13 Alchemy - Part 2
"Damn, how could I forget that the Dark Frost herb has hallucinogenic properties!?", it seemed as if the herb used to make people hallucinate if taken in large quantities. Even their smell was enough to cause such hallucinations!
"Maybe the cores helped me and protected me from the illusions. Sigh, but it's good that I found the herbs. Now I can finally start doing Alchemy!"
He looked at all the herbs that were waving because of the little wind that was blowing from the above due to a small crack that had been formed.
It seemed that the bare little amount of sunlight that was required by them to grow was also revised from the same crack.
"Oh well, it's good that I found these many. Since they are rare, they will be sold at high price."
After thinking that Ryuu immediately rushed towards them while breathing slowly which will decrease the illusion effects.
He didn't had to do that because he was already being protected by the cores.
Nevertheless he collect a total of 11 from the place and left the remaining thinking about the future.
"Hehe, now I can finally start alchemy... or maybe not!!!"
He didn't have the apparatuses that was needed for alchemy nor did he have enough money to buy one.
All he could do was prepare one pill with the little amount of spiritual fire that he could produce which was no where enough to cure her mother completely!
At least 3 pills were required to subdue the effects and another 5 were required to completely cure the disease!
"Sigh, now this is troublesome... what do I do?", he wanted to treat his mother right now when it was just the initial stages.
He couldn't afford to wait any longer because that would keep on decreasing the chances of survival of his mother.
"Well, I can sell the excess amount of Dark Forest and get some money but that won't be enough to buy a Cauldron because any ordinary cauldron wont be able to withstand the spirit fire that I'm going to use!"
He was tensed right now and wasn't able to find any way out of it.
He just walked out of the cave and kept on walking until he was already at the edge of the forest from where his home was not more than 2 miles away.
"Tsk, what do I do? This village is not that great to even have a proper alchemy association... if only we were at the capital city...", he had been thinking about this all this time and even before he realised he had already exited the forest.
"Hmm, it's not good. Something has to be done...", he didn't want to go home yet and was just wandering in the city while taking a look at various shops which had some to no useful item.
"If only I had something that could extend the amount of my spirit fire even if it's temporary then at least 4 pills could be formed...", was what he was thinking when suddenly he remembered the cores that had already fused with his body.
"Wait a second.. the cores... can I literally borrow strength from them?"
He still didn't know how to exactly use the cores because they were no normal cores that has only a soul and some energy.
"Hmm, it's true that using the other cores too I can extended the life of the spirit flame but... it won't last long. I guess I have to try using the cores..."
When he was thinking about this he remembered something which literally made him break into laughter.
"Hahaha! Hahaha! Am I some stupid? Why didn't I notice this earlier? Hahaha."
The people around him thought that he had finally gone mad and ignored him.
But it seemed that Ryuu has figured out something.
He immeditely dahsed towards the back alley where no one used to come. It was between two houses and had very little space which was usually used by him when they were playing 'hide and seek'.
"Yes... no one should notice here...", he immediately brought forth his right hand and tried to insert some of his Qi from his left hand to his right.
The Qi slowly started flowing which eventually got covered by a red light at first and then later by other coloured lights.
"Hmm... as I thought, the core with fire attribute is in my right hand.", he had totally forgot about the Fire core using which he could literally refine hundreds of pills within a fraction of second.
He wanted to refine the pills as soon as possible and wi bout anyone noticing so he used the [Camoflage Sutra] to immediately erase his presence.
"Okay... is let's start...", just as he was going to start, it suddenly started to rain in which he started to get wet.
"Oh come on! Why the heck did it rain right now?", he immediately ran to take a shelter near a shop which had been closed since ages.
"Hmm, I don't see anyone here. Everyone must have ran towards their home... so no one would notice me."
He started using the Camoflage Sutra again and then immediately extended his right hand and placed it forth.
He started opening herbs one by one and immeditely started making pills.
"Haha, if someone were to see this, they would call this 'Road Side Pill Making Stall', haha!"
He then stopped thinking about jokes and started to concentrate on his right arm and forced the energy from the fire core to come out at a steady pace.
Suddenly there was a deep red flame in his right hand that was burning very brightly. It didn't hurt him at all since it was spirit fire.
He started using one by one all the herbs by adding them into the fire while trying to keep them in air by forming a force field around them which actually made them look like they were meditating.
"Hmm, that's good... a bit more.", it kept raining and he kept on refining at the same time.
It was slowly turning dark again. The rain slowly decreased and finally stopped which marked the end of his refining process too.
"I don't know what to say but... the quality is 5 star for sure!", there were totally 12 pills formed and all of them were of highest quality.
"Haha, I didn't know that it would be this good!", he was laughing and smiling but suddenly weakness covered his body and he fell on one of his knees.
*cough*
He even coughed a bit of blood.
"Tsk, I expected the relapse... but it came too soon.", immediately after saying that he fell unconscious just after placing all the pills inside the pouch.
The moment he fell unconscious a mysterious man came running and stood beside him and kept on staring at him.
He immeditely took the pouch in which he kept the pills and opened it.
"Woah! The pills sure are amazing!", it was a man's voice who immediately after saying this disappeared after which another man came and he too watched all the unused herbs that were left.
