6 Chapter 6 - Eropain

Kang Yu-min went blank after Song Ki-tae asked about the Supernova Continent, that he himself didn't know about.

Being an outsider was a perfect disguise to Yu-min and no one would even suspect him due to that reason. That's why he chose to introduce himself as an outsider to every strange he met so far. But right now, that same lie was backfiring at him and he didn't know what to do.

When Yu-min didn't reply to him for a while, Ki-tae got worried and called out to him. "Sir, You there!? Sir…?"

However, the former didn't responded.

In the end, Ki-tae was out of options as he shook Yu-min while grabbing his shoulders, in order to wake him up from his trance. "SIR!!!"

Suddenly, Yu-min came to his senses. "Ah! Where was I?"

"Sir, you haven't said anything for a while. What are you talking about? Are you alright?" he asked with a concerning look on his face.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks for worrying about me." He smiled nervously.

"Sir, then, can you tell me about the Supernova Continent? I'm dying to know about it."

"Uhh… supernova continent, right?"

"Hmm! Hmm!" Ki-tae nodded twice with an excitement in his eyes. "Can people fly in that continent? If yes, how do they fly? What type of creatures can be found there? Does every creature living there has an ability to fly? What are their secrets to become stronger this much? Does their cultivation is different from us?"

All of a sudden, Yu-min was barraged by numerous questions from the young man.

'F**k! What should I tell him? Wait a sec… Why didn't I think about that before?'

Then, something clicked in Yu-min's mind and he spoke.

"Listen carefully, okay? I'm going to tell you about my world right now. Be prepared because what I'm about to tell you is unimaginable and so wondrous that you will be dumbstruck by listening to it. I guarantee you."

Just by hearing those words, Ki-tae was grinning uncontrollably and just nodded in response.

Yu-min then started explaining. "In our world, there are flying creatures which are man-made. They're called as 'Aeroplane'."

"Ohhh!! Eropain.. what a unique name." Ki-tae was amazed just by hearing about it.

"Not Eropain, Aeroplane…" Yu-min tried to correct him.

"I see… Aeroplane. But how they're man-made? Can one can create a creature externally?" Ki-tae had a perplexed expression on his face as he asked.

"They are not living creatures. They are just non-living things like trees or plants that can move with the help of a certain device."

"Oh! I see. So, basically, it is some sort of a vehicle, right?"

"Exactly."

"Sir, please tell me more. I want to know everything about your world." Ki-tae demanded.

Yu-min smiled at him and started explaining about the things that only he knew as he experienced it first-hand, which was the previous life on Earth…

He talked about motorbikes, cars, trains and even ships.

The more Ki-tae heard about such wonderful things, the more he wanted to go and explore the outside world.

"A vehicle that can run on water? Is that even possible, sir?" Ki-tae widened his eyes in surprise.

"I'm telling you the truth. Whether you believe me or not, it's up to you." Yu-min shrugged.

"Oh, okay. But I have a doubt."

"What is it?" he asked.

"If there's a vehicle that can run on water, why did the spirit masters build a teleportation device here? I don't get it. Wouldn't it be easier to travel through water and their spirit stones wouldn't be wasted as well."

Listening to his logic gave Yu-min a headache. 'Why this brat won't give it a rest? Even I wasn't that curious about this world when I woke up in this new body.' He shook his head and replied.

"Young boy, are you going to ask me everything today only? Have patience, I'll tell you about the continent step by step. Moreover, we're talking to each other for so long. Even my legs started to become numb because of it."

"Oh, sorry. My bad. I just couldn't control myself whenever I heard things about the Supernova Continent. Please, follow me. I'll give you a visit to my house and then, we can have a meal together in the dining hall." he said in an apologetic manner.

"Okay."

Afterwards, both of them visited different areas as Ki-tae gave Yu-min a tour to his house and explained various things along the way.

Also, looking at the infrastructure of the house, Yu-min confirmed the fact that every building in this world is made just like the buildings were constructed in ancient times. As for this house, it was made up of wood mostly.

While strolling around, they reached an enclosed area with an empty space in it which looked similar to a hall but it had no windows or anything from where the sunlight would pass. There was only one entrance for the place and nothing else.

"Song Ki-tae, what is this room for?" Yu-min asked out of curiosity.

"This is a cultivation room for disciples to cultivate without any disturbance. Since it is sound proof and no light could pass through it, any member of the Song family could cultivate here without losing any focus."

"Oh, I see. Cool!"

"Sir, please stop pulling my leg. I know that the cultivation rooms in Supernova Continent are much more amazing and spacious than the rooms which we have here. I'd like to see those rooms someday If I get lucky. Haha!"

'Seriously, this boy is a crazy fanatic who won't stop blabbing about supernova continent. I'm just regretting now about why did I accept his invite. He's driving me crazy.' Yu-min sighed inwardly.

To avoid his blabbing, Yu-min interrupted and changed the subject to something else. "You said it is the cultivation room for disciples, right? Why is it empty today?"

"Well, it's lunch time. Therefore, everyone is eating in the dining hall. How about we eat something there and we can also talk about your world."

'Oh, god. Please no.'

"Sure, why not?" Yu-min said while hiding his true feelings.

As they were headed towards the dining hall, Yu-min spoke to Song Ki-tae about something. "Ki-tae, remember when you said that 'only talented people of this city are allowed to go to the Supernova Continent.' Can you tell me how many people went there so far?"

"Oh... that..." Song Ki-tae took a brief pause before responding to his question. "So far, only three people were taken there and that too, at the same time."

Yu-min raised his eyebrows. "Are you saying that... even after five hundred years, there was not a single person who meet their standards in terms of talent? Unbelievable!"

"Yes. According to them, we were too weak and had no potential at all. Up until recently, a few talented people emerged among us and surpassed their expectations. But before that, no one was to their liking. So, right now, those who were chosen by them became the pride of Ruby Kingdom. In addition, there were two people who even awakened a martial spirit which is essential to become a spirit master. At the time when these three youngsters was gonna cross the boundary and reach a new world, citizens of the city including the lord himself were so happy that they even celebrated that day like a festival."

"Oh? Did you say martial spirit?" Yu-min then recalled the screen which popped up before him back then.

"Yes, awakening a martial spirit is rare and difficult. Mostly at the time when the spiritual phase of cultivation comes, cultivators hope that they awaken a martial spirit. But 99% people fail to awaken it. Therefore, spirit masters are considered special and are respected by everyone in the world including Supernova Continent."

Upon hearing his words, Yu-min found himself very lucky as he already know that he has a martial spirit in him that has yet to be awakened.

That's when Yu-min remembered something that he wanted to ask Ki-tae about it.

"Ki-tae, do you have a window screen that shows you, your information and all?"

"Window what? I don't know what you are talking about." He said in a confused tone.

"I mean, like an image of information written in the air? Something like that? Do you see that often in front of you or not?"

"Sorry, sir. But I'm still not sure If I understand your language…"

'Ugh! How can I explain to him that I'm talking about a holographic screen!' he bit his nails in frustration.

Suddenly, Yu-min widened his eyes as something came to his mind.

"Ki-tae, do you remember the artifact hall where we came from?"

"Yeah…" he answered sluggishly.

"Do you know the crystal stone placed on the desk and it shows the image of words written there, which is actually the list of items and their prices?"

"Oh, I know that. It's a luminous stone. It shows the image of the contents written on the stone itself in a light form, which is a bit transparent and the words are brighten up more than the stone itself for some reason. To us, it's like magic."

"I see. So, do you see something similar in front of you without the stone."

"No. Without the stone, it's not possible.

'Looks like I'm the only one who can see the window screen in front of me…' Yu-min thought to himself with a serious look on his face.
