Chapter -0003.

He could click on every doodads, from stones to trees to bushes and even critters. Everything gave him some normal common information about it but nothing unique related to this world.

He noticed that in this whole mountain they were alone. Two young children living alone on this mountain. He was not sure what this sect is for but he would get to know in the morning. He clicked on the hut and saw the various options of upgrades.

However, he would need materials. Lots of it. Also the upgrades would be limited to an extent. He would need blueprints to modify or make new structures.

To get blueprints he would need to fight and hunt and wait for RNGesus to drop. Also he needs XP. Tons of it. Without XP he would not be able to craft new gear at all because XP is the power source and the currency of everything runs in his game.

XP is also needed to level to qualify for the next level of gears and blueprints. So he would need to earn XP constantly if he needs to stay on top.

To fix the scarcity of XP farms you can recruit people in exchange licensing your exclusive blueprints. Yes, blueprints are rare and sometimes wasting time farming for them is best to get loaned from someone who already was lucky enough to get a drop.

Blueprint changes the game with unique items with unique power. So keeping balance between farming XP and farming blueprints should be maintained for optimal balance.

He looked around but couldn't see anything else because of the fog of vision limited to God Mode vision. He came back to his normal vision.

He would have to figure out many things in the morning so he lay down again and tried to sleep.

"Wei Feng? Wake up! We have to go." He heard the young boy's voice again but this time he heard the chirping of morning birds too. He is still not used to his new name Wei Feng. He noted his new name down to avoid further confusion today.

He sat up and saw the smiling caring face of the young boy. He quickly tried to remember his name. "Xiao Ming?"

"Yes, I am Xiao Ming. You remembered me." Xiao Ming felt happy to hear his name. "Come, let me show you everything and then you get prepared."

Xiao Ming walked outside and he followed. The bamboo door of their hut was not much of a door but he ignored these things for now.

"I have already filled the buckets with water, just take water from these and fresh yourself up. Okay? Do you know how to do that? Right?" His caring voice was ready to help him.

He looked down and saw his reflection in the big bucket of water. He was fair and had messy hair. However, he was very skinny, somewhat malnourished.

"I can do it." He assured Xiao Ming. Xiao Ming got impressed and left him alone. He used the cold water to wash his face and set his messy hair.

He didn't feel any bowel movement or his stomach never had a good stomach full meal. He cleaned his mouth properly and then looked for water to drink.

"What is it? What are you looking for?" Xiao Ming came back but this time he had a sword in his hand with a plain brown wooden sheath.

"Drinking water." He answered.

"This water is clean, straight from the waterfall. You can drink it. If you don't want to then let's go, there is a very small spring on our way, you can drink water from there." Xiao Ming's voice had a little urgency.

He nodded and followed.

"You came last night. Sect Master Lu was the one who brought you. He didn't say anything so I had no answers for you." Xiao Ming started explaining the situation.

"Sect?" He wondered about this new word.

"Yes, Sect. We are Azure Dragon Sect. I have been in the sect from my age five and now I am 14. We are a simple sect, we spend our days helping everyone that needs our help."

"Sounds like a temple."

"No, not a temple, we do not worship Buddha or any idols." Xiao Ming corrected him.

He didn't argue because he does not care. After following various dirt paths they reached a very small spring. He drank the cool water as demonstrated by Xiao Ming.

He somehow liked the taste of the water. He never felt this much content drinking plain water. A calm energy traversed in his body making him more hopeful for better time.

His stomach got full or else he would have drank more. Seeing him drinking water with such great taste and innocence made Xiao Ming sad.

After traversing various stones and small streams they reached a ruined temple courtyard. A large moss filled stone yard. Various other similar aged children were also present there.

He saw boys and girls of every size in their own small groups. However, just like him there were small toddlers among them with vacant eyes.

He was the only one with bright hopeful eyes. However, when he looked at other older children he saw they were all not looking friendly towards him or more specifically towards Xiao Ming.

He sensed not so favourable attitudes of everyone towards Xiao Ming.

"Xiao Ming! Why are you here?" A grey hair healthy boy came forward with his group. They looked like thugs.

Xiao Ming didn't answer but also didn't get intimidated by them. "You have no shame? If I was you I would have left the Sect instead of disgracing it. A person like you who hasn't reached Foundation Establishment in 9 years is just a waste of resources for the Sect to spend on."

Xiao Ming stayed silent and had no emotion on his face.

"Look at me, I reached Foundation Establishment in a year. Even the most trash talented one has reached in 3 years and you are still here after 9 years. Your presence is disrespecting our struggle for cultivation. Leave before we take action."

Xiao Ming turned to look directly at the grey hair leader of the thug. He raised his sword and gripped it tightly. "Why not you try?" He spoke slowly.

Seeing the blade made them back off. Somehow they were more afraid of the blade than Xiao Ming. Seeing they were helpless they left but cursed under breath.

Is he a badass? Like the hero of his class or school? Wei Feng wondered about Xiao Ming. Seeing his calm and cool demeanour impressed Wei Feng.

Everyone also turned away to look away from Xiao Ming and him. Seeing this Wei Feng understood that Xiao Ming was alone, he was very lonely here, he has no friend who he can trust. Somehow he understood Xiao Ming deeply. A deep loneliness underneath his calm and cool persona.
