4 Fried Chicken Face

"Same old rule. One person can only buy three at most."

After greeting his customers, Fanny's snack shop began opening for business. Skye had no time to ask about what had happened on campus. Fanny was in charge of cooking, and she was in charge of collecting money and managing ingredients.

The Upper East Side of Manhattan could be said to be the place where the richest people in New York gathered, including the Stark Tower. Therefore, nobody would bat an eye even when Fanny sold the Karaage rolls at the sky-high price of ten dollars apiece; rather, they all came back for more.

"Hey, Fanny, we have known each other for so long, haven't we? Wouldn't you give me two more?" A 30-something man in a suit asked with a smile while watching Fanny skillfully making the Karaage rolls.

"Mr. Wright, you are a big boss, so you know integrity best." Fanny shrugged. "Moreover, I only have so many chickens. If I start giving you special treatment, the people behind you will definitely make the same requests. The chicken would run out before the end of the queue. If they get angry and smash my shop, you won't be able to eat it anymore."

"Alright, alright, three then." Feeling the angry gazes of the people lining up behind him, Mr. Wright smiled awkwardly. He quickly paid the money and walked aside to find a place to sit down.

Mr. Wright took a bite of the richly fragrant fried chicken, and his face revealed an intoxicated expression. Those who didn't know would probably think that Fanny drugged the fried chicken.

Fanny only finished serving his customers after the sky became completely dark.

After hanging the 'Open from Time to Time' sign at the door again, Fanny returned inside and began to pack his belongings. Seeing Skye still happily counting the money, he couldn't help but smile.

"Don't be happy just yet. You can only take one-tenth of it."

The smile on Skye's face suddenly froze. She turned her head with a pitiful expression and even wiped away non-existent tears. "I am your sister. I have worked so hard for you. Would you be so heartless to only give me one-tenth of it!?"

"Then one-twentieth?" Fanny feigned ignorance.

"Hmph!" Skye's expression instantly returned to normal. She glared fiercely at Fanny and continued to happily count the money.

Although Fanny always said he would only give her one-tenth, he never hesitated to give her money if she needed it, so this money was basically hers anyway. But Fanny said nothing and simply smiled.

After tidying up the trash and changing his clothes, Fanny walked closer to Skye's and prepared to tease her again.

Suddenly, two people entered the shop. Just as he was about to tell them that the shop was closed, Fanny's eyes widened, and his heart skipped a beat.

"Don't move. Take out the money."

Skye, who was counting the money, looked at this scene in a daze. After living for so many years, this was the first time she had been held at gunpoint. Flustered, she glanced at Fanny and found that he gave her a reassuring look.

Fanny did not expect to encounter such a thing. This was Upper East Side, the place where the elites and business elites gathered. With the complicated situations of the gangsters, hooligans generally understood the rules and would not come here to cause trouble.

And a powerful criminal wouldn't go out of their way for such a small shop in remote locations and with uncertain business time. It wasn't like Fanny's shop competed with anyone out here.

Therefore, in the past two years, this was the first time he had encountered a robbery—or any public disturbance, really, in the shop.

Fanny calmly raised his hand. While quietly moving, he said to the two masked robbers, "The money is here. Please do not hurt us."

"You, put the money out where I can see it," One of the robbers barked at Skye, then pointed his gun at Fanny. "Stand still, don't play tricks on me."

Skye glanced at Fanny, who nodded at her still with reassuring eyes, and took out a backpack. Her hands were trembling when she filled the bag with money.

"Hurry up!" The robber urged impatiently.

Fanny frowned. If he was alone, he should be able to subdue the robbers with his ability. But with Skye here, he couldn't take the risk.

Fanny could see that these two were low-level thugs that probably weren't even in a gang. Otherwise, they wouldn't break the rules just to rob this place. Fanny didn't care much about losing the day's turnover, and he wasn't sure he could win against the gun.

But things don't always go according to one's wishes.

The robber that was watching the door seemed to have his screw loosened somehow. He looked up and down at Skye and shouted shamelessly, "Hey dude, this girl is so beautiful!"

Skye's face turned slightly pale in fright, and Fanny frown's deepened.

"Shut up. Go get the money and get ready to leave!" The robber who was pointing a gun at Fanny obviously did not want to waste any more time, and he shouted back at the robber at the door.

"Hehe, okay!" The man let out a strange laugh and walked toward Skye with obvious malice.

Fanny took a deep breath and focused his gaze. It would have been fine if the two just wanted the money, but they had to court death. Although he didn't want to expose himself, he couldn't accept his loved ones getting hurt.

In these eight years, what Fanny perfected every day wasn't just fried chicken.

"Now, look back."

As the man walked past him, 'Ars Magna' activated. Under his power's control, the two robbers forcibly turned their heads back.

Moving like the wind.

The moment they turned around, Fanny immediately rushed towards the robber with the gun. Relying on some fighting techniques he learned online, he grabbed the gun in the robber's hand and knocked him to the ground.

But before he could sigh in relief, Fanny found that the other robber was touching a bulge on his chest.

"He also has a gun!"

This thought flashed through Fanny's mind.

"I can't let him take out the gun."

Their current distance was about three meters. The robber beside Fanny had fallen to the ground, but he wasn't completely subdued. Fanny might not be able to properly cohere his thought to stop the other robber from taking out his gun with 'Ars Magna.'

He would have to shoot first. Even if it's his first time shooting a gun, it would be impossible to miss at such close range.

Fanny made his decision in a split second and subconsciously reached for his most familiar skill.

Three streaming hot Karaage rolls instantly appeared, hitting the robber's face.

The skill also evolved in this moment of desperation, allowing him to summon three at once. How delightful.

Bang!

The gunshot rang out. Fanny shot the gun he took from the robber on the ground, but to his surprise, he missed the point-blank shot. He aimed at the robber's thigh, but the bullet only went through the pants. Fortunately, the gunshot was enough to shock the robber. He didn't continue taking his gun out, even after the Karaage rolls fell to the ground.

"Don't move. If you move, I will shoot." Fanny took advantage of their surprise and threatened them. Perhaps still shocked from the gunshot, the robber obediently stood still. Fanny turned at the robber on the ground and kicked his stomach. He then shouted at Skye, "Skye, call the police!"

All of this happened too quickly. The two robbers were subdued in the blink of an eye. Skye watched everything unfold in a daze, unable to react. She only snapped out of it when Fanny called out to her, and she took out her cell phone to call the emergency number.

"Hey, dude, brother, it's our mistake. Please don't call the police." When they heard Fanny's order to call the police, the robbers panicked and immediately begged for mercy. Fanny was about to ignore them, but he then noticed the fried chicken on the ground.

"Skye, wait a minute."

Skye paused, her phone already displaying the emergency number. She looked at Fanny, who was frowning in deep thought, and obediently put down the phone.

The two robbers were slightly surprised at Fanny's compliance, but their surprise was immediately replaced by gratitude, "Thank you, thank you!"

Fanny was currently regretting his use of 'Sumire Karaage Rolls' to distract the robber. It would be troublesome if the police came and checked the surveillance footage.

Fanny didn't even want to think about silencing the robbers. It would've been better to let the police station take care of it.
