed with a haunting shade of crimson was a young teenager. He appeared frail, with unkempt, lengthy black hair hanging over his face. His stature was stunted at a mere 5 feet 4 inches, a stark contrast to other kids his age of 15, as ragged clothes clung to his form.

Bullet holes pocked the walls surrounding him, silent witnesses to the tragic end of the orphan named Adam. In a world teeming with heroes, villains, aliens, and supernatural beings, survival was a precarious dance for those lacking superpowers, exceptional intelligence, or immense wealth. Unfortunately, Adam fell into none of these categories, sealing his fate. Yet, in an unexpected twist, another soul stepped in to fill the void left by his departure.

This new soul hailed from a different reality all together, carrying with it an unusual gift known as the Spell Maker System, his golden finger, unlike many other golden fingers, this system granted him the ability to mold spells through the construction of intricate spell models within his own Sea of Consciousness—a realm that served as his soul's dwelling. The Sea of Consciousness was delicate; any harm to it would unleash catastrophic consequences upon the soul if they could reach it.

the new soul or Adam's newfound capabilities extended beyond mana manipulation. He had access to Spiritual Force, a force that allowed him to sculpt and manipulate mana into diverse forms within his mind, the fuel if he wanted to cast any spell or make any spell models for that matter.

Spell models are blueprints for spells. Adam could craft them in various shapes and sizes using mana, and these models would then materialize as spells. The combination of model shape, size, and mana type determined the nature and effects of the spells for now. However, the process wasn't a mere exercise in creativity; the spell models needed structural integrity to function correctly. A flawed model meant spell failure. Spells are also divided into tiers, tiers are what are used to separate different spells, the higher the tier of a spell, the stronger the spell would be, and the higher its level growth limit, the tier of a spell is determined by many factors, mainly the spell complexity and integrity, its uses, the type of mana used and how many different types of mana being used.

And this, fortuitously, marked the moment when Adam concluded his conversation with Goldie, the entity responsible for his reincarnation or so he believed. Goldie had revealed the peculiar gift bestowed upon Adam, explained its functions.

which is why Adam now found himself in the midst of the void—a bubble that was ten-meter radius, determined by his spiritual force. This ethereal bubble not only served as his sanctuary but also as a reservoir for storing mana, dictating the frequency with which he could cast spells.

"So this is my Sea of Consciousness?" Adam, in his soul form, marveled aloud as he looked around, his astral form mirroring his physical self. The ethereal void before him held a mesmerizing quality, and he couldn't help but be fascinated and excited to explore the gift Goldie had hyped so much. His eyes fixated on the myriad multicolored particles outside the protective bubble, mostly consisting of white particles. "And those must be the raw mana in the world," he mused, his excitement building as he reached the edge of his Sea of Consciousness.

Drawing closer to the mana particles while still staying inside the bubble, he observed their delicate dance. They resembled tiny bubbles, not bigger than a 1/3 cm, floating gracefully as if caught in a celestial ballet. Adam watched in awe as blue and orange bubbles collided, their ephemeral existence ending in a burst, while two white bubbles briefly fused before parting ways. "Well, let's get started. Given what Goldie said about this world, I ain't wasting no time," he sighed, acknowledging the inherent dangers. A floating screen materialized in front of him.

[ Name: Adam ]

[ Mana (plain): 0 (particles) ]

[ Spiritual-Force: 1.0/1.0 (1 spiritual force lasts for 1 minute; 1 spiritual force can be recovered in 1 minute) ]

[ Created spells: None ]

Examining the screen, Adam noted, "Hmm, so I only have 1 minute to create my own spell, and I can only use plain mana." Urgency gripped him as he pondered the kind of spell he could craft. He gazed at the swirling mass of mana, contemplating the possibilities. "What type of spell do I want?" he asked himself, his eyes fixed on the mesmerizing dance of the mana bubbles. Suddenly, an idea sparked in his mind. "Well, I wanted to create a classic fireball spell, but I can only use plain," he lamented.

Realizing a creative alternative, he mused, "Well, I can still make the spell, just not a fireball—maybe a mana ball." Activating his spiritual force, the borders of his Sea of Consciousness illuminated, and a single tentacle extended, representing his single spiritual force, as it reached out to nearby white mana particles. The tentacles gently coiled around the particles, drawing them into the sea.

"Huh, I thought I would have to manually gather mana," Adam remarked with satisfaction as the first plain mana was pulled in. Activating his spiritual force, he felt an instinctive connection to the single mana particle that had entered his sea of consciousness as he began drawing it toward his astral form. Two more mana particles followed suit just outside the bubble.

[ Name: Adam ]

[ Mana (plain): 1 (particle) ]

[ Spiritual-Force: 0.0/1.0 (1 spiritual force lasts for 1 minute; 1 spiritual force can be recovered in 1 minute) ]

[ Created spells: None ]

Adam watched as the single tentacle gathered the additional mana bulbs, which entered his sea of consciousness, as they started to float towards one another before sticking together. Initially, they clung together briefly before repelling like opposing magnetic forces. seeing this, Adam pondered as his spiritual force ran out, "huh, that was one minute?" he said as he watched the three mana particles just floating together, he then waited for another minute to recover his spiritual force and when he did, he focuses on the mana particles inside, which meant that the tentacles that gather mana didn't manifest.

"huh, so I can only focus on one, got it" he wasn't disappointed by the fact as he started to gather two of the mana together, which initially lunk together before repelling like opposing magnetic forces appeared, he focused as he Added another mana particle, causing the repulsion to intensify, straining Adam's ability to hold them together. With only three mana particles, they fused to create a bulb three times the size of a regular mana particle or one 1 cm mana bulb, which was tiny. Despite its instability, resembling the tip of his small pinky, it appeared ready to burst at any moment. Adam wanted to add more mana, but as a minute elapsed, his spiritual force deactivated. The quivering mana bulb solidified, becoming as firm as a captured moment in a picture, as it got incased in a white 2d box.
