Upcoming Calamity

Chu Feng looked at Zhang Yingxiong and asked,"Is there anything else that my master said?"

He shook his head and replied,"No, that was the only paper that I was asked by your master to deliver."

He had a cheerful expression and continued,"Little Brother Chu Feng, you have to look after me in the future. We might become allies of life and death."

Chu Feng was confused and said,"What is the real story behind this challenge?"

Zhang Yingxiong then put on a serious expression and explained,

"There are countless worlds in the vast starry sky. As long as you become strong, you can live for more than 10,000 years. If your strength increases even more, you can live even longer. However, only those who are less than 100 years of age are called juniors. Across these worlds, there are also innumerable juniors with different talents."

"However, our generation of juniors is said to be the most promising among all. The apocalyptic scene in the illusion is said to be an unavoidable calamity that will befall our cultivation world. A prophecy mentioned of 9 heaven defying juniors being born in our era."

"It will be this 9 juniors of our generation, that will stop this apocalypse. All of these juniors are the ones that invoked 3 rays of light on the immemorial destiny stone. You and I are part of this group."

Chu Feng immediately asked him,"Do you know the other 7 people?"

He shook his head and said,"No. I don't personally know any of them. But, I do know of two juniors."

Chu Feng asked him again,"Is one of them Xianhai Yu'er from the Immortal Sea Fish Clan?"

He shook his head but looked at with curiosity,"No, but it seems you believe this girl can invoke 3 rays." Chu Feng nodded and thought for a few seconds.

He knew he was playing with fire here but couldn't help himself. Chu Feng asked him,"From what I have heard, the juniors from 500 years ago are the fiercest generation in the last 10,000 years. A lot of taltented experts were born in that time. Have you heard of Jie Ranqing?"

His eyes went wide a little but he answered,"Yes, I know what you are talking about. However, our generation is supposed to be even fiercer compared to theirs. Are you talking about Jie Ranqing from Seven Realms Sacred Mansion?"

Chu Feng nodded and said,"Off course. Who else could it be? I heard that she was considered as the most talented person in the entire marital cultivation. She was also the next heir of the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion. Are you saying that these 9 juniors will be superior to her?"

He gave a feral smile and said,"I have heard of her terrifying talent but geniuses are supposed to be surpassed. Don't you think?"

The others were just silently listening to the conversation between Chu Feng and Zhang Yingxiong. Sea Immortal had a thoughtful expression while Wang Yuxian was filled with curiosity.

Suddenly, someone from the group standing behind shouted,"Hah, 9 juniors surpassing all the seniors. Also, do you think anyone will believe that this so-called apocalyptic scenario is stopped by some juniors? I also think your stone here is fake."

Zhang Yingxiong sneered,"Oh, why don't you step in and see for yourself. I will admit defeat if even one of you can invoke a single ray."

They couldn't stand that provocation and went forward to try. None of them even invoked a single ray. Some of them came out bleeding all over while some just fainted.

Their expressions turned ugly as they saw a condescending smirk on Zhang Yingxiong.

Chu Feng nodded slightly and said,"I don't mind being friends if you apologise to Long Xiaoxiao."

He smiled at that and teased,"It's true as the say, love is blind. Alright, it's time for me leave."

However, when he tried to take the immemorial destiny stone, it was locked in space. He turned to Sea Immortal and said,"What is the meaning of this senior immortal?"

Chu Feng also narrowed his eyes after seeing this.

Sea Immortal however had a calm expression and said,"Little friend, I would appreciate it if you stay in our sect for a while."

Zhang Yingxiong's expressing turned cold as he said,"Are you trying to force me to stay?"

Sea Immortal smiled a little and replied,"No, I am simply asking you lend me this stone for some time."

Zhang Yingxiong snorted and said,"You are not qualified to possess that stone."

The disciples and elders stared to curse and threaten him. They also realised that their master took a liking to this stone so, they had no intention to play nice anymore. Many of them released their oppressive might to attack him.

Suddenly, a huge shattering sound was heard in the void. Everyone looked up into the void but there was no pressure or oppressive might cause by martial power. The entire Dao Sea vanished in an instant but still no one could sense any pressure. All the disciples and elders stood behind Sea Immortal filled with fear. Only Bu Lingxue came to Chu Feng's side but she didn't have fear in her eyes.

It was supposedly a warning for the so-called master of his. Everything went back to normal in an instant.

Sea Immortal had a complex experssion as she released her hold on the stone and said,"I only wanted to test lele's talent after she recovered. I meant no malice."

Zhang Yingxiong didn't even acknowledge her response. It was as if she was unqualified to speak to him.

He turned to Chu Feng and Wang Yuxian and said,"Little Brother Chu Feng, Miss Wang, we will meet again. I will take my leave now."

With that, he finally left.

Everything turned normal after that. Sea Immortal immediately asked Chu Feng,"Little Friend Chu Feng, do you know the origin of that lad?"

He shook his head and said,"Not specifically, but the one behind him can easily crush the Nine Soul Sacred Clan. He also seems to be from outside the Eastern Region."

She nodded and said,"I sensed an evil aura around him. Be careful."

Chu Feng nodded and bid farewell along with Bu Lingxue and headed towards Ancient Qin Starfield.

After leaving the Dao sea, Zhang Yingxiong went into the void where a tiny boat was floating. As soon as he operated the formation, a portal opened sucking him in. There was massive main hall inside this tiny boat with many rooms connected to it.

An old man was sitting quietly with his back facing Zhang Yingxiong. Although, he looked like an ordinary old man, his presence itself commanded power.

Zhang Yingxiong said,"Your insight is correct master. Little brother Chu Feng also invoked 3 rays of light."

The old man just replied,"I am the one who taught you so, of course, I would be able to observe more than you do. Have some faith in you master, brat."

Zhang Yingxiong's expression turned serious as he asked,"What was that weird phenomenon at the end, master? Also, the immemorial destiny stone seems to be damaged a little."

The old man stretched out his hand and said,"Give me the stone."

Zhang Yingxiong threw out the stone without hesitation. It shrieked into an egg sized stone.

The old man said,"No problems."

Zhang Yingxiong felt relieved for a second but had a complex expression as he asked,"Also, why wasn't he even a little stressed after coming out of the stone? Did he take this test before? Or is his talent higher than mine?"

The old man shook his head and replied,"No, this is his first time. The reason he was able to be nonchalant was because of the tribulations he faced. If you faced the same amount of tribulations as he did, you would also be like that."

Zhang Yingxiong widened his eyes as he asked,"Is there really no one protecting him?"

The old man shook his head again and replied,"No, right now he doesn't need much protection as he is already very strong. From what I can tell, his martial cultivation is 3rd rank Martial Exalted and his spirit power can exert the same level of power as 5th rank Martial Exalted. He must have encountered a fortuitous encounter after that battle in the Storm World. You have to a long way to catch up to him."

He paused for a few moments and continued,"Everyone has their own path to follow. I also prepared that dragon meat that you like. So, go on ahead."

Zhang Yingxiong was surprised when he heard Chu Feng's strength but immediately rushed to his room after hearing about dragon meat.

The old man looked at the immemorial destiny stone with a complicated expression and muttered,"It's actually sovereign's descent. I wonder if it is a good or bad omen for that lad."

He immediately found the cracks on the stone as soon as his student reported. He also knew about the phenomenon at the end but didn't want to discourage his student. So, he didn't mention it.

He just looked into the void and sighed,"Your son is truly a monster."

After leaving the Dao Sea, Bu Lingxue and I immediately headed towards the Ancient Qin Starfield. Specifically, the Heaven Reaching Realm. Wang Yuxian was also supposed to enter this completion but she might be a bit late.

Bu Lingxue immediately asked,"How do you propose we proceed? From the information that we gathered, the once a 10 year opening seems to be a clue to our next test."

I became thoughtfull and said,"I don't know. This 10 year event might just be a cover for the real test inside. It was the same in the Heaven Reaching Armoury Pagoda. The space that I entered wasn't the core of the pagoda. The test that I took was a very good opportunity but it was just a cover for the real pagoda inside."

I paused and pondered a little and added,"We'll investigate once we reach there."

She nodded and asked me with some hesitation,"You don't seem to like the Lady of the Dao Sea much. Is there a reason for that?"

I widened my eyes as I looked at her in surprise.

Why was it not irritating that she asked me a personal question out of the blue? Why do I actually want to answer? Why was she getting so concerned about my business?

I smiled a little and said,"So, you picked that up, huh? Yes, I don't like her or the members of her sect. Wang Yuxian is my only friend there."

I shook my head and continued,"But, that's a story for another time."

She nodded silently and we continued our journey. Soon, we entered one of the upper realms that belong to the Ancient Qin Starfield.

As the ruler of the galaxy, the Nine Souls Sacred Clan is the strongest force which stands above all the other forces of the galaxy. The Ancient Qin Clan or simply Qin Clan is one of the top 3 forces of the Nine Souls Galaxy with the exception of nine souls sacred clan.

The Anicent Qin Clan, Huang Clan and Heavenly Dao Sect are these three respective forces. All three of them have vast heritage and are said to be equal in strength. They also command vast influence throughout the nine souls galaxy. Huang Clan is similar to Qin Clan and has a history that dates back to the beginning of modern era.

However, Huang Clan has a history of having a fierce rivalry with the Qin Clan. There have been multiple altercations in the past which required Nine Souls Sacred Clan to intervene. The Heavenly Dao Sect is an equally ancient but neutral force that contains many famous talents of nine souls galaxy.

These three colossus inspire respect and awe into many forces of nine souls galaxy. No clan or sect every dares to go against these 3 forces. Even the Nine Souls Sacred Clan has to give huge amount of face to these 3 forces.

At this upper realm, we discovered that most of the talented juniors and their respective forces behind would be present at Heaven Reaching Realm.

Soon, we reached the teleportation formation that leads to Heaven Reaching Realm.

I stopped in front of the formation and turned to look at Bu Lingxue.

I said,"Elder Lingxue, there will be a lot of commotion because of this event. We have to be careful with our investigation."

Bu Lingxue said,"You seem to have come up with a plan. Let's hear it."

I nodded and continued,"I will enter the competition under the pretence that it's an excellent opportunity. Once I am inside the Valley, I will investigate and find out how to bring you in. From that key we have, I found out specifically that both of us need to be present to start the inheritance test."

She thought for a few moments and agreed.

We then jumped into the teleportation formation.
