18 Time-Skip(chapter 18)

He nearly fell off the ledge, startled by the sight of a literal living and breathing dinosaur. His sudden appearance also scared away a group of little compsognathus that swiftly scattered. "Don't tell me I got sent to the prehistoric era?" The mere thought sent chills down his spine. A surge of anxiety gripped him as he considered the challenges of facing prehistoric creatures. Recollecting himself, he mused, "Right, the symbiote suit. But would it hold up against a large prehistoric dinosaur?"

Allowing his imagination to run wild, he cautiously surveyed his surroundings. The lush prehistoric forest surrounded him, an opportunity and potential danger interwoven. "Well, as long as I don't die," he chuckled nervously, realizing the inherent dangers of the ancient flora and fauna. Proceeding with caution, he couldn't help but marvel at the prehistoric beauty around him. The flora, long extinct on Earth, presented itself as a potential resource for his future potions—especially considering his newfound interest in potion-making after successfully sprouting his first magical seed.

His plan to become a potioner was gradually taking shape. Collecting various herbs and plants, coupled with gaining knowledge about them, was a crucial step toward his goal. However, this ambitious endeavor lay in the future. "As long as I don't feed that stupid watch any mana, I won't be teleported elsewhere. Plus, I'm safe and sound in my shell home. No need to look for shelter. The only thing I want to do now is find stuff I can give options to," he reasoned, formulating a solid plan.

With determination, he took a step into the forest. Almost instantly, something within the trees stirred—a large carnivorous plant unfolding itself and swooping down. Reacting swiftly, he activated the symbiote suit, covering his entire body. Gripping the lower and upper jaws of the carnivorous plant, he tore its head off. "Hasn't even been a minute," he remarked, surprised by his enhanced strength. A grin crossed his face as he carried the plant's head into the safety of his shell.

Placing the head down, he pondered, "Yeah, I'm going to collect a lot of stuff while I'm here." Exiting the shell, he found himself back in the dinosaur-laden landscape. "Alright, let's do this," he declared, choosing not to deactivate the suit, mindful of potential threats. As he continued his journey through the dense and ancient forest, it didn't take long for him to encounter something intriguing—a giant red fruit. Despite its tempting appearance, he refrained from touching it. "Not touching anything that looks appetizing," he muttered, maintaining caution. Nonetheless, curiosity got the better of him, prompting him to examine the fruit closely.

*THUMP* Suddenly, a heavy footstep echoed behind him. Oliver turned around, startled. Emerging from between the trees was a massive creature, standing at 20 feet tall. With green scaly skin, a long and pointy head adorned with large sets of teeth, and two big hind legs paired with slightly smaller front legs, the dinosaur exuded an ominous presence. Its small black beady eyes conveyed a chilling killing intent. "Oh, shit," Oliver exclaimed, his breath catching in his throat, as the dinosaur launched itself toward him. Despite the surprise, Oliver braced himself for the impending danger.

He didn't stay rooted to the ground but instead unleashed a powerful punch toward the oncoming creature's face. The impact caused the creature's head and entire body to sway to the side, as if on the brink of falling over. However, the creature, far from succumbing, utilized the momentum to swing its tail at Oliver. He used his forearm to parry the attack, gritting his teeth at the searing pain. "Damn, that hurts," he muttered, but the pain didn't deter him. With determination, he countered by delivering a forceful punch to the dinosaur's side, sending it tumbling toward a nearby tree, the impact creating a resounding crash. Examining his hand, he swore he heard it creak. "It's fine," he reassured himself, turning his attention to the dinosaur, which was beginning to rise.

Seizing the opportunity, Oliver moved to strike the creature while it was down. However, a surprise attack came from another direction, as another one of the creatures leaped up from behind him. Reacting swiftly, Oliver evaded the creature's assault, simultaneously grabbing its tail and hurling it toward the recovering dinosaur. The result was a chaotic collision of bodies against trees. "Of course, they're ambush predators, pack hunters," he groaned. Despite the ambush, he pressed on without hesitation, a habit ingrained by Instructor Mordor.

Just as he was on the brink of finishing the two dinosaurs, three more of the formidable creatures appeared, along with the two that were supposed to be down. They surrounded him in a menacing circle. "They're not just ordinary dinosaurs, are they?" Oliver rhetorically questioned, a realization that had dawned on him since his arrival in this unfamiliar and perilous world. "This messed-up world," he added, frustration coloring his tone. The dinosaurs wasted no time, sprinting towards him in unison.

Unbeknownst to them, dark purple lines coursed through Oliver's body, creating cracks on the symbiote suit. These lines spread rapidly in mere seconds before a pulsating wave of dark purple energy emanated from him. The pulse was swift, washing over the dinosaurs before they could react. It pushed them back, and although they quickly stabilized themselves, they failed to notice similar black-purple lines forming cracks all over their bodies.

Within seconds, the first and second dinosaurs fell to their legs, foaming at the mouth. Despite their bodies giving in, primal instincts and hunger drove them to continue charging at Oliver. Displaying incredible speed, he skillfully dispatched each dinosaur with precise punches, cracking their necks as they fell one after another. "Whoa, this feels addicting," Oliver remarked, reveling in the newfound surge of power. Euphoria filled him as he clenched his fist, relishing the potent strength at his disposal. "God, I feel like I could break mountains."

However, the battle was far from over. Lost in the sensation of his enhanced power, Oliver failed to notice a pair of colossal dinosaurs, armored with large clubbed tails. One swung its tail, hitting Oliver in the back. Unfazed by the attack, Oliver turned around to face the creature, catching its tail with his hand. "That's a nice tail you've got. I'm sure it would make a great hammer with the right options," he remarked, promptly severing the dinosaur's tail.

As the tail flailed around and the wounded dinosaur attempted to flee, a sinister grin spread across Oliver's face. "Oh yeah, I'm going to enjoy this place," he declared. However, this proclamation would soon prove to be a misguided sentiment.

[Time Skip]

The Savage Land lived up to its name, embodying savagery in both weather and inhabitants. Deep within the forest, two creatures faced off—a fearsome T-rex and a triceratops engaged in battle. This was a common occurrence, typically resulting in the T-rex's victory. The present clash was no different. The T-rex emerged triumphant, sustaining only a light scratch on its hind leg. It lay down, allowing the natural healing process to begin. Yet, this wasn't an ordinary battle.

From the dense woods, a wooden arrow, its tip radiating a cyan-colored hue, shot through the air. The arrow struck the T-rex with such speed and precision that it penetrated the dinosaur's skin, lodging itself into its spine. Agonizing pain gripped the T-rex as it collapsed, paralyzed and foaming at the mouth. Unseen from a distance, a figure emerged, wielding a bow crafted from the spine of a large creature. Standing at six feet tall and clad in a massive fur coat, the figure removed the hood to reveal long red hair and a rugged face with dulled honey-colored eyes.

"That's the last hunt of the day," the figure mused he as he walked towards the dead t rex while thinking, "lets go and finally level up this damn skill".
