Chapter 198: Might Of Apocalypse

Gazing at his smiling face, I clicked my tongue and flew toward him with Carol following right behind me; there was no reason to continue speaking; he wasn't going to listen, and it would only waste our time. Flying towards Apocalypse, I swiftly neared him and punched him, only for his figure to suddenly be replaced with Kitty's, causing me to nearly kill her if I hadn't been prepared for something like this possibly occurring.

Stopping my fist, which was just a few inches away from touching her, I inwardly sighed in relief while giving her a thumbs-up before quickly turning around and gazing at Apocalypse, who was standing where Kitty previously was, while Beast, Wolverine, and Colussos lunged towards them.

"Watch out, he can swap places with people, so be careful when attacking!" Yelled Pharaoh as he gazed at the three, his words causing both Beast and Colossus to slightly slow down while Wolverine continued to charge ahead, only for Kitty to suddenly take his place.

Feeling a stinging sensation coming from behind me, I looked behind me and saw Wolverine stabbing his claws into my neck; well, he was trying to stab my claws into my neck, but he had only broken past my first layer of skin. His claws, which had been coated in adamantium, are incredibly sharp and are more than capable of harming me, though that's only if they're being wielded by someone decently strong, and while Wolverine was strong compared to your typical human, to me, I saw no difference.

"Mind removing your claws?" Asked Pharaoh with a frown as he reached behind him, grabbing Wolverine's three claws before removing them himself.

"Tough neck muscles." Said Wolverine with a raspy voice as he glanced at Tut before charging back into battle, only for his figure to suddenly be switched with Carol, who accidentally punched Pharaoh in the back of the head.

"Oops, sorry." Said Carol quickly with an apologetic expression as she looked at Tut, who had used the impact of her punch to launch him toward Apocalypse.

'Well, that could've been worse; at least she hit me and not anyone else.' Mused Pharaoh lightly as he speedily flew toward Apocalypse, rubbing the back of his neck before shaking his head and eyeing Apocalypse.

Blasting my heat vision at Apocalypse, hoping to catch him by surprise since he was dealing with multiple opponents, but I supposed I shouldn't have underestimated him since he suddenly swapped places with Wolverine, who quickly raised his claws, causing my two beams fo plasma to bounce off his claws, and despite how wild Wolverine looked, he wasn't dumb; so when I saw him tilt his body, I instantly realized what he intended to do. Straining my eyes even further, I pushed harder, nearly causing Wolverine to stumble backward from the sudden spike in strength while he finally diverted my heat vision towards Apocalypse, hitting him in the face and pushing him backward until he swapped places with Kitty, who thankfully was prepared and was already intangible causing my heat vision to shoot right through her.

Quickly stopping my heat vision, I gave Wolerivne a grin, and despite being tempted to yell, "Combo Move" in a Mortal Kombat style, I glanced at Apocalypse, whom both Beast and Gambit were attacking, prompting me to lunge directly at Beast.

'C'mon, 50/50 chance.' Thought Tut as he speedily flew towards Beast while glancing to his left, only to see Carol copying him and flying towards Gambit.

The instant Gambit threw his several glowing cards at Apocalypse, he suddenly switched places with him, causing me to inwardly curse as I watched Carol punch him, yet she had aimed for his armored chest, which was bad since when her fist collided against it, nothing happened, well except for her wincing in pain.

"O-Ow." Said Carol lightly as she tried to quickly back away, only for her to suddenly be slammed to the ground before being thrown into the distance from his telekinesis.

Clicking my tongue, I changed directions and flew towards him, warding off his telekinesis before punching him in the face, forcing him to take a step back while I followed up with an uppercut to his chin, lifting his large body into the air, only to grab his leg and slam him into Colussus, who violently punched him in the face on the way down.

"I suppose that didn't get him?" Asked Colossus in a deep voice as he held his broken, metal arm while glancing at Apocalypse before looking at Pharaoh, who wryly smiled.

"Haa, no." Muttered Tut, just in time for Apocalypse to slam his fist into the ground, causing it to tremble violently and cracks to emerge while intense light shone through them. 

'That can't be good.' Thought Tut as he breathed at Colossus, blasting him with a powerful gust that pushed him to safety while the ground beneath his feet exploded.

Using the force of the explosion to launch me away, I blew the smoke away, only to see Apocalypse was no longer there; swiftly looking around, I quickly found him standing in the middle while all of his looked at him.

"You all were impressive adversaries and have earned my respect for daring to defy a God, but my time is precious, so I shall end this little farce now." Stated Apocalypse lightly as he glanced at everyone, only for a streak of colorful light to fly toward him, though simply with a raise of his hand, Carol was promptly stopped in midair.

With a clench of his fist, all of Carol's limbs were suddenly broken and contorted, turning her limbs into a pretzel, causing her to grunt in paint; angrily gnashing my teeth, I blasted off towards Apocalypse, intending to stop him, yet, I only ended up helping him, as when I got close to him, my position was suddenly swapped with Carol, allowing him to violently punch her in the face, slamming her into the ground while I heard a cracking noise, which was the sound of her spine snapping.

"Carol!" Yelled Tut furiously as he once again lunged towards Apocalypse while blasting him with his heat vision, though he simply raised his hands, absorbing it before redirecting it back to him.

Raising my hand, I caught my own heat vision, burning my palm in the process, though I didn't relent and continued to fly towards him while keeping him preoccupied; once I got close, Bobby came from behind and launched freezing cold blasts of air at him, encasing his legs in ice, which I then used to quickly pick up Carol before retreating.

"Carol, are you okay!?" Exclaimed Tut with concern as he looked down at Carol while holding her in his arms.

"I-I'm alive; I-I just can't feel anything below my neck; p-pretty sure I'm a quadriplegic right now." Replied Carol softly while wincing in pain, her words causing Pharaoh to bite his lip.

"I-I'm sorry." Replied Tut sadly as he landed on the ground, causing Carol to scoff amidst the pain.

"Hmph, f-for what? Y-You didn't d-do this; b-besides, w-we can't have you g-getting all s-sad now, d-defeat A-Apocalypse first." Stated Carol with a faint smirk as she looked up at Tut, who nodded before hardening his gaze once more.

"Yeah, I'll apologize later." Said Tut with a nod as he speedily flew towards where the Blackbird was parked, only to see a large number of rescued people along with shield soldiers.

Doing a quick check upon Carol's body, I discerned despite her terrible injuries, none of them were life-threatening, though they were life-changing, that's for sure. Setting her down, I took a deep breath before releasing a freezing cold gust of wind, covering all of Carol's body except her head in ice.

"This should help, just don't die; I'll be back soon." Stated Tut lightly as he looked down at Carol, who nodded back, prompting him to take to the skies, flying back towards the battle, which was already more or less finished.

Despite only being gone for twenty seconds at most, when I arrived back at the battle, nearly everyone was lying on the floor with various severe injuries; Colossus had one of his arms ripped off, Bobby's head was stuck in the ground while one of his legs were broken, Kitty had a stab wound through her stomach and was bleeding out, Beast had lost his lower jaw, Gambit's bo-staff was stabbed through his stomach, Wolverine was being being retrained with several metal rebars, so he was fine, physically at least; Rogue was the only one who was somewhat okay.

Gritting my teeth in anger, I glared at Apocalypse before lying towards Kitty; she was bleeding out, and I needed to help her quickly, but before I could, I was suddenly slammed onto the ground beside Rugue.

"T-Tut, g-get me close to Apocalypse." Asked Rogue angrily and with venom as she looked at Tut, who stared back at her and frowned.

"R-Rogue, are you sure-?" Asked Tut as he suppressed his anger and thought calmly while standing back up, though he wasn't allowed to finish speaking as Rogue cut him off.

"YES! Get me to him! I'll turn him into a vegetable and make sure he never wakes up!" Yelled Rogue aggressively as she looked up at Tut, causing him to faintly frown before nodding and reaching down, enveloping her in his aura while picking her up.

Although the plan was risky, I did as she asked and lunged toward Apocalypse with Rogue in hand, causing him to morph both of his hands and mouth into futuristic energy cannons, only to blast us with three beams that merged into one massive, powerful beam; turning around, I used my body to take the brunt of the attack, protecting Rogue while we continued to get closer.

Slamming my badly burnt and scorched back into Apocalypse, I dropped Rogue right next to him, prompting her to quickly grasp his head with both of her hands, and while I tried to help pin him down, I was again suddenly blasted away with his mighty telekinesis.

"A weakling that needs the strong to thrive; my empire will not require parasites such as yourself. Only the strong will live while weaklings such as you will die off." Stated Apocalypse with a frown as he tilted his head and looked at the grinning Rogue, whose expression suddenly turned into one of horror as she looked at her arms, which were turning into dust.

"T-Tut." Muttered Rogue fearfully as she raised her head and looked at Tut, who speedily flew towards her, though the instant she took her first step, she fully turned into dust.

N-No!!! I swear to fucking god if Rogue dies as well!! We already lost the sweet, loveable, and amazing Lily; I refuse to allow another person to be killed!!
