51 Chapter 50: Eloise's Visions

Knocking on the door, I waited a few seconds, and the door opened with Eloise peeking her head outside the door; when our eyes met, she seemed slightly surprised.

"You're not Rogue." Muttered Eloise softly as she looked at Pharaoh, who nodded.

"I'm not, and I hope I'm not; anyways, I'm here regarding what you said earlier. That I'm apparently going to die while protecting my Mom; mind elaborating on it if possible?" Asked Pharaoh with a shake of his head before stepping forward, his voice turning rather solemn.

When I asked that, she just stared at me for several seconds and didn't utter a single word, which started freaking me out a little bit, since I felt like her eyes were seeing right through me, similar to how my eyes work. However, after a few more seconds, she retracted her head and closed the door, followed by what sounded like several locks, before fully opening the door into her dark dimension.

Looking around, making sure Rogue or Jean wasn't following, I entered her room; looking around, I noticed she had many drawings of random things. Most of her drawings consisted of people dying or terrible things happening; I even saw an Image of this dude sitting on a throne with a cool-looking gauntlet that had six weird glowing stones embedded into it, though it was hard to tell that the stones were glowing since it was drawn all in pencil.

"Damn, it's the Crimson chin." Muttered Pharaoh in amusement as he looked at the drawing before suddenly jumping when he heard Eloise's voice coming from right behind him.

"What would you like to know, Blacksteel?" Asked Eloise quietly as she sat down in her seat and continued drawing, unconcerned with Pharoah's presence.

'My goodness, what is up with her? I've never been so freaked out before.' Thought Pharaoh as he grabbed his chest, his heart beating rapidly.

Once I calmed down, I sat on Eloise's bed, which was right next to her table, and glanced at what she was drawing, though given the atmosphere of her room, the image I saw was quite ironic.

'Hmm, a Phoenix, though it looks quite pissed, or maybe that's just how it always looks?' Mused Pharaoh curiously as he observed Eloise's drawings.

"So, yeah, regarding my death, are there any more details you can give me? You know, so I could possibly survive, as I'm not really keen on dying." Asked Pharaoh as he looked at Eloise, who glanced at him despite continuing to draw.

"Whenever I sleep, I'll see visions, terrible visions; when they first appeared, I thought they were merely nightmares, but when my dog was killed, I realized my dreams weren't nightmares, but instead, visions of the future. I can't control my ability; I've tried; it just happens, and what I see is not up for me to decide; the things I see can happen the next day or years from now." Stated Eloise as she explained her mutant ability to Pharaoh, who was intently listening.

"Last night, I saw a vision of you, Blacksteel, fighting against a humanoid monster, a fight that would've decided the fate of the Earth. After a vicious fight, you defeated the humanoid monster, but you were killed by an arrow penetrating her heart as you protected your Mother." Added Eloise seriously as she looked at Black steel, a slight tear emerging from her eye.

"Well, on the bright side, at least I defeated the monster, but an arrow penetrating my heart? I find that rather hard to believe; how could an arrow hurt me? Bullets don't do anything to me, yet you're saying an arrow kills me? If I'm going to die, can't I at least die in a badass way? Like fighting a dragon or something, that would be a cool way to go out." Remarked Pharaoh skeptically with a frown, annoyed at his pathetic death.

"If it helps, the arrow had a glowing green tip." Said Eloise, her sudden words causing Pharaoh to freeze before nodding.

"Yeah, never mind, that'll do the job. Fucking kryptonite." Muttered Pharaoh with a slight frown while rubbing his head.

"Okay, well, at least I've got a better idea of what killed me; maybe if I wasn't so injured after that battle with the monster, I might've survived. Speaking of that monster, what did it look like? Have you drawn in yet?" Asked Pharaoh with a sigh as he shook his head and looked back up at Eloise, who seemed surprised by his words.

"Drawn it?" Remarked Eloise lightly as she titled her head.

"Yeah, I mean, aren't these drawings of things you've foreseen in your vision? Crimson Chin over there was looking rather menacing, if I do say so myself, not to mention the Phoenix you're currently drawing doesn't seem to be that friendly." Replied Pharaoh with a nod as he leaned on Eloise's desk, prompting her to give him a blank look, which he thoroughly ignored.

"No, I haven't drawn the monster you were fighting, though it was a muscular humanoid monster that boasted similar powers to yours and had crystals jutting out from parts of its body." Stated Eloise with a shake of her head as she set her pencil down, finishing her drawing of the dark Phoenix.

'Similar powers to me, and had crystals on its body? I really hope I'm mistaken.' Mused Pharaoh with an ugly expression as he stood up and unceremoniously moved Eloise out of the way.

Grabbing two pencils as I was ambidextrous, I used both hands to draw the monster I envisioned while Eloise silently sat beside me, watching me. Roughly ten or so minutes later, I dropped the pencils and showed Eloise the drawing, and after looking at it for a few seconds, she nodded.

"Yes, I don't know how you knew, but that is somewhat similar to the creature you were fighting in my vision, Blacksteel." Replied Eloise with a slight nod as she stood up and stuck it to the wall right above her desk, while Pharaoh just stared blankly at it.

'Doomsday. Fuck me, out of all the enemies I'm getting, it had to be him. Well, I could have more enemies I don't know about; I don't remember everything, but at least I know one of my enemies, and potentially the most dangerous one as well.' Thought Pharaoh with a frown as he grabbed his head, sighing in frustration and exhaustion.

I don't remember much from my past life, so there are probably a lot of enemies of Superman I forgot about, but what I do know is Doomsday was the enemy I was the most frightened of every time he appeared on the screen. If I'm not mistaken, he's one of the few enemies who can kill Superman without relying on anything else other than himself, which has always terrified me. I remember Brainiac, another enemy of Superman, and while he's difficult to deal with, he isn't much of a threat, at least not in the same way as Doomsday.

'Haa, well, this is better than nothing; at least I know who my enemy is, so I can prepare; not like I can do much in that regard.' Mused Pharaoh with a shake of his head as he prepared to leave, only to freeze when he noticed a specific drawing.

"Yo, who is this hottie? She bad as fuck, god damn!" Said Pharaoh in shock as he held the paper in his hand, eyeing the woman sitting on a throne of bones while wearing a helmet with antlers sticking out the side of her head.

"She is Hela Odinson, the first child of Odin." Said Eloise as she turned and glanced at the paper in Pharaoh's hand, her words causing his eyes to widen.

"Odin? Do you mean the god of Viking people? If you've drawn a picture, that means they exist, so you're telling me gods actually exist?" Questioned Pharaoh in disbelief as he looked at the paper in his hands before looking at Eloise, who nodded.

'Eh, actually, now that I think about it, it's not that surprising, shocking, yes, but not that surprising. After all, there are apparently dimensional and celestial beings roaming the universe, or multiverse, whatever it is.' Pondered Pharaoh as he calmed down and looked at Hela, who seemed to stare right into his soul despite it merely being a drawing.

"Shit, if she looks like this, I'm about to start praying. Can I keep this drawing?" Added Pharaoh with a slight smirk before looking at Eloise, who gave him a blank stare at his words.

"Go ahead, I suppose even if you are Blacksteel, you're still a boy." Replied Eloise softly as she grabbed another paper and began drawing.

"Thanks, owe you one, or actually two. Anyways, thanks for everything; I'll try not to die, but no promises; if you ever need anything, Eloise, just say my name, and I'll hear you." Stated Pharaoh with a grateful smile as he stored the drawing in his pocket before opening the door and leaving.

Leaving Eloise's room, I was about to go and find Jean, but that was unnecessary since she was standing right outside the door and looking at me with a suspicious frown.

"You don't know Eloise, huh?" Remarked Jean with a raised eyebrow as she folded her arms and tapped her foot while eyeing Pharaoh.

"Well, I mean, I know her a little bit better now, but today is the first time I've ever met her. Besides, why do you seem so bothered by me knowing someone you don't know?" Replied Pharaoh with a wry smile before slightly shaking his head, his turn to suspiciously eye Jean.

"Because a random girl just kissed you on the cheek, and as your friend, Tut, I need to make sure you're not being taken advantage of; girls can also be mean." Said Jean seriously as she looked at the door behind Pharaoh, who just chuckled.

"I'm not getting taken advantage of; that's definitely not happening; manipulated, now that's not completely off the table, but I highly doubt so." Remarked Pharaoh, causing Jean to huff in annoyance before grabbing his hand and walking away.
