1 prologue

"Hi, so you must be wondering why I was breaking the legendary fourth wall from the beginning, huh? Well, you don't have to worry about that too much, it's just for this time." said a boy around the age of 16 while leaning against a wall of an abundant house and peaking at the night sky.

"Ah, where are my manners? Let me introduce myself. My name is Kar-el and yes, you guessed right about where this is going. I'm a Kryptonian. and this is my story's beginning." I said dramatically as if I was revealing a great secret.

' Look how much I have fallen, believing that I'm a part of some fiction, heh. It's not like it will change anything about the current situation. I should get moving if I want to survive in this cruel, cruel world. **sigh**.'

I turned my sight away from the sky and looked at the massive jungle of visible skyscrapers from my position and the Statue of Liberty behind them, which pretty much confirmed the city I was currently in.

I again brought my vision to the sky and sighed dejectedly, ' even though seeing a sky full of stars is pretty much impossible currently due to pollution, at least it's still much, much better than krypton or my old earth.'

"Whether it's homo sapiens or Kryptonians, both are social creatures. I can't stay away from humans now that I'm on earth again. It doesn't matter which one it is. Otherwise, I will get mad from loneliness." I muttered to myself.

'Whatever, let's get some sleep before I spend the whole night just talking to myself. ' I decided while taking a deep breath and closing my eyes.

*** Next day 4:35 am (POV Kar-el)

Two houses away from the alley where I slept yesterday. I was walking towards the main part of the city so I could do something about my current financial crisis.

While I was at it, why not see if I could find anything useful about myself by being in the proper mental state? I thought while walking.

'Yesterday I was not in the right state to care about anything at all, but in my defense, it's not easy to acknowledge that my patron god doesn't like it when I want to just die peacefully, so he made me end up here at the last moment.'

'Well, it looks like while he left me in an alley to fend for myself and survive, he had the consciousness to at least give me a starter pack.' I thought to myself as I took out what appeared to be a man's wallet from my jacket.

I checked it out, and it contained some cash and an identity card, which brought a smile to my face.

I froze in my current position and looked around for a reflective surface to check my face on.

It earned me some eyebrows, but neither I nor someone else on the street cared about it enough after a few seconds.

It looked like my face hadn't changed at all. I didn't know why I thought it had changed, considering that I could still feel my krypton cells devouring stellar energy from the yellow star that this planet orbits around.

I began my journey again with a confident gait, so I wouldn't attract human vultures thinking that I was prey. After all, an area with abandoned houses attracts those kinds of people.

After a quick calculation, it was clear to me that the cash in the wallet was exactly $69.69, which might be another sick joke from my patron god.

"So let's again check how much information I have currently available. First and foremost, my Kryptonian lineage is still inside of me, just in a pseudo-dormant state. "

"While I can't use the physical and nuisance aspects ( heat vision, ice breath, magnetic field wave control of any kind), I can still have the durability of a Kryptonian that has bathed for a day under a yellow star as well as super senses."

"Thank god that I was preparing for this day and trained for this sudden influx of sensory information, otherwise the consequences would have been dire."

"I would be unlocking other aspects little by little as time passed, according to my patron god. It's more of a boon than a curse, actually, as it will help me with controlling all that vast power more easily if I get it in installments."

"If you look at it subjectively, he treats me well even though I curse at him so much, but who cares about his feelings? At least not me.''

I breathed deeply in the fresh air of the morning, which was so much better than krypton. Just imagining how much better the air would be away from the hustle and bustle of cities settled a smile on my face.

' Another gift from him is that until my lineage is in this dormant state put by him, I will not be detected by beings that he doesn't want to know about me, which is kind of unfair because he should have let me decide who I wanted my presence to be known to, but beggars can't be choosers."

"Well, at least my original wishes remain the same, so I will forgive him. Huh?' I paused my thoughts as I spotted an old newspaper on the street.

I picked up the newspaper from the street on which the headlines are—Hammer Industries or Stark Industry, which one will sign the contract for the arms deal with the army?

"The Marvel Universe is it? Let's find out which one it is then. The more I'm aware of my surroundings, the more I will be prepared when shit hits the fan. God, I hope it's MCU."

"Now I get why he told me at the time of deporting me here that until my lineage remains dormant, no one will realize my presence. Certainly, I don't wish to be visited by a sorcerer supreme on my second day here."
