35 Chapter 35 - Introducing Prime

It was pretty obvious that everyone was curious to find out what Sara's power was. Moreover, even Xavier, being the person who identified Sara, couldn't determine for sure what her power level was. Just as it could be an epsilon-level power, it could also be a power with omega-level potential.

Sara, on the other hand, was engaged in an internal conversation with Prime, as she honestly wasn't expecting the demonstrations to reach the point where she would have to reveal her power. After all, as soon as she did, everyone would undoubtedly discover her true identity.

After all, unless you live completely disconnected from the internet or television, it's impossible not to have seen the rumors circulating online or in the news about the red and white monster that appeared at the university.

Upon hearing Sara's question, Prime seriously pondered the issue. Anyway, sooner or later, they would have to find out, so it was better to show it now rather than later. After releasing a small sigh, Sara directed her gaze upwards, specifically at the faces of the teenagers eagerly awaiting. In view of this, she decided to proceed with Prime's plan. Anyway, if something went wrong, it would all be his fault.

With that in mind, Sara raised her arm under everyone's watchful eyes. Soon after, a viscous red slime began to climb up her arm, quickly transforming the entire length into a red limb equipped with sharp claws.

"Wow... that looks amazing, not to mention powerful... but I have the feeling I've seen something like this before"

Everyone seemed to share Kurt's same reaction and doubt. In response to this, Sara promptly answered in accordance with Prime's words.

"It wouldn't be surprising, after all, I attracted quite a bit of attention when I fought at the college"

As soon as Sara said this, everyone quickly connected the dots and, in the blink of an eye, realized what her identity was, or more precisely, what the nature of her combat-mode power was.

"Was that you?"

Upon hearing Jean's question, Sara simply nodded, as if it were a trivial matter.

This news was enough to shock everyone inside the ship. Everyone there had witnessed the power of the creature that suddenly appeared at the college and disappeared shortly after. However, there was something that didn't align with what Sara was saying, something fundamental that some who saw the video noticed.

"But... that creature didn't seem like you. I'm not talking about the appearance, but the personality"

Upon hearing these words, Sara was surprised that they had actually addressed something that Prime anticipated they would. In a sense, the conversation was being directed towards this topic, which was exactly the point Prime wanted to reach. With this thought, Sara continued.

"I'm surprised you noticed"

Sara responded to Scott's words. Hearing this, everyone inside the jet became even more confused about what Sara had said.

"What do you mean by that, daughter?"

Although Sara found Xavier's way of addressing her strange, she still ignored it and replied calmly.

"It's exactly what I meant... Well, I think it would be better to show, Prime"

While uttering these words, four red tentacles emerged from Sara's back and slowly began to come together, forming a face. More precisely, the same face they had seen on television. Needless to say, everyone watched this scene with evident astonishment on their faces.

"This is Prime... I guess you could say he's the other part that controls my powers" 

Sara said. As she said this, everyone watched closely the face staring at them. Of course, although Prime could speak in this form, he found it best to maintain the status quo; in other words, only Sara could hear his voice.

"Moreover, he said it's a pleasure to meet you" 

Sara continued. Upon hearing Sara's words, everyone became even more confused about the situation. Kurt, showing uncertainty, asked. 

"Can't he speak?"

As soon as he said that, Prime turned towards Kurt, who jumped in surprise. Prime then opened his mouth full of teeth.

"Roaaaaaar!"

A loud and frightening roar echoed from Prime's mouth, leaving everyone surprised and scared. Shortly after, Prime closed his mouth and then retracted, returning inside Sara's body.

"Are you sure this is safe?" 

Kitty asked. Upon hearing Kitty's question, Sara paused, as if pondering the matter for a few seconds, but quickly shrugged.

"I mean, I was scared at first, but, actually, Prime is a nice guy. He cares about me, protects me, and besides, he dies if I die, so basically, we live in partnership with each other"

After these words, everyone looked surprised at Sara once again. Needless to say, it was the first time they had witnessed a mutant case like this. Even for Xavier, it was the first time he had seen a mutant with powers that had their own consciousness. While everyone had their own internal thoughts, Kurt's question echoed.

"But after all... is this creature a man or a woman?"

Upon hearing these words, Sara gave Kurt a disdainful look, and the same could be said for the other crew members.

"What's the matter? Are you going to tell me you're not curious too?"
