1 Awakening

In a small country of mortals, as dawn spread light to the far corners of the kingdom something heaven shaking has started taking place.

What should have been just another day for the Cultivators of the blue feather kingdom changed into one they would never forget.

Above the skies an invisible ripple spread across the kingdom, those above a certain realm are forced to kneel as their own energy collided with the heavens own Dao.

Its as if they've turned back into mortals, ignorant of how the way the world works. This change of mentality of those who had been in high power for many years have slowly changed their expressions of that of terror into one of pondering as they kneel.

The entirety of the blue feather kingdoms cultivators are experiencing a sudden moment of enlightenment, something that should only be experienced once in a lifetime had occurred to each martial artist and above realm cultivator simultaneously.

The entirety of the top echelons of the kingdom have turned quiet, only the mortals ignorant of what a terrifying event had occurred are going about their daily lives.

The Heavenly phenomenon leaves as quickly as it arrived, not even a few minutes pass before everything returns to usual.

Everyone would have thought they were dreaming if not for the fact they had confirmed with others who also experienced the same phenomenon as them.

The weaker cultivators who were unable to experience the fortune of enlightenment are confused as to why their own factions elders suddenly announced they are all going into closed door cultivation.

Within a worn out wooden shack located at the east district of blue fall city, a young scholarly man with a head wound snaps open his blood shot eyes.

Expressions of Panic and confusion flicker through his eyes several times before gaining calmness, The young mans mouth begins to quiver as he struggles to speak.

Soon he manages to whisper a few words of a language unknown in this world

"I'm not dead?"

Feelings of exhaustion overwhelm my entire being, I just let my body continue to rest on the wooden desk infront of me.

Recalling the last few moments, I remember having an A.I chip implanted into my brain. Its a new device created a year back, it can record, simulate and store all types of sensory data.

"Its a simple operation which you didnt even need to sleep through, just a quick injection and done" is the words of the doctor, in which it did go smooth, right upuntil the machine started smoking and the panic appearing on the doctors face.

I woke up here, could I still be within the hospital? but it seems old and unhygenic.

Puzzled, I move my eyes around the room. It feels so familiar but I've never seen this room before, as that thought ends a sharp pain shoots through my mind as new sets of fragmented memories begin appearing.

Lucas Flynn? 20 year old and studied history before running out of money and having to drop out, these memories of the ex-host shares the same age and name as me, coincidence?

To think I was killed and transmigrated into a different world, honestly what are the odds. Looking at the dire circumstances of the old host, I can see why he killed himself.

Thats right, the original host had killed himself with a revolver. One bullet through the temple, placing my right hand on where the wound should be, I get suprised as no injury can be felt.

Its mainly dried blood thats stuck to my long hair, the crossover must've healed the body. There are several factors that resulted in him commiting suicide.

The first would be he has nearly ran out of his inheritance money, His parents had passed away due to a disease outbreak two years ago.

His father had found a broken artifact which was sold to a merchant for a sum of money, Lucas used this money to join an academy to study higher education but his money was used up half way through due to the extreme costs of buying higher knowledge.

He has applied to many academies for a post of a sub teacher but due to not having a teaching certificate he was rejected from them all.

He is pale and thin, along with having long brown hair and a stuble gives him a mad scholar feeling, no labour jobs would want him due to his weak physqiue.

He had applied for the teaching exam twice, having paid 3 gold coins each time and only if you pass the test you get your gold back, although he looks intelligent, hes not good at studying so he failed the exam both times.

Out of anger he had applied for the scholarly exam which is several fold harder than a sub teacher exam.

Being more expensive to take, he used the last of his money, The scholar exam is two days from now but he subconsiously knows he had no chance. While the pressure was piling up and seeing no hope for the future, he ended his life early.

This world is rough, having no intelligence, strength or talent could still allow you to live a well off life on earth but here is a completely different society.

There exists a special energy here called Saint Force, saint force can be harnessed to strengthen your body while storing the remainder into your astral core that sits within the centre of your heart.

After tens of thousands of years, the people of this world have created all sorts of cultivation methods which allow you to harness saint force.

They've managed to create an entire system, due to having some sort of education even if it was cut short, I know the first several stages of cultivation.

It begins with the Mortal stage;

Mortals are people with life spans of 100 years.

Once you complete your first rotation of a cultivation manual and store saint force you become a Martial Apprentice then a Martial Artist, Martial Master and finally a Martial Ancestor.

Each Mortal stage has 10 layers.

Martial Ancestor is the end point for mortals, those who cultivate here are all geniuses and are extremely rare within the kingdom.

After the martial ancestor realm is when cultivating truly starts, these have broken the shackles of mortals by expanding their lifespan, living aslong as 300 years old.

They are called spirit cultivators and they've stepped into the spirit realm.

Searching my memories I dont recall this blue feather kingdom or the surrounding mortal kingdoms having a spirit cultivator. They should have, but only used as a hidden card in hand for when the kingdom is in crisis.

"I should rest" feeling exhaustion from my very soul ,I understand I should rest and allow my soul and body to fuse before performing any extreme actions.

Forcing myself to stand up, I dont look around the shack, I recall the room with a bed and drop down before blacking out.
