7 Elemetary Blood Operation

"This is like the MCU that's mutated with Marvel Comic Serum", he muttered to himself, his brain whirring at full force...

Perhaps the MCU's events would be altered by the presence of so many other variables, or it may not. Perhaps the enemies he would have to face would be far, far more powerful due to them being closer to their comic counterparts.

Earth - 65 Norman Osborn was a noble and influential figure who never became the green goblin, but this wasn't Earth - 65 thus he was probably right about not trusting Osborn. Thanos may be closer to his comics counterpart which meant they were doomed. The Beyonders may decide to destroy the multiverse in an experiment and the Celestial within Earth could wake up.

'The worst part is that Mephisto might exist...', he thought narrowing his eyes. 'I need a plan to beat him...A fucking Cosmic being...'

'No...I need plans to beat everyone...', He spun on his chair faster. 'Since I have no clue how the plot will play out, I'll have to assume the worst. Loki wins, Hydra wins, Thanos wins and so on. I can't be complacent. I need to gain more power - more security'

'Well...first things first, I need to adapt my genome to accept and enhance mutations perfectly'

He picked up his phone, and messaged Gwen.

The sun was setting in New York City, lathering the bustling streets with dark, golden light, plunging most of the alleys into darkness, prompting the nasty underworld to surface - dirtying the famed streets. But luckily for the citizens, their solution came in the form of an unlikely saviour.

A small figure stood atop the Empire State wearing a white hoodie. A tight black shirt covered her obviously feminine body and a similarly coloured Ski mask and black goggles hid her identity.

Gwen felt her phone vibrate in her pocket.

'Did I not put it on silent?', she thought in confusion before whipping out her smartphone with a cracked screen.

She ignored the message as she was on crime duty but quickly did a double take when she realised that it was from Peter.

Peter : [ So....are we gonna talk about what happened in the taxi? ]

Gwen took in a shaky breath as she read exactly what she had dreaded.

Three months ago, she had been bitten by a small spider when Harry had taken MJ, Peter and her to Oscorp.

She didn't think much of it at first - of course, she screamed and flailed around before Peter stomped it to death, but she'd woken up the next day accidentally tearing her bedroom door off its hinges.

She'd quickly discovered that she'd been gifted with powers beyond her wildest imagination. Super strength, adhesive touch, superspeed, enhanced senses, and most prominently, the spidey sense. It took some time to get used to them, but she eventually learnt to hold back enough to not rip apart everything around her.

She chose to keep her powers secret, to prevent unwanted attention on her and her loved ones while experimenting with them by fighting crime, which was inspired by her father's job.

It went great for a month - she even earned the moniker 'Spider-woman' and was even called 'Ghost-Spider' by some which flattered her. But it slowly went from stopping common thugs to fighting villains that could somewhat hold their own against her. Sure, she could easily defeat them if she went all out, but the fact that she could actually get hurt made her stop her nightly adventures in the past month.

'But the devastation I saw today afternoon changed my mind...', she thought, her heart clenching in pain.

"But that led to Peter finding out...", she muttered under her breath.

She had no doubt that he knew something was wrong. She was quite intelligent - after all, she had manufactured her very own web-shooters and canisters on her own with junkyard scrap. She was called a genius in engineering by many, but Peter absolutely dwarfed her in terms of intellect. If it weren't for his aunt insisting that he experience school life at its fullest, he would've graduated college at age nine.

If that wasn't enough, he was actually the one who'd unknowingly given her the formula for her web fluid. She had once joked about how Spiderweb had better tensile strength than anything humans could currently manufacture and how nature could still one-up humankind, when Peter thought for a few minutes, looked her dead in the eye and told her a theoretical method by which she could manufacture an improved web fluid to prove that humans were still superior.

She had improved upon that theoretical method to manufacture her webs but that just spoke to the inhuman processing power and IQ that he had. That's why she had absolutely no hope of gaslighting him given his terrifying memory.

She sighed and texted back,

Gwen : [ Dunno....we wore seatbelts, didn't we? ]

Peter : [ ... ]

Gwen : [ What? My dad couldn't stop gushing over you at home, you know. Responsibility and that usual crap ]

Peter : [ lol. I should be the one thanking you]

Gwen : [ No thanks needed...but you don't need me to explain how I did what I did? ]

Peter : [ Nope, I deduced it. ]

"'Course he did...", she chuckled.

Gwen : [ Uh-huh....I'll tell you how exactly it happened if you tell me why you were acting odd the last three days ]

Peter : [ Sure ]

"Oh!", Gwen raised her brows in surprise. She didn't expect it to be that easy.

Gwen : [ Tell me tmrw? ]

Peter : [ Can't do that. I'll have to show you. Come over tmrw after school. You'll be surprised. ]

Gwen raised her eyebrows further.

Gwen : [ Sure, you better not disappoint : ) ]

BANG!

She jerked her head to the side, seeing four men dressed in black and with clown masks on their face discharging a firearm outside a bank.

Gwen : [ I gtg ]

With a superhuman leap, she jumped off the gigantic building, enjoying the joys of freefall before swinging over to the robbers and landing right in front of them.

"Hey fellas, just a heads up: my spidey sense is tingling, and it's not loving your fashion choices!"

"Part one is complete", Peter muttered to himself before swivelling around to look at the clock near the door.

8: 30 pm

He had his Pre-Boards tomorrow as well.

"Eh....still got time", he shrugged before turning to the array of machines before him.

It was time to drastically improve the Lizard serum.

Sorry for the shorter chapter today. I'm moving to my college tomorrow and had to fully pack my things. Moreover, I'll be on a plane most of tomorrow, so may not be able to post then. I'll make up for it by posting multiple at the weekends.

Cheers!
