29 Meeting shanna again and leaving the savage land (chapter 29)

Chapter 29

Skaar, Shanna, and her son observed as what seemed to be a bird plummeted from the sky, tearing through several trees on its descent. Skaar, grunting in acknowledgment, approached the crash site. There lay a figure—a large man with lush red hair, his physique both toned and scarred, clad only in fur pants. Numerous wounds adorned his body, mostly claw marks. Sprawled beneath him was a monstrous bird, twice his size, with formidable talons. This battered figure was none other than Oliver, panting heavily.

"YOU!" Shanna exclaimed suddenly, causing Skaar to relax slightly. Oliver turned toward her, a hint of recognition crossing his face. He rolled his eyes at Shanna's accusatory tone. "What are you doing? Let me answer that—murdering innocent animals. And don't roll your eyes at me," Shanna berated Oliver. As an animal lover and activist, Oliver was the embodiment of everything she despised. He not only hunted and disassembled animals but also targeted rare plants. Shanna harbored a strong disdain for him.

To Oliver, Shanna was nothing more than a nuisance. The more she spoke, the more her voice faded into the background for him. Unperturbed, he turned around, removing the talons from the fallen bird. "There you go again, butchering innocent animals," Shanna continued her tirade. Her words, however, fell on deaf ears as Oliver, indifferent to her anger, completed his task and left.

- Scene Change -

In his shell home, Oliver stood adorned in well-crafted leather pants with a distinct blue hue, offering protection against both heat and cold. His leather shoes, also of his own making, featured a green hue, providing a 50% increase in speed when running, alongside added comfort. The shirt, crafted from refined leather, surpassed even the quality of his pants and shoes. Though it offered two options—one for comfort and the other for increased durability—the fur coat he wore sported a regal purple hue.

[ Name: Frostbinder Fur Coat ]

[ Grade: Purple ]

[ Description: Crafted from the fur of the alpha of a giant Arctic wolf pack, this coat emanates an icy aura. The creature's essence is said to linger within, giving the garment a touch of otherworldly power. ]

[ Option 1: Frostweave Enchantment (Rank: E) (Active) - Allows the wearer to conjure a chilling breeze, creating an area of effect freeze in the immediate vicinity, temporarily slowing down opponents for the next 20 minutes, 0/2 ]

[ Option 2: Sentient Guardian (Rank: E) (Passive) - Bestows a semi-sentient awareness upon the coat. In moments of danger, the fur coat reacts instinctively, lashing out at those who threaten its wearer. ]

[ Durability: 100% ]

"I still can't believe I got a semi-sentient coat." Oliver couldn't hide his satisfaction with the unique fur coat. Dressed in well-made leather pants with a distinct blue hue, a pair of leather shoes emitting a green glow, and a shirt crafted from refined leather, he prepared to leave the savage land. The regal purple Frostbinder Fur Coat adorned him, emanating an icy aura.

His decision to depart from the savage land was fueled by weariness. He had acquired numerous exotic materials, ores, and even alien substances. A meteorite, initially thought to be a rare find, turned out to be iron. Anti-metal, collected from formidable creatures, awaited transformation into armor. The multicolored chameleon's skin and diverse monster parts added to his collection.

"I am sick and tired of these dinosaurs," Oliver groaned, expressing his exhaustion with the creatures. "Plus, according to Elektra, the Savage Land is in Antarctica, so it's not a secret realm." With determined resolve, he exited his shell home, activating a new option that enveloped him in a shimmering purple hue. "Hopefully, this will stop the damages caused when I cross different points in time and space."

Once outside, Oliver retrieved the Chrono Nexus Relic, expecting its immediate drain on his mana. Despite the familiar sensation, he remained composed. Reality cracked around him as he observed trees breaking and bending, eventually succumbing to the force. The surroundings were swallowed into a hole formed from the rift behind him. As before, he lost consciousness.

Upon regaining awareness, Oliver inhaled the impossibly fresh air, purer than the Savage Land's. A weight pressed on his chest, and when he opened his eyes, he discovered a woman, blond hair and eyelashes, with beautiful blue eyes sleeping on him. She wore a golden dress, a matching shoulder guard, and a full gauntlet. Their eyes locked, and they felt each other's breath on their faces, captivated by the enchanting surroundings—a beautiful forest, lush green plants, vibrant yellow butterflies, and the adonis beneath her.

*BOOM* An explosion shattered the moment, causing Illyna Rasputin to startle and Oliver to disappear momentarily. Illyna's eyes widened as Oliver reappeared, clad in the Asgardian Pilgrim Sword. Summoning her own sword, larger and glowing blue, she cast a taunting look. A distant roar drew their attention. Illyna sprinted toward the sound, Oliver following suit, witnessing a battle between humans in Viking armor and monstrous orcs mounted on fierce creatures.

Confused, Oliver looked around, contemplating the unfamiliar scene. "Well, this is different," he thought. Dusk, a woman in a burka, conjured a massive storm of sand that engulfed the orcs. Protected by the shield generated by the shell, Oliver pondered, "How did she get on top of me, and why didn't the fur coat react?" Glancing at Illyna, who engaged in conversation with the fighters, he decided to approach, seeking answers. As he descended the hill, his imposing figure, armed with the Asgardian Pilgrim Sword and adorned in the unique fur coat, caused tension among the onlookers, adding an element of intimidation to his presence.

A/N well, another chapter, although its a late one, anyways, that is the end of the savage land(its the not the end of the volume, there is still a couple of chapters left, before the demon hunting arc begins), but fear not, its not the last time we see of this dinosaur filled land, after all, there is some resources left.

PS: i am exactly 10 chapters ahead, and i am tempted to do a poll for the items he is going to make next.

PS: aside from alchemy, puppeteering, and talisman, what other sub-proficiencies would guys like to see?

PS: as for Illyana Rasputin, YES, (but this is not the arc she would be part of, and yes, there is a lot of arcs)
