66 getting another heart(chapter 66)

Jennifer, meanwhile, effortlessly lifted a flipped hot dog stand back into place, her strength on full display. Oliver observed her actions with admiration before commenting, "While you, on the other hand, you're just different, I guess." It was a compliment, albeit an awkward one, as Oliver wasn't one for flirting.

Before he could delve further, Oliver changed the subject, "You should probably deal with them," nodding towards the ongoing clash between the two Hulks. With a nod, he added, "I'm Oliver, by the way," as Jennifer introduced herself oliver before turned to leave. Jennifer watched his retreating figure for a moment, a soft smile gracing her lips before she refocused on the task at hand.

Meanwhile, Oliver found himself drawn to a nearby building. His eyes, now resembling those of a dragon, allowed him to see through the walls. Inside, he observed several men wearing armor adorned with a black octopus symbol on their chests. "Hydra," he muttered to himself, recognizing the organization.

Chapter 66

"Hmm," Oliver pondered, his mind racing with possibilities. The Hydra soldiers were watching him, unaware that he was already aware of their presence. Eventually, Oliver decided to leave them be, curious about their intentions. "I wonder what they're planning?" he mused, more intrigued than fearful.

"This world's players seem to have taken an interest in me," Oliver remarked to himself, a sense of satisfaction in his progress evident. "But this isn't a bad situation, nor is it particularly dangerous. I'm no longer a powerless homeless kid with an E-ranked frying pan," he chuckled to himself, reminiscing about his humble beginnings.

After Oliver departed, the Hydra agents inside the building were monitoring his movements closely. "Target is on the move," one of the agents spoke into his earpiece, receiving instructions from their unseen leader. "Keep your distance. He must not be alarmed. We need to catch him off guard. Hail Hydra," the voice instructed, the agents echoing the mantra as they continued to tail Oliver stealthily.

However, Oliver was already several steps ahead, fully aware of their surveillance. Inside his shell home, he sat in a lotus position, the faint glow of the dragon heart casting a purple hue across the room. As he meditated, the heart pulsated with dark energy, resonating with ancient power. After a moment's focus, Oliver's eyes snapped open, a knowing smile playing on his lips as he gazed at the options presented by the heart.

[ Name: Heart of the Black Dragon ]

[ Grade: Purple ]

[ Description: This formidable heart once beat within the chest of an adult black dragon, felled by the combined might of a valkyrie and a half-breed red dragon. Its dark, pulsating energy resonates with ancient power. ]

[ Option 1: dragon heart (Rank: D) (Passive) - Grants the consumer a secondary draconic heart, producing a minute amount of draconic energy. ]

[ Option 2: Bloodline Advancement (Rank: D) (Passive) - Advances the consumer's bloodline transformation by 10%, tapping into the dragon's essence within. ]

[ Option 3: Lifespan Extension (Rank: D) (Passive) - Allows the consumer to extend their lifespan by 10 years, drawing upon the latent life force of the dragon's heart. ]

With a decisive grin, Oliver selected the Draconic Resilience option, feeling a surge of energy coursing through him. The moment he consumed the heart, a sharp sensation pierced his chest. His ribs shifted, making space for the secondary heart, which settled in alongside his own. The secondary dragon heart began to produce a faint draconic energy, akin to chi, though in a much smaller quantity. It pulsed in harmony with his own heartbeat, a new source of power coursing through his veins.

But this transformation wasn't over. In a flash of light and shadow, Oliver was forcefully thrust into his hybrid form. His hair lengthened, twisting into sleek, obsidian strands. Horns sprouted from his forehead, gleaming with an otherworldly sheen. His eyes narrowed into slits, the color shifting to a mesmerizing amber hue. Scales emerged across his body, starting from his forearms and spreading rapidly. Now, even his legs were encased in the glossy sheen of dragon scales, and intricate patterns adorned his cheeks.

As this change settled, Oliver felt a surge of strength, his muscles rippling with newfound power. His bones grew denser and more resilient, enhancing his durability. The air around him seemed charged with electricity, an aura of ancient power enveloping him.

"Well, two hearts now," Oliver muttered to himself, feeling the steady thrum of both his human and draconic hearts. "One producing draconic energy. That'll come in handy."

With a fluid motion, Oliver rose from his meditation, his mind already racing with plans. He glanced over at the materials he had set aside for his ultimate alloy, the Eldritch Alloy. The metal glinted with promise, its components ready for forging.

"Since I have all the materials ready, my goal of creating the ultimate alloy is within reach," he thought, a spark of excitement igniting in his chest. "I just need to consider the finer details to make it truly special. The production method, the forging locations..."

Lost in thought, Oliver began to strategize. "I can start by forging it across all realms, in different places. Yes, that's a good start," he concluded, a plan forming in his mind like a blueprint.

"First, Earth," he muttered, the world outside his shell home seeming to beckon. "Then, different realms and dimensions. But that means finding a way to traverse dimensions." With a determined nod, he made a mental note to work on dimensional travel as his next project.

Turning his attention to another creation, Oliver picked up a tattoo gun he had been working on. "Hmm, maybe I can find a way to make tattoos come alive," he mused, his mind buzzing with possibilities.

As he continued to contemplate, Oliver began melting antimony with other metals, practicing the art of fusion. To his surprise, he discovered a unique property of the liquid metal. Due to its composition, the metal remained in a perpetual liquid state, constantly swirling and shifting.

Thinking it was ready for forging, Oliver poured the liquid metal into a mold, only to be greeted by a shimmering golden liquid that defied solidification. No matter how many times he attempted to cool it with an ice crystal, the metal resisted, maintaining its liquid form.

"Damn it," Oliver cursed, frustration evident in his voice as he stared at the swirling mass. "Well, there's only one way to find out what's wrong with it." With a resigned sigh, he activated an option from his system.

[ Name: Eldritch Alloy ]

[ Grade: Purple ]

[ Description: This extraordinary alloy is a fusion of anti-metal, enhanced steel, adamantium, deep iron ore, scales from a giant arctic snake, and a drop from an eldritch immortal goddess. Its unique composition keeps it in a perpetual liquid state, in the shape of a sphere. ]

[ Option 1: Mind and Body Augmentation (Rank: D) (Passive) - Enhances the user's cognitive and physical abilities by 100%. ] (a/n this was a mistake)

[ Option 2: Adaptive Fusion (Rank: D) (Passive) - The liquid alloy can consume other materials to improve its grade over time, increasing its durability and overall quality. ]

[ Option 3: Form Manipulation (Rank: D) (Passive) - Responds to the user's will, allowing the alloy to change its form for different applications or situations. ]

[ Durability: 100% ]

As the option revealed itself, Oliver's eyes narrowed in realization. The Eldritch Alloy, with its potent mix of materials, was more than just a metal. It was a living, ever-changing entity. The liquid metal before him was not a flaw but a feature, a manifestation of the alloy's adaptive nature.
