56 Chapter 055 Murakami

Chapter 055

"We are dealing with a guy named Nobu Yoshioka. Two things to know about him is that he's an asshole and he works for Murakami."

Stick explained, in-between a chuckle as he eyed both Alex and Matt.

"Murakami?" Alex asked as he felt the name was familiar. Just he wasn't able to remember where he had heard it.

"He's one of the five fingers of the Hand and the most secretive. I have been following these Japanese for months but all I got to know was that Nobu handles Murakami's activities." He stopped for a second before eyeing Matt. "Especially the dealings with the man known as Kingpin."

As Stick said that, Alex remembered about Murakami. He handled the Japanese faction of the Hand and was known for controlling things from the shadows.

Due to his nature, there was hardly anything known about him.

"So, we are dealing with the Yakuza?" Matt asked.

"More dangerous than that."

"So, this Nobu guy is transporting a weapon called Black Sky to New York. For what exactly?"

Alex asked, getting more interested in what The Hand was trying to do. If Nobu really handled deals with Kingpin, then probably he was involved too.

And it was at least not something on a small scale going by the way Stick was talking.

"Many things but the obvious reason is you two." Stick glanced at both him and Matt. "The Hand are scared that you two will interfere in their plans and seeing you two, more stupid people will come out trying to fight them."

"I don't think we are the only reason?"

"Yeah, you are not. You two are just the people they will go after first. The city's just giving more and more surprises these days and the Hand needs weapons in case Iron man or Shield go after them."

Alex cocked his head at that, surprised that Stick knew about the existence of Shield.

"You know of Shield?" He asked, curious as to how he knew about it.

"I know many things. Shield, Aliens and even people who are born with powers never seen before. Sadly, you are not any of them, kid and that's why, I'm so curious about you."

Stick examined Alex with a serious gaze. For a second, he thought Stick was gonna attack him but Matt interjected before that as he began to ask.

"Let's get back to the topic. What is this Black Sky?"

Alex was also curious about it. He had heard a lot about how Black Sky was really dangerous but he had no clue what it was.

'Maybe a gun? No, The Hand was more of an ancient organisation. It was probably some kind of weird sword. Maybe a sentient weapon.'

Alex thought in his mind as he waited for an answer.

But Stick just shook his head.

"I can't tell you currently. You will know when you see it. For now, we need to deal with Nobu's man on the dock and prepare to destroy the Black Sky. Otherwise trust me, the whole city will be destroyed."

"You are keeping things from me again, Stick." Matt growled as he clenched his fist.

"Sigh, Matty, we can deal with our personal problems later. For now, help me deal with Nobu and Black Sky."

He said and then glanced at Alex who was calmly listening to the conversation. Patting him on his shoulder, Stick continued.

"There will be a lot of men there tonight, so we will need you and your wolf. After we are done, I will teach you a stuff or two about being a warrior."

Alex was just about to reply to his offer when Matt slammed the table.

"Leave him, Stick."

"I'm just teaching this kid here, so he doesn't die in the future. I taught you, remember."

"Yeah and then you left me."

"It was for the better, Matty. You achieved a lot but you have also gone a lot soft." Stick replied, shaking his head.

As the two bantered, Alex just sighed and kept to himself. He didn't have any plans to get in-between the two of them.

He just hoped they wouldn't start fighting like this in the middle of a battle.

It was midnight when Alex, Matt and Stick reached the dock. The wind was blowing hard and both Matt and Alex were in their costumes, looking down on the activities going on in the docks.

"You two really have a weird sense of fashion." He remarked, glancing at them.

"Need to hide my identity." Alex replied.

"In my days, warriors just used to kill everyone, so there are no witnesses left."

Alex ignored that comment and looked towards the dock where Nobu and a lot of Japanese men were transporting a big container from a cargo ship.

There was a 'Asano Robotics' symbol on the container written in Japanese and they slowly moved it through the air.

He focused and saw that almost every one of the men were holding guns and going by his gut feeling, they weren't weak.

"How many are there?" Stick asked as he looked at Matt.

Matt focused his hearing on all the heartbeats on the dock and tried to mark out each of them. Then, he opened his mouth.

"I can hear 27 heartbeats. And one stronger, different one."

"That must be Nobu." Alex said and Stick nodded his head.

Then, he looked at the container they were moving and Alex saw his ears twitch for a moment. He had no idea how a blind man could function so effortlessly.

He had thought that Matt was the only one but Stick proved him wrong.

"That container holds the Black Sky. You two go and try to lower their numbers but do it while being quiet. I will try to do the same."

Alex nodded his head and Matt hesitated before saying.

"Remember, Stick. You can't kill!"

"I remember it. Now, go!"

With that, their mission began and Alex had a bad premonition that his life was not gonna be the same after tonight.
