79 Chapter 077 Great rewards and Peter

Chapter 077

['Level 5' has officially started.]

[The tower has issued a challenge. Solve the riddles of the Riddler.]

[If you die in the Tower of Eraskis, you will lose your life in the real world too.]

Alex looked at the notifications that had popped up and sighed. The previous rounds had tired him out and he hadn't been able to get any rest.

Moreover, this round sounded like a puzzle.

He glanced up, his eyes looking around the room before landing on the man standing in the middle of the room. He was a tall guy. Even taller than him and was wearing a white mask.

Alex can see that his ears were pointy, indicating that he wasn't exactly a human. Maybe an elf or some other fantasy creature?

'At least I don't have to fight in this round.'

He thought, thinking back to the previous levels.

In Level 3, he needed to fight off a Minotaur in a room that was getting hotter every second. He only survived because of his fire resistance.

In Level 4, he needed to fight a lich and his undead soldiers. It was a really hard fight and Alex even got cursed from time to time but he was able to defeat it in the end.

These two fights really tired him out and although the rewards were quite good, he still wanted some rest.

"Power of Minotaur - Berserk and the Book of Dark summoning."

He muttered the name of the rewards he had gotten and smiled. One was a skill that was quite a high risk one but it was a great one. The other was an item which would be quite useful to him in the future.

It was actually a great surprise to him that he was able to get skills and items for completing the Levels but it was quite a nice surprise.

Like this, he was just getting more and more stronger.

He moved towards the masked guy thinking of his new powers and items. The masked guy smiled under his mask seeing Alex approach and made a graceful bow.

"Welcome Challenger."

"Who are you and what's this Level? How can I pass it?" He asked, not wasting time in introductions.

"I'm the Riddler, master of riddles and like the Tower would have already notified you, the only way to pass this level is to answer my riddles." He said, then curled his lips up. "If you fail to answer it, your challenge will end here."

"I won't be able to go past this Level?"

"Yeah, the only other way is to do the challenge again but it's common sense to know that one person can only challenge it once in his or her life."

Alex didn't know if it was really common sense or not but he absently nodded his head.

The challenge began next and the Riddler started asking his riddles in a cheerful manner, like he was enjoying every moment of it.

* * *

"So, Tony Stark offered you an 'internship'?"

"Yes, I'm going to be working in the Stark Tower after it's finished!"

"Is this just an internship or you know, some superhero stuff too?"

Alex asked as he looked at Peter who had just finished telling him about how Tony Stark had come to meet him and offered him a chance to work together with him.

Peter still looked excited and a beaming smile was on his face.

'Things went at a rapid pace while I was in the tower.'

Alex thought inwardly.

He has solved two of the riddles that the Riddler gave him but before he could give out the next one, Alex left the Tower because he was just too tired.

After coming back to earth from the portal, he discovered that Peter had sent him over fifty messages.

Wondering what had happened, Alex asked him to meet him in a cafe.

"Obviously, superhero stuff is included. That's the main internship. Although Mr. Stark told me that he would give me a tour of the labs later." Peter whispered to him.

"That's nice."

Alex said with a wry smile.

Originally, it was only in Civil War that Tony found out about Peter and recruited him. Going forward, they had a mentor-student relationship and it was almost like Tony was Peter's father.

But in this universe, this has started even before the Avengers events. It was actually normal as Peter was already a teenager and had become Spiderman.

Alex was interested to know how things would go in this universe from here on.

"Where were you? I was calling you and messaging you but there was no reply for a long time."

Peter asked, drinking his cappuccino.

"Well, I was just… busy. You know things."

"Those types of things?"

"Kind of. I'm trying to get stronger these days."

Peter raised his eyebrow hearing that. In his eyes, Alex was already quite strong and he had seen it quite well during the fight with the Lizard.

"How much stronger are you going to get? You are already quite strong. I still don't understand where your powers come from. Science doesn't believe in wolves living in souls you know."

"I don't care if science believes. There's more than science. I'm the proof."

Peter meekly nodded his head at that. He was a science student but he was really interested in the mystical wolf and powers Alex has.

If he could, he would even like to do a bit of research on it.

Boom!

As they were talking, a loud noise suddenly sounded out from their surroundings.

Both Peter and Alex were surprised but they quickly calmed down and tried to understand what was going on.

"Thief! There's a thief! Someone help!"

"I'll handle it."

Alex said and rushed out of the cafe, leaving Peter alone to pay the bills.

Peter didn't try to follow Alex as he knew that he would be more than enough for a thief but he cursed thinking he needed to pay the bills now.
