46 Mysterium and seduction!!!!!!!!????(chapter 46)

[ Name: Adamantium Arm Shield ]

[ Grade: Purple (Peak) ]

[ Description: Crafted from the virtually indestructible man-made steel alloy known as Adamantium, this one-arm shield is a testament to human engineering prowess. Its molecular integrity surpasses even Vibranium, allowing it to withstand multiple nuclear explosions or a blow from the most powerful superhuman without a scratch. ]

[ Option 1: Adamantium Aegis (Rank: E) (Passive) - Upon equipping the shield, a thin semi-transparent membrane surrounds the user's body, absorbing 50% of incoming damage. ]

[ Option 2: Energy Reservoir (Rank: E) (Active) - The shield can absorb incoming damage for the next 10 minutes. Afterward, it releases all absorbed attacks in a pulse of destructive energy. ]

[ Durability: 100% ]

As Oliver inspected the Adamantium Arm Shield, he couldn't help but marvel at its design and capabilities. "A thin membrane that absorbs half of incoming damage, as well as an option that can absorb incoming damages before dishing them back out, along with the shield itself," he murmured to himself. This shield was undoubtedly the most potent defensive tool in his arsenal, and he intended to make full use of its capabilities. "Well, now that this shield is done, it's time I get my hands on the next material."

Setting the shield down gently, he reached for an advanced phone with a picture of a black coin on its screen. The coin depicted was completely dark, made from a special material known as mysterium. This metal had the unique property of negating magic and rivaling the durability of adamantium, currently the strongest metal he possessed. "Unless that new alloy I have in mind turns out as good as I hope it to be," he muttered, glancing at the 1-cubic meter crucible awaiting its magical flame. He hoped this new material would surpass adamantium in strength.

"Well, it's waiting for a special type of flame anyway," he sighed, contemplating the journey ahead to obtain mysterium. This metal was a product of mutants at Krakoa, a nation of superpowered individuals with some of the strongest beings on the planet. "Looks like I'm going to visit Krakoa or set up a deal elsewhere," he concluded, knowing this task would not be easy, considering the mutants' highly guarded and exclusive paradise.

[4 days later]

In the heart of a dense forest, Oliver's frustrated voice echoed through the trees. "This is harder than I thought," he grumbled, dressed casually atop his sentient coat. He examined a branch of a peculiar plant, trying to make sense of the information he had gathered. "But it makes sense since the mutants use a gate into their paradise sentient island that only mutants can enter."

For the past four days, Oliver had been tirelessly searching for a way to contact the mutants without drawing attention to himself. He had avoided the conventional methods, opting instead for a more discreet approach, which led him to track them manually. His drone, MK1, returned to him after scouring the forest, its size considerably larger due to its adaptive learning module. Oliver had allowed it to accompany him on various expeditions, a decision that had honed its abilities in navigating terrains and evading potential threats, though it remained unarmed for now.

"Well, this was fruitless," Oliver muttered, the frustration evident in his voice. The reason he was even able to track the gateway was due to a particular item he rarely used, a device that could detect the subtle energy signatures left by the mutants' teleportation gate.

[ Name: Starling Compass Ring ]

[ Grade: White ]

[ Description: This meticulously crafted silver ring, shaped like a compass and adorned with delicate starling motifs, radiates a simple yet enchanting aura. ]

[ Option 1: Guiding Aura (Rank: E) (Passive) - Enhances the magical presence, providing a stronger guidance for the wearer to find their path. (Effectiveness: 15%) ]

[ Option 2: Celestial Alignment (Rank: E) (Active) - Temporarily aligns the wearer with celestial energies, boosting their intuition and navigation skills for 35 minutes ]

[ Durability: 72% (unstable, higher ranking options won't be accommodated) ]

With the aid of the Starling Compass Ring's passive skill, Oliver managed to stay on the tail of the teleporting mutants, though he always seemed to be a step behind. After sighting them, he retreated to his shell home along with MK1. There, he picked up his phone displaying a picture of a woman. Katherine Anne Pryde, also known as Shadowkat, leader of the Marauders, was depicted with her hazel eyes, brown hair, and pale skin complexion. A bandage on her nose hinted at a recent injury. Standing at 5 feet 7 inches, she seemed formidable.

"Hmm, Katherine Anne Pryde, leader of the Marauders, responsible for mutant transport," Oliver mused, absorbing the limited information he had on her. Katherine's mutant ability was well-known; she could phase through objects and people, a power that presented a significant challenge. However, Oliver had a countermeasure for her abilities. Instead of a direct confrontation, he decided on a different approach: seduction.

Stripping down, Oliver examined his scar-covered body. "I don't think she'll mind a body full of scars, and don't women like a body like this?" he thought to himself. He had the physique, the looks, and the attitude. If he could kick ass as well, why not use his charms? While he wasn't confident in his seduction skills, he believed that someone like him shouldn't need to worry. Many women had thrown themselves at him before. "Well, let's see how this goes," he muttered, slipping into a mindset that was a mix of confidence and uncertainty.

To Oliver, a hack-and-slash mission was straightforward. Show up, observe, kick some ass, and be done with it. But this situation demanded a different approach, one that Oliver wasn't entirely comfortable with: seduction.

[Scene Change]

On the expansive deck of a large ship in the midst of the ocean, Katherine Pryde stood, the rag around her left shoulder a reminder of a recent battle during a rescue mission. She had managed to save mutant children from an anti-mutant group, despite their power-dampening tech. A small purple dragon perched around her neck, a companion in her missions.

Suddenly, a net shot from a gun was aimed at the dragon, incapacitating it. Kate whirled around to face a man in a sleek black suit, with dark, unruly hair, holding the gun. "Hello, kitty. I've brought you some Kroakne seed you might find interesting," he taunted, tossing a seed at her before she could react. She didn't flinch at the seed but drew her saber swiftly.

"Sebastian Shaw, of course, you're caught up in this. You're going to end up sleeping next to Sebastian," she growled, a reference to the rescue mission gone awry. Shaw smirked, the smugness evident in his expression. "I doubt that," he retorted as the seed he had thrown earlier began to grow, wrapping around Kate in a tight, vine-like grip.

Author's Note: Well, maybe it's time we put Oliver to the test, see if he can bag a baddie. After all, he needs to bag some (but that guy doesn't even need to try). Anyways, hopefully, you guys are prepared for the upcoming mission and ready to gringe a lot, because your guy over here (me) has no experience in these fields (guess most of you can relate, am I right?).

P.S.: Also, what do you guys think of Amaya, aka Vixen, from the Arrowverse?
