Ch 28: Ambush

There were more than 1 attackers, 10 to be exact, with 4 True Element Realm and 6 Separation and Reunion Realm. All of them were wearing black ninja-like clothes, covered in black garments and masks with only their eyes showing.

"Hmm, the kid has good reflexes." Said one of the True Element Realm attackers. "It doesn't matter. We just have to kill them or capture them alive, if possible." Another True Element Realm attacker said.

"You seem to think that you guys can kill us." Yang feng said with a calm expression on his face, looking at the 10 people in front of him. "Hahahaha, kid you got guts I will give you that, but do you think you can even fight us." The third True Element Realm said while laughing.

Yang feng ignored the comment,"Su Yan, I will take the 4 True Element Realm ones, can you handle the other 6 for a few minutes?" Yang feng asked Su Yan not taking his eyes off the attackers. Su Yan just answered with a light 'ok' and sprung into action.

Yang feng too used his movement technique to it's current limit and near instantly arrived behind the one true element realm person that had attacked him before. The 4 not expecting this, were not able to react and yang feng used his spear technique 'tornado piercing' and used the sharp violent winds to enhance the sharpness of his spear.

The next moment a big hole formed on the body of the said attacker, where his heart should have been. As his body slowly fell on the ground, the other three finally reacted and distanced themselves from Yang feng who was standing behind the corpse of their comrade.

"See, not much difficult to handle." Yang feng said while looking at the one that said he could not even fight with them. The other three were now looking at yang feng with seriousness, they didn't expect the boy to be this fast and strong.

The three looked at each other and simultaneously sprinted towards him, each holding their weapons. The first one held a of dagger, the second held a long sword, the third one was not carrying a weapon and looked like he was someone who fought with fists.

Yang feng looked at them and took a stance that allowed his greater range of attack with his spear held in front of him with both hand. When the three reached near him and raised their weapons and fist at him, he acted swiftly and made four attacks.

With the first one, he intercepted the sword coming towards his shoulder and deflected it. The second and third, he used the handle of his spear to stop the dagger with one hand and used his other hand to use his Overlord Fist technique and striked the same person in the head.

After striking the person with the dagger he slightly changed his posture and used the spear technique he gained from the system, which he had been practicing since he got it, and striked the third attacker in the chest, abdominal, shoulders, arms and neck.

This was the technique the system gave him on breaking through to the True Element Realm. 'The Seven Stars Of The Spear' was a basic spear technique, that allowed the user to control the spear as an extension of one's self and deliver seven strikes with swift persision.

{A-Note: I didn't read the Chronicles of the heavenly demon so only the names of the moves will be same, but the application might be different.}

The result of this was again something unexpressed by all the attackers. The one with the sword had his sword deflected and stuck in the ground. The one with the dagger was laying on the ground with his head bleeding, his status unknown. The body of the third one slowly fell to the ground, riddled with holes. All this happened within 5 seconds.

As this happened, the entire area fell silent. Even the fight between Su Yan and the other 5 remaining Separation and Reunion Realm attacker, as she had successfully killed 1 of the original 6 people, came to an abrupt halt.

All the remaining attackers looked at him in horror as if looking at a monster, a slaughter devil. The one remaining True Element Realm attacker quickly abandoned his sword and rushed towards the woods, trying to flee. The other 5 also rushed behind him in order to flee, because they all knew that they could not deal with that monster.

But Yang feng wasn't going to let them escape after attacking him, so he used his movement technique and with swift and precise attacks killed all of them. Even the true element realm cultivator could not even stop a single attack and died.

After killing them all yang feng came to back towards the cave. He saw Su Yan checking on Chu Ling. "How is he?", yang feng asked arriving next to them.

"Just some bleeding and a few broken bones that can be healed by healing pills and not affect him." She replied as he crouched down and inserted Chu Ling a Mid-heaven grade healing pill into chu lings mouth. She just watched him as he used his Qi to help chu Ling digest the pills effects.

"What are you looking at, don't say you fell for me after the light display." Yang feng said jokingly when he felt her staring at him. Su Yan ignored his remark and asked him," how are you so powerful? I can also fight people with higher cultivation but cannot deal with them in a single attack."

She asked this because among the true element realm attackers, one that he killed first was at the 4th stage, both the one with dagger and the one who used fists were 5th stage and the one with the sword was 7th stage. But Yang feng killed them with such ease as he was killing chickens while only being at 2nd stage true element realm.

Yang feng just smiled and said," well, that is for me to know and you to find out." Su Yan hearing this didn't ask anymore as she knew that she will not get anything out of him.

After Chu Ling's condition was stable and he woke up, yang feng left him to heal by himself. Xie hong chen had woken up during the treatment and after looking at his surroundings and seeing the corpses around the woods, he knew that they were ambushed. When Su Yan asked him about what happened, he said that he didn't know as he was knocked out with a chop on the back of his neck.

After not finding anything significant on the attacker that would at least explain their affiliation and why they attacked them, they disposed off their bodies.

For the next few days they were on lookout for any hostile group of people in the surroundings, but didn't find any. Yang feng also searched the mine to see if there was any opportunity beneath it, but didn't find any so he thought that the cave formed naturally, which wasn't really that unusual as the mine was quite small compared to the one in blood battle gang's territory.

Close to a week of their battle, came the people of High Heaven Pavilion. When the elder who came heard about the incident, he was worried and asked how they were doing and if there were any severe injuries. He sighed in relief knowing that they were all fine.

They stayed there for a few more days, till the construction of the stronghold was finished. The elder with the disciples who accepted the mining mission and the workers of the sect stayed behind, while Yang Feng and the group lead the remaining disciples back to the sect.
