Superhero Teamup?

Isaac stares at the female jumping from rooftop to rooftop, displaying impressive feats of agility as she performs countless impressive acrobatics.

Isaac looks back and notices the jewels and valuables missing from the cases they were in.

"That little…" Isaac steps on the windowsill as the female looks back at him, smiling after seeing him on his way.

"Light Gravity x100."

In a blurring second, Isaac disappears from his position, reappearing before the female as a strong gust of wind prompts her to stumble a little. The smirk was wiped off her face as she stared at Isaac with wide eyes.

"Nice try." He says, grabbing both her arms and handcuffing her with handcuffs he randomly found on some criminals.

"You're fast, aren't you Speedster?" She says, her original smirk returning as Isaac drops her to the ground.

"You've got some nerve, lady." Says Isaac.

"Oh, don't be like that. We make a great team. We're destined to be partners." She says, to which Isaac tilts his head in confusion.

Isaac says nothing as he grabs her pouch and searches it. He finds bundles of money from the criminals he stopped at the beginning of the night, diamonds from his second bust and the jewellery from the crime she was just stopping. He paused as he realised what she meant about them being a partner.

"Have you been following me all night…" As he looks back, he finds the handcuffs on the ground and the female gone. He looked around but to no avail.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you just got swindled. It's alright, kid. Happens to the best of us." Says Darwin as Isaac rubs his head and lets out an exasperated huff.

"Screw you, dude."

Isaac woke up to the sound of his alarm blaring as he slept on his mattress. Despite the mattress surviving Isaac's past weight, he couldn't say the same for his bed. All he could do was throw it out and make do with his mattress.

He slowly got up as he looked at the time. In the next second, he leapt from his bed and snatched his phone from the table.

He quickly opened it and scrolled through the latest news, clicking on a video published by the Daily Bugle.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it brings me great displeasure to announce that New York has become a cesspool for freaks in masks, who want nothing more than to reduce our great nation to ashes." As Isaac was about to click off the babbling buffoon, something caught his attention.

"In addition to the web-slinging menace, a new character has risen from the gutters, with the villainous idea to force innocent civilians into doing his dirty work for him, then assaulting and robbing them of the loot." Saying this, the camera changes from J Jonah Jameson to a criminal Isaac recognized as the driver of the red vehicle the previous night, wearing a neck brace and sporting a black eye.

"It's true. We were blackmailed into robbing banks and holding civilians at gunpoint. He said if we refused he would kill my family. We couldn't even fight back. It was like he was made of stone. We couldn't even reason with him. He kept talking to himself like a lunatic." Said the man, crying as the camera changed back to Jameson.

"There you have it, people. Proof that this once great city, where dreams were made of, has been corrupted. As for this new villain, you're a coward. The good people left in this city will stand up to you. We will not be bullied into submission. I hope you're watching Weakstone." The video ended as Isaac's dark face left Darwin slightly worried. Because of this mishap, the criminals who were looking at years in prison were only charged with probation.

"Hey buddy, how are you feeling?" Asks Darwin, watching Isaac say nothing and move to his closet, and putting on his mask.

"I'll kill them. Every single one of them. The Cat, Jameson and those lowly criminals." Says Isaac as countless veins bulge in his face and neck.

"Hey, let's look on the bright side. Weakstone is a pretty decent name." Says Darwin, trying his best to calm down the teen.

"No, it's not! It was a stupid suggestion to make the public choose my name. I could've come up with something way cooler." He snaps back. Before he can leave, Darwin speaks again.

"Well, you can't leave now. It's broad daylight. If Jameson is as influential as I hear, I'd wait till the sun sets if I were you." He says, prompting Isaac to halt his steps.

"What am I supposed to do till then?" He says after he removed his mask.

"You're on your summer break. Do whatever you would have done if you didn't have superpowers." He says as Isaac looks back to his computer.

"Well, I haven't played League in a while…"

"No…anything but that. League of Legends is a bad game that shouldn't exist. Play something else." Says Darwin, quickly rejecting the idea.

Isaac says nothing as he removes his equipment and grabs his phone, dialling a number.

"Hey, Dad." Starts Isaac.

"Isaac, is there something wrong?" Asks his Father. Fury was under the impression that Isaac was going to be occupied with gaming all summer.

"Why does something have to be wrong for me to want to call my Dad?" He says, to which Fury sighs and drops the file he's holding. He was currently in a dimly lit room with countless pieces of paper and documents surrounding him.

"I'm fine, how's everything with you? Are you remembering to take your medication given by the hospital?" He asks, referring to the time Isaac was beaten to a pulp.

Isaac exits his room and glances at the kitchen counter, seeing the bag of medicine he hadn't touched since the day he was discharged.

"Yup, I don't miss a single one…"

"Boy, get those meds off the kitchen counter and start paying attention to your health." He yells, causing Isaac's ear to ring.

"How the hell did he know?" Asks Darwin, dumbfounded.

Fury stays quiet for a couple of seconds before asking Isaac a question.

"Isaac, is there anything else you can remember from the day you encountered Task…the weirdo?" He asks, to which Isaac raises an eyebrow at the sudden change in their conversation.

"Just what I told you. Oh, also the guy seemed like he recognized my greatness. He would stop complimenting me." He says, prompting Fury to lean in.

"What else?"

"He was saying some other things like he thought it was just some rich folks who wanted me dead and that he might have been wrong." Fury stared into blank space and stayed quiet, causing Isaac to see if he was still on the call.

"Alright, thanks. Make sure to swallow your meds otherwise, I will shoot you." Says Fury before ending the call. Isaac walks to his sink as he pours himself a glass of water.

"For some reason, I believe him when he says he'll shoot you." Comments Darwin.

"Don't be ridiculous. The most he'll do is stab me like that one time." Says Isaac as he swallows a pill.

"Who do you think wants you dead?" Asks Darwin, to which Isaac pauses, raising an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about?"

"You can't be this dense. Taskmaster, or the Weirdo as you know him, is a contract killer. He wouldn't have hunted you down if someone did pay him." He says, causing Isaac to pause.

"Are you telling me I have a target on my back?"

"Is this the first time you're asking yourself these questions?" Says Darwin in a flat and sarcastic tone.

"I didn't care. I was just happy to be alive." Isaac defends himself.

"You're a piece of work, you know that Isaac?"

A van stopped before a small house and a few individuals stepped out.

"Cheer up, would you? You should be excited for this new beginning." Says a female as she holds a box, facing a younger teenage girl.

"I'll cheer up when we move back to New Jersey. New York is the city equivalent to trash." She says as her mother hands her a box and rolls her eyes.

"It's better to embrace change rather than to shun it. This is happening, so it'd be wise of you to start accepting it." Says a man as he and the older female walk into the house before them holding boxes.

"Isn't this easier for you, seeing as most of your little friends live here?" Asks a male who seems older than her as he walks by.

"They aren't my little friends. We're a team." She retaliates. As she says this, a limo parks behind her.

"Miss Khan, I'm here to transport you to the team meeting in Vanguard Tower." Says the chauffeur after stepping out of the vehicle.

"Tell Mr Rhodes I don't need a limo. This house was enough, I don't need you pampering me." She says to the driver.

"Actually, Miss Khan, this was requested by Ms Walters." Says the driver, keeping his stoic demeanour.

"Fine, give me a minute." She said defeated, as the man returned to his car.

The girl sighed as she looked around her new neighbourhood. The place she'd be living for a while.

As she was looking around, she noticed a newspaper on the ground published by the Daily Bugle. She briefly read a page speaking of a new criminal who blackmailed civilians into committing crimes.

"Scumbag. Well, I guess the only good thing about this city is that there are a lot of assholes to teach a lesson." She whispers. However, she was snapped out of her trance as she heard her mother yelling her name.

"Let's go, Kamala!"

"Activate Tech Veil."

In the busy streets of New York, a boy could be seen leaping out of his window and soaring through the sky, as if he were carried by the wind.

"Where to?"

"First, I'm finding that thief and clearing my name. Then I'll teach that Jameson a lesson." Says Isaac as he flies.

"That's easier said than done. Where are you even going to start?" Asks Darwin. Isaac didn't know, but what better place to start than at the scene of the crime?

He travelled for a minute before reaching the roof where she escaped, only to find the Cat Burglar waving at him with a smile as he landed before her.

"You won't get away this time." He says, preparing to grab her.

"I don't plan to, Speedy. Instead, I have a proposal for you." She says with her hands up, her usual smirk on her face.

"A proposal?"

"Yes. Didn't I say we'd make a great team?"
