5 Fifth Chapter

Skye once again looked at the glowing Obelisk to confirm that her destination was just straight ahead of her. Which means that the only thing she needed to do was walk in a straight line, this made Skye sigh in relief that she wouldn't need to cross some confusing tunnels.

Skye made sure to leave some markers on the ground, just in case she would get lost when she needed to head back later on.

She would also take a rest every now and then to eat some snacks and replenish her energy.

Due to Skye forgetting about her watch, she didn't know that it was already 8 o'clock in the evening. Which means that she had already spent almost 9 hours in this place.

Skye was quite relieved when she found out that gripping the Obelisk would restore a small portion of her physical strength. Although it was not much, every ounce of energy was important in traversing this dark structure.

Despite not hearing any strange noises, Skye still made sure that her pistol was ready whenever she needed it.

It was already nearing 12 midnight when Skye decided to take a long rest.

She sat on the ground and leaned on the wall behind her, Skye put the Obelisk between her thighs and eventually fell asleep with her backpack covering her breasts.

Even if the air was cold and the ground was uncomfortable, the darkness that surrounded the area seemed to have helped Skye fall asleep quickly.

During Skye's short nap, she dreamt of getting punch by Thanos to the ground and ending up becoming a puddle of blood.

Skye was momentarily shocked when she saw somekind of dark fluid below the Obelisk that was near her thighs.

This caused her to feel something. "Shit!" It seems that Skye remembered what a female body had to go through during its teenage years.

Skye's face showed a rare flushed look when she cleaned up and changed her napkin.

Unable to sleep anymore, Skye proceeded to walk towards the set location.

After walking for a few hours, Skye finally reached it. "About time!" She complained.

Skye looked at the large chamber with 6 tall gates which formed a ring that surrounded a meter high stone platform at the center. The refracted light coming from God knows where helped her see most of the structures there.

Skye started to carefully observe the stone chamber before nodding her head in confirmation.

Skye moved towards the platform and placed the Obelisk on it before backing away slowly.

The 6 tall stone gates started to move and form a circular wall caging her and the Obelisk within.

The Obelisk on the platform started to shine and rotate infront of the excited Skye.

The whole process took almost 5 minutes before entering the final stage

The Obelisk started to merge with the light being projected from above. The smooth steel surface of the Obelisk started to peel off and reveal a bright light blue crystal within it.

The bright crystal within the Obelisk started to sprout many glowing branches and it also produced more light blue crystals in just everal seconds.

"Wow....." Skye watched the whole thing happen in awe. She noticed the light blue cluster of crystals shine even brighter, this caused her to stare at it in amazement.

(T/n:It was very hard to understand the whole explaining process in the raws so I just tried to do my best in showing what was happening)

After a few moments of silence, the stone platform stopped turning and the bright crystals started to dim down a bit. Despite all that happened, there was no abnormality in Skye's surroundings.

Perhaps Skye was too drawn to the light display that she asked. "That's it?"

She took a step forward and approached the platform.
-
The sudden lose of light in the room suprised Skye momentarily. Then the crystal let out somekind of gas that covered her surroundings, this led to Skye covering her nose due to the strange smell the gas had.

Just as Skye was about to back away from the platform, she felt her a body become a little numb. Skye looked down and saw her body start to petrify, this shocked her greatly.

"Is this really part of the drill?" Skye asked with fear in her voice. However, she calmed down a little after convincing herself that this was all part of the ritual...maybe?

Skye's body started to petrify even faster and finally her body turned into a stone statue.

It seems that Skye was right. The ritual did not stop and the mist that was being released by the crystal started to seep into the statue of Skye.

It took a while before the crystal ran out of energy and the mist started to fade away.

There was a moment of silence before....

Thump!... Thump!

The faint sound of heartbeats could be heard coming from the humanoid statue.

Crack!... Crack!

The stone statue began to crumble. After a few cracking sounds were heard, the stone peeling that covered Skye's fingers started coming off.

Crack!..... Crack!.... Crack!

A few more cracking sounds were heard and the stone covering Skye's body started to crumble, revealing her complete body covered in dust.

Skye felt that her body and senses were even stronger than before. However, she couldn't quite tell how strong she was yet.
-
"Hah!!" With a short loud yell, Skye's body released a torrent of energy that produced a thunderous sound while cracking the ground below her and blowing away all the dust on her clothes.
