6 Chapter 6: Does death follow me?

"Old man!!" The gold haired kid rushed to the tent, worried for him. He didn't want to lose another person he cared for.

...

Every inch of his body was, in this moment, hoping that what he was thinking was happening wasn't the reality as he ran toward the green tent. The old man didn't reply, he didn't even emit a sound when Mo Fan called him loudly, normally the old man would yell back at him calling the boy a brat and shutting him up, but this time nothing, not a sound came from him, only a creepy screech running around.

There were only two possibilities: the old man was either still hunting animals somewhere else in the forest or that horrendous screech was of a beast which was doing thing that Mo Fan didn't even want to think about to the old man.

The fear of the latest possibility fueled his feets, making his steps faster than they every were, reaching the tent in the blink of an eye. As he moved the curtains of the tent, entering it, the only thing that he could see was blood splat all over the ground, little spider eating something, which wasn't visible to Mo Fan because they completely covered it, leaving only a old and lifeless arm out and the gold haired boy would have recognised that arm even blind: the old man died, eaten by disgusting spiders.

The world really is unfair, a good man like him, who took in a kid without knowing him, died in such a cruelsome and horrendous way.

"Old man!!" Mo Fan yelled, rushing to the old man's corpse despite the little spider on his body. He held it with his hand, on which the spider soon started climbing, and started crying, his tears falling on the old man's lifeless face and the spiders covering it, which quickly escaped due to waterfalls, which were Mo Fan's tears, hitting them.

"Why did you have to die now? Why does everyone i love die? Does death follow me?" Mo Fan said, his tears continuing to fall on the old man's body, soon flooding all of his body, freeing it of all the spiders, finally making his body visible now: it was full of little marks of biting, chunk of flesh missing somewhere and half of the corpse's skin color blue due to the spiders' poison.

"You still had a lot to teach me?" Mo Fan continued to cry as he was holding the old man's corpse, his hands feeling the cold of the lifeless body "Now, who will be there to wake me up in the morning? To forge the weapons for the Black Plum Village? Who? Who?"

"And it's all because of those stupid little spiders!!" Mo Fan's sadness now turned into rage, no, actually even in hatred, the thirst of revenge increasing for each second he held the old man's corpse. The gold haired kid's eyes, now red because he cried a lot, fell onto the spiders, who were ready to assault Mo Fan as soon as the sea that for them was the blonde kid's tears would disappear.

As he looked at the spider with absolute hatred and bloodthirst, he slowly let the old man's corpse go, getting up at the very same pace. Immediately after, he grabbed the torch that was illuminating the tent in the middle of the night and threw it on those spiders, which Mo Fan knew, thanks to him having studied the various species of monsters and beasts, his poison being highly infiammable.

As the torch made contact with one of the spiders, the flame soon expanded all over the group of arachnids, Mo Fan watching them burning intensely, having he completed the revenge for the old man "That's what you get for killing my father, stupid White Spider's cubs!!!"

*Screech*

*Screech*

The spiders emitted noises of pain as they burned down, their bodies slowly becoming charcoal. "Yes, burn, burn! I hope that the flames of the hell will burn your soul even after death for what you did to the old man!" Mo Fan said, the tent slowly catching fire as well, forcing him to exit from it.

Now, Mo Fan was again alone, only the stars in the now dark sky making him company "What am I going to do now? Alone?"

"Old man, i still wasn't able to repay you for everything you've done..." a little tear descended from Mo Fan's blue eye as he continued to speak, looking at the stars.

"Now, how will I tell it to Qing'er? She'll define-" Mo Fan said, the surge of an unknown powerful aura coupled with a loud creepy sound interrupted the gold haired boy's cry.

~THUD~

~THUD~

The hair-raising sounds were now mixed with powerful thuds, together emanating shockwaves so strong that even the ground under Mo Fan's feets started shaking just like an earthquake. The trees started falling one by one as something huge and white was coming towards Mo Fan.

"Wait, how can something so big even exist!?" Mo Fan said, seeing a gigantic sort of white ball coming his direction. It was as big as a fricking mountain!

"Don't tell me that's..." Mo Fan began, turning back to look at the spiders' lifeless bodies, his fear coming true: that thing was the mother of the little spiders, a Yin White Spider, a 6th order monster "I'm fucked!"

Trees continued to fall down as the giant arachnid got closer and closer until nothing divided it from the killer of its children, Mo Fan.

It was huge. Its fangs were as big as a tree and as sharp as the strongest sword under the heaven, nothing being able to escape its bite. His eight eyes were blue like a diamond and its skin's colour was of a white so absolute that if it were to try to camouflage as a snow mountain, one would mistake it for it. Finally, its eight white legs were as long the biggest mountain that Mo Fan ever saw and their tip were sharp, capable of cutting everything in the world up.
