57 levelling up, consuming both dragon blood and adana's blood(chapter 57)

previously in chapter 56

"Well, since the compass pointed to it, I'm definitely picking it up," Oliver remarked to himself as he gathered the molten metal into a container. The metal was scorching hot to the touch, the heat seeping through the protective gloves he wore. Despite the discomfort, he continued his task with determination, knowing the value of such rare materials.

Continuing on his quest, Oliver encountered a multitude of creatures along the way. From rocky lizards with gleaming scales to crystalline tigers with razor-sharp claws, each encounter was a test of skill and resourcefulness. Yet, Oliver welcomed these challenges, seeing them as opportunities rather than obstacles. Every monster attack yielded valuable materials, adding to his growing collection.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

[Sometime later ]

Deep within the expanded shell home, which now resembled a spacious cavern, Oliver sat in the center on a makeshift meditation mat. The once cramped space had been rearranged, creating an open area that allowed for ease of movement.

In front of him, placed with care, were two vials containing vibrant red liquids. One vial exuded a fiery aura with hints of purple, while the other emitted a darker, more ominous vibe with an indigo glow. Oliver sat in a lotus position, bare-chested, his eyes closed in deep concentration.

The atmosphere within the cavern was charged with anticipation, a palpable sense of energy that seemed to crackle in the air. The temperature was cooler here compared to the scorching heat outside, yet the intensity of the moment made Oliver's skin prickle with sweat.

With a deep breath, Oliver opened his eyes, their intense blue hue reflecting the swirling colors of the vials before him. "Alright, let's get to this," he murmured to himself, his voice echoing slightly in the cavernous space. He stretched his limbs, the muscles in his arms and shoulders tense with anticipation.

With a decisive motion, Oliver reached for the first vial, the one containing the blood of the red Asgardian dragon. The liquid inside seemed to pulse with a fiery energy, as if alive with its own essence. Oliver uncorked the vial, the scent of brimstone and ancient power wafting into the air.

Bringing the vial of Draconic Essence Elixir to his lips, Oliver hesitated for a moment, his gaze fixed on the floating screen of the vial. The light from the elixir danced with an otherworldly glow, casting shadows across his face in the dimly lit cavern. The air seemed to hum with the power contained within the test tube.

With a sense of anticipation, Oliver tipped the vial back and drank the elixir in one swift motion. The liquid burned a searing path down his throat, igniting a fiery warmth within him. It was as if his very essence was being infused with the raw power of dragon magic. As the elixir took effect, Oliver's body underwent a startling transformation.

The first sign of change was his skin, which seemed to heat and harden. Dark scales emerged, spreading from his face down to the top of his chest. The scales were a deep red, shimmering with an iridescent sheen in the dim light of the cavern. His arms underwent a dramatic transformation, morphing into fully scaled dragon appendages with five humanoid fingers each.

But the transformation didn't stop there. Two magnificent horns sprouted from his forehead, curving upwards towards the cavern's ceiling. His eyes, once human, now glowed with a bright red hue, the pupils contracting into narrow slits. The transformation was complete, and Oliver now bore the visage of a fearsome red dragon.

Setting aside the empty vial, Oliver turned his attention to the second vial, the Eldritch Blood Flask, its indigo glow casting an eerie light in the cavern.

This vial contained the blood of Adana, the immortal Eldritch goddess. Its aura was darker, more mysterious, with an indigo glow that hinted at untold depths of power. Uncorking the vial, Oliver brought it to his lips once more. As the dark liquid touched his tongue, he felt a surge of ancient energy unlike anything he had experienced before. It was as if the blood of Adana whispered secrets to him, its eldritch essence mingling with his own.

Consuming the blood, Oliver's senses heightened, his awareness expanding to encompass the entire cavern. He could feel the pulsing energy of the molten metal he had collected, the residual magic from his battles, and the subtle shifts in the air around him. The atmosphere seemed charged with arcane energy, crackling with potential.

With both vials emptied, Oliver picked up the marrow devourer, which itself was upgraded with a D-ranked option. He then used it to make a small cut to his abdomen, causing blood to spew out. However, the wounds healed almost instantly, the blood returning to his body as quickly as it had spilled. "Well, this is just exciting," he smiled to himself as he got up. "Time to work on that armor."

Despite possessing several powerful armors, Oliver wasn't satisfied. Each armor had its advantages and disadvantages, and his idea was to create one that overlapped and compensated for any weaknesses.

On his to-do list was the task of making armor using the scales from the dark dragon. He intended to use his newly improved electric melting furnace for this purpose. The furnace had received an upgrade to its existing options and a new one.

----------------------------------------------------------

A/N Well, yes, he leveled up, and now he can give items a D-rank option, which might seem more powerful now, but just wait—my main goal is for A-ranked items (like the Crown of Eternis) to be able to go toe to toe with beings like Emperor Doom or the Beyonder himself, and for S-ranked items to be able to fight every single celestial that has ever existed, or for an SSS-ranked item to be able to have tea with the One Above All. Anyways, yesterday's poll was won by the tattoo gun, which I intend to allow Oliver to create tattoos on his body and summon them as either a weapon or just coat his hand in ice. I guess I could have used this to allow him to possess strength beyond human instead of giving him bloodlines. today's pole are the following items.

Update: well, i made a mistake, when i post this pole it should be on the current grade that he could create and not grades that couldn't create for now due to his level(the trident is grade A while he can only grant D ranked options, but don't worry, i will the trident would be moved to the weapons that he has slide as it actually won the pole by 1 vote, but for now, this is the new option)
