10 10. New Skill!

Adam was sitting on his bed, his palms locked and resting on his legs. His chest heaved up and down rhythmically, each breath he took in was calm and steady.

Completing his daily chakra training Adam called out his status.

Adam had come far in these eight years. From a nobody to a Jounin, his days were spent training, trying to exceed his limits every day. After eight years of arduous training he finally reached a point where he doesn't have to worry about his family's safety.

Satisfied with his stats Adam excitedly opened the Skills list.

Finally, I can get that skill!

His eyes skipped past dozens of jutsus and finally settled on one. Adam's eyes showed a feverish excitement. He immediately selected the Skill and a detailed description of it appeared before him.

[True Inner Gates (900 RP)]

>Human body has limits. True Inner Gates breaks open those limiters, refining and strengthening organs, blood, bones and muscles. The inner gates are Gate of Opening... Gate of Closing... Gate of Life... Gate of Rest... Gate of Pain... Gate of Joy... Gate of Shock... Gate of Vitality... Gate of Origin.

The description was simple but a lot could be understood from it. In Naruto, Might Gai was able to battle Six Paths Madara and nearly kill him. The horror of this skill was evident from this fact alone.

However, True Inner seems similar but without the conclusion of death after opening the last gate. Adam was shocked when he first saw this skill, he was even more shocked when he saw the required RP for it.

But thinking logically such a skill should require atleast that much otherwise it's an insult to it.

Adam saved every point he could for the past eight years for this moment. Ninjas only had one drawback, their bodies weren't strong enough, sure they have high regenerative abilities but their defence was weak.

The only people who had monstrous physiques were Gai and Lee. But even their bodies were burdened by the Inner Gates skill. Adam didn't want to become strong only to be killed by a fruit knife.

Without hesitation he made his choice, huge amounts of information flowed out deep from his body and rushed into his mind.

Loads of information about the human body was imprinted into his brain. Adam sat in meditation and sorted through it. After an hour he was finished.

It's time.

His hands went through a series of hand signs. His chakra churned and plunged into the first gate, Gate of Opening.

Boom!

A loud explosion went off inside his mind. Adam's body shook, within his head the first Gate was opened. A star shone in that gate as chakra flooded throughout his body.

I can still go on!

His body slightly ached but it was bearable. He continued.

The chakra from the first gate flooded into the next one, Gate of Closing. It banged into it, slowly the gate slid open. Chakra gushed into the gap and fully blasted it open.

Argh!

Adam groaned. His skin was red as an apple, his body was sweating profusely. Some black substance also came out along with the blood.

The two gates were now fully open, two stars slowly revolved inside letting out faint wisps of chakra. Adam could feel his body being infused with this new found chakra.

Adam felt the load on his body lighten with time. He sat in meditation and calmed his body and breath. The stars within the gate picked up pace and revolved even faster.

An hour later the red tone on his skin faded. A cooling sensation spread throughout his body, Adam felt comfortable. He felt his vision clear up. Chakra flowed through every cell in his body, refining them, invigorating them, strengthening them.

A satisfied smile emerged on his face. For this day he had to work hard for eight years. Apart from that first kill he wasn't lucky later, he only got some spare points. He even had to lie to his parents and his friends to go to other places to hunt.

Eight long years of hard work has finally paid off. He once again checked his Status.

Good! Every stat went up, this isn't limit. Once I get used to this power I should reach Kage level. My chakra control also went down a notch.

Adam didn't go out today and went straight to bed. He had a long comfortable sleep. The next day he woke up cheerfully and full of smiles.

He felt his body stronger than before and he felt healthier. He ate more than he usually did, Georgia was happy her son was eating well and placed even more food onto his plate.

My appetite went up.

He thought to himself.

Finishing his meal he rushed off to school, final exams were coming which means all four of them had very few days of their Highschool life remaining.

Adam quickly reached Midtown High and found his gang waiting for him. He also saw a well suited man standing next to Harry and the others.

"Good morning Uncle Norman!"

This man was Harry's father and the future Green Goblin, Norman Osborn.

Norman smiled and patted Adam's shoulder.

"Looking good Adam. I am glad Harry has a friend like you! Sure I can't convince you to join our company?"

Adam smiled and replied.

"Uncle you know my plans."

Norman laughed and changed the subject.

"Anyway Peter is going to be joining us for a short internship."

Adam wasn't surprised. Peter was way too good at genetics and with Harry being his best buddy its obvious he would help him.

All of them chatted for some time before leaving.

"See you later Uncle Norman."

"Have a good day."

The trio went inside and met up with Elle. She was sitting outside reading a book. Harry coughed and dragged away Peter, Adam showed an embarrassed smile and greeted Elle.

"Morning Elle."

Elle looked up and saw Adam's face, she couldn't help but remember yesterday and felt a bit embarrassed.

"Let's go. Class is about to start."

"Ok."

She closed her book and walked towards the classroom. Walking beside him she felt her embarrassment from earlier fade away, a serene sense of tranquility covered her heart.

Sneaking a look at Adam she whispered in her heart.

I hope this lasts forever.
