22 Chapter 22 - Prime Vs Hulk [2]

The monster tried to hit him with one of the metal shields from above, so Prime took a step back, creating an opportunity for an attack. The monster had wedged the shield into the ground and showed no signs of letting go. Prime advanced against the monster, several tentacles emerging from his back and clustering around his arm.

The green monster, still trying to free the shield from the ground, was caught off guard by Prime's punch, sending it flying towards the military personnel. Prime didn't stop his attack and, using his tentacles, grabbed the monster's leg, hurling it again towards a tree.

"We'd probably be in bed if we'd been hit like that"

Prime commented, hoping the same would happen to the monster. Contrary to his thoughts, the creature got up as if nothing had happened. After shaking its head briefly, it cast a hateful glance at Prime and then began to sprint towards him at an incredible speed.

"Looks like you just made him angrier"

The voice, now a bit more feminine, echoed with concern. Of course, Sara didn't need to warn Prime about what he had done, as he could see it happening before his eyes, with a green monster running towards him.

Just before reaching Prime, the green monster leaped dozens of meters into the air. Then, it started to fall towards Prime, hands raised, indicating a full-force attack. Unfortunately, Prime wouldn't be able to dodge; the monster was coming too fast for that.

Instead of dodging, Prime gathered several tentacles in front of him, forming a defensive barrier, or at least something that would act similarly.

However, this was not enough to contain the monster's attack. As soon as Prime felt the impact of the blow on his tentacles, he was thrown back by overwhelming force. Landing on the ground, Prime shook his head and turned his gaze to the monster, running towards him once again.

"God, he just won't stop"

Prime observed the scene with displeasure, and as he stood up again, he noticed cars approaching quickly. Turning around, he saw two vehicles carrying devices that resembled giant headphones.

His attention was again diverted by the green monster, preparing to launch another attack on Prime. However, before that happened, a sonic attack was directed at the area where Prime and the monster were.

This event reminded Prime of his dormant cells, which had a vulnerability to sound. If, by chance, these cells were activated at that moment, Prime would certainly not be able to recover.

Fortunately, this did not happen. With the dormant cells, Prime only experienced conventional pain when facing the sonic attack. To say it was common pain would be underestimating what he was feeling; all his senses were amplified to the maximum, including hearing, which was exceptionally sensitive.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

Although the scream seemed to come from Prime, it was not actually him who was screaming. The voice, now more feminine, emanated from Sara.

"Sara!"

Worried, Prime called his friend's name, but all he heard were her screams. An incredible rage burned inside Prime. How dared these mere humans do this to her? How could they even think they could hurt her?.

In a moment of anger, thousands of tentacles shot out from Prime, advancing quickly towards the two cars. The soldiers, realizing the imminent danger, jumped away from the vehicles. The tentacles enveloped the cars and destroyed them brutally and ruthlessly.

A horrifying scene unfolded before everyone, with a monster covered in tens of thousands of tentacles letting out a terrifying and fearful scream, echoing in the ears of those present at the scene.

"Are you okay, Sara?"

Prime asked with concern in his voice, though he was in pain from the sonic attack, Sara seemed to be suffering even more.

"... I think... I'm okay"

Amidst heavy breaths, Sara replied. As this exchange unfolded between them, Prime heard the sounds of gunfire again. Looking at the green monster, Prime noticed a soldier approaching him, seeming to say something. The monster and the man stood inches apart.

"Is that all?"

The man said, removing an earpiece from his ear.

"Is that all you got?"

Although Prime found the situation strange, given that the usual would be for the man to run in fear, he was even more surprised when the green monster kicked the man, sending him flying several meters until he stopped after hitting a tree.

"... do you think he's alive?"

Hearing Sara's question, Prime responded with his own question.

"Do you think a human could twist like that and still be alive?"

Prime said, watching the man who showed no signs of moving. However, the exchange between Prime and Sara was interrupted when the noise of a helicopter began to echo through the area. Simultaneously, Prime noticed a woman approaching the green monster.

Prime quickly identified Dr. Elizabeth Ross, recognizing her from the photo next to Dr. Bruce Banner in the newspaper. However, the moment was abruptly interrupted by the thunderous shots that rang out when the helicopter opened fire on the green monster.

Without hesitation, the monster launched in front of Dr. Elizabeth, protecting her from the shots. Watching this, Prime didn't stand still. With a long and agile leap, he reached the helicopter cabin, removed the pilot and co-pilot, and then destroyed the propellers, causing the aircraft to crash to the ground.

Amidst the flames, Prime witnessed the green monster holding Dr. Elizabeth before exchanging glances for a few seconds. Soon after, the green monster disappeared into the flames, leaving no traces. Prime did the same, and upon returning to the college, vanished from sight, leaving only a girl with white hair and blue eyes walking in the crowd.

Anyway, Prime had somehow achieved his goal. Now, he just needed to wait for things to calm down before getting in touch with Dr. Bruce Banner again. In addition to learning more about himself, Prime was intrigued by the man's transformation into that green monster and eagerly wanted to understand more about it.
