58 Finding Uru(chapter 58)

prevoius in chapter 57

With both vials emptied, Oliver picked up the marrow devourer, which itself was upgraded with a D-ranked option. He then used it to make a small cut to his abdomen, causing blood to spew out. However, the wounds healed almost instantly, the blood returning to his body as quickly as it had spilled. "Well, this is just exciting," he smiled to himself as he got up. "Time to work on that armor."

Despite possessing several powerful armors, Oliver wasn't satisfied. Each armor had its advantages and disadvantages, and his idea was to create one that overlapped and compensated for any weaknesses.

On his to-do list was the task of making armor using the scales from the dark dragon. He intended to use his newly improved electric melting furnace for this purpose. The furnace had received an upgrade to its existing options and a new one.

[ Option 3: Elemental Infusion (Rank: E) (Active) - imbues the molten metal with elemental properties, such as fire or ice, depending on a reagent provided but there is a chance that the whole metal fails ]

[ Durability: 95% ]

"With this new option skill, I could turn regular iron into fire iron just by adding a fire agent like demonic blood or a fire dragon's blood," but the chance of failure is not a good look Oliver mused as he began his work on the new armour before he then started imbuing metal bars with elemental properties, most of them ended in failure, causing his enthusiasm towards the smelter lessen great but Hours passed as he meticulously refined his materials, the smelter humming with electrical energy.

Emerging from his shell home, Oliver found himself in a different environment than the blazing plains; he was near the Skornheim mountain. His compass in hand, he followed its erratic guidance. "It must be something powerful for it to be going this crazy," he thought to himself, continuing to follow its direction. "But with the new option on this compass, I have a way to return to any destination I've visited," he smiled, glancing at the new addition to the compass.

[ Name: Arcane Navigator's Compass ]

[ Option 1: Material Locator - Detects nearby special materials within 50 miles, displaying their direction (Rank: D) (Passive) ]

[ Option 2: Holographic Guidance - Projects a holographic map of the surrounding area to the user, with an arrow pointing towards the designated target (Rank: D) (Passive) ]

[ Option 3: Interdimensional Pathway - Creates a temporary dimensional pathway to any previously visited location, allowing instant travel (Rank: D) (Active) ]

[ Durability: 100% ]

"I can immediately return to any place I have been while in possession of this compass," Oliver remarked, relieved at the newfound convenience. With this option, he didn't have to worry about hitching a ride back to Earth. "But for now, let's see what's got my compass going crazy," he muttered, setting out to find the source of the disturbance.

After hours of tracking, he arrived at a crater, the ground scarred and smoking. "Hmm, so it's probably a meteorite," he mused, examining the surroundings. However, to his surprise, there was nothing visible within the crater. Scrutinizing the area, he realized, "Wait, is it buried?" He glanced at the compass, which still indicated the presence of the mysterious item. With a sigh, he resolved, "Well, I did want to try out my new dragon's claw," before transforming and digging into the earth.

Hours passed, the crater now sporting a massive hole that seemed to stretch for miles. Finally, Oliver emerged, covered in dirt and soil, a triumphant smile on his face. "That took a while," he groaned, but the sight of the metal ore in his hand made it all worthwhile. "Well, this better be worth it," he muttered, making his way back to his shell home.

After cleaning himself up and attempting to give the ore an option, Oliver finally succeeded as the item was now surrounded by an indigo hue. "Yep, definitely worth it," he grinned, sensing the immense value of the ore.

However, as he delved into the description of the item, a strange smile played on his lips. "Hmm, this is too much of a coincidence," he thought.

[ Name: Primordial Uru Ore ]

[ Grade: Indigo ]

[ Description: This rare ore is uru, which hails from the first moon in existence, rumored to be remnants of the rock of creation. Known as the strongest substance across realms, Uru is highly durable, non-sparking, and astonishingly malleable. It possesses a unique ability to absorb and enhance magical attributes. ]

[ Option 1: Arcane Conduit (Rank: D) (Passive) - The Uru ore acts as a conduit for magical energy, subtly enhancing the wielder's ability to channel and control spells and enchantments. ]

[ Option 2: Resilient Core (Rank: D) (Passive) - Imbues the bearer with a subtle, innate resistance to magical disruption, allowing for more stable and long-lasting enchantments on items crafted with this ore. ]

[ Option 3: Mystical Resonance (Rank: D) (Active) - When activated, the ore emits a faint magical resonance, amplifying nearby magical effects or spells cast by the wielder for a short duration. ]

"Uru, well, I'm not complaining. I just didn't know that uru is primarily a magical weapon," he sighed, another dilemma forming in his head. "And how am I going to combine mystrium and uru together? Heck, how am I going to combine anti-metal and adamantium?" Just asking himself these questions got him worrying before he shrugged, "Well, I'll leave it to future me. But for now, it's time to go and get that fifth metal, vibranium," he sighed, recalling a place famous for it.

With a thought, Oliver activated the third option on the compass, returning to the forest where he had encountered Captain America and Captain Marvel. Retrieving the Sorcerer Killer, he resolved, "Well, let's head to Wakanda."

- Scene Change -

Days passed since Oliver's return to Earth, yet his mission to obtain Wakandan vibranium remained unsuccessful. Despite spending hours searching for mercenaries or organizations that opposed Wakanda, he hadn't made any progress. The intergalactic empire that was Wakanda, backed by numerous organizations, posed a formidable challenge. While Oliver wasn't afraid to steal from them, he sought the path of least resistance.

The organizations capable of challenging Wakanda remained elusive, hiding their presence to avoid detection. Currently, Oliver sat in a restaurant, his muscular frame barely contained by a black T-shirt. His short hair swayed gently in the slow wind, and he wore glasses—the newly upgraded Scholar's Spectacles—while focusing on his laptop.

A/N Well, one metal down, one more metal to go. If you have any other metals that he doesn't have, be sure to comment. Also, many of you were worried about the clones. There won't be a problem with them; they are completely safe. Plus, it will be convenient for him when he is searching for materials anyway. The cloning pod won, and I am already working on it in Chapter 67. Yes, I am finally 10 chapters ahead (I have been staying up until 5 in the morning), but for today's pole we have.
