1 Marvelous Orphan Survives

It's been 35 long, strange years since I stumbled into this Marvel universe. As a scrappy orphan from Hell's Kitchen, life was never easy -- especially for a girl. But I refused to back down and instead dedicated myself to learning all sorts of oddball skills to survive in this wild world. From a young age, I took up hobbies like hacking, fighting, cooking, sports, and even learning obscure languages. Some people called me a jack of all trades... but really, I was just ready for anything that came my way. And wouldn't you know it -- all those strange talents helped land me a teaching gig at Midtown High School, where I now impart my wisdom to the next generation. Despite my humble beginnings, I've managed to climb the social ladder and make quite a fortune. You see, as a time traveler, I had a pretty good idea which tech companies were going to blow up -- so I invested early and now have shares worth a cool 4 million dollars. Not too shabby for a gal from the streets. And just when I was thinking about packing up and leaving New York because of those pesky storms on the horizon... something unexpected happened that made me reconsider my plans. Oh well, guess I'll be sticking around for a bit longer after all!

The darkness dissipated, and a blinding white light revealed...a naked woman? Yup, it's her again. She was just monologuing a minute ago, but now she's standing here completely nude. Before she could even process the situation, a voice boomed out of nowhere.

"Hello Mortal woman," it said. Of course, that's not her real name, but let's roll with it. The woman responded with a cautious 

"Hello..." But the mysterious voice wasn't interested in small talk. It snapped its fingers and *poof*, and a spinning wheel appeared in front of her.

"This roulette is filled with characters from across the multiverse," the voice explained.

"Whatever you land on, you get their powers, items, or skills." And with that, the wheel began to spin. Names like Sherlock Holmes and Saitama flew by before finally landing on...Mr. Bean. Not exactly what she was hoping for. But then Batman showed up, followed by Wonder Woman. Looks like this is her lucky day! Or so she thought until the woman interrupted with a firm

"Stop!" The voice paused in confusion.

"What now?" they asked impatiently.

"Can someone please explain to me what the heck is going on here?" the woman pleaded. The voice let out an exasperated sigh.

"Why does everyone always need an explanation? Fine, mortal, I'll humor you." And with that, they launched into yet another lengthy explanation of their little game of chance.

As other gods sent mortals to travel between worlds, it created a tear in the very fabric of reality. This caused the reincarnation space to malfunction, leading certain souls to be misplaced and stranded in unfamiliar realms. Blame fell upon the negligent gods for their reckless actions. In an effort to remedy this issue, they crafted a unique solution in the form of a character gifting wheel. This tool would act as a guide and aid for those lost souls, granting them gifts and abilities to navigate through foreign lands and find their way back home. With each spin of the wheel, fate would determine the destiny of these misplaced souls and give them a fighting chance to overcome their unexpected journey.
