25 The Truth

"You see that, Flash?"

Iwan glanced at Flash, and in that single second, Inas had wiped the sweat off his face.

Iwan looked back at Inas and there wasn't even a single drop of sweat visible on his face.

"Sit down, child."

A furious shout echoed around the hall and almost caused Iwan to faint.

'I thought a Karen was screaming after her dog stepped on a bee.'

Iwan accurately matched the shout from Inas with one of the sounds that he had heard back on Earth.

While he was reluctant to sit just because a kid with golden hair and a chiseled face told him to, he couldn't help it.

His body moved as Inas ordered, and Iwan was already in his seat.

"Even though this was the first world destroyed, it wasn't the first one attacked like this."

"The dark worlds attacked other worlds too?"

"That's right."

"Then how did they survive?"

"It was all thanks to my last apostle."

"You mean the guy who had left me on my birthday just to buy some milk?"

After going back and forth with Inas, Iwan had once again reached a point where he had to talk about his father.

A gloomy look covered his face, but he didn't fly out in rage this time.

He had taken many hits to his carefree mentality after learning the ancient knowledge and the knowledge of the continuous attacks on the worlds by the dark worlds.

"Yuan Dich Inas."

"He was the reason why the worlds survived. But, sadly, after he decided to go on that 'journey', I had to wait for his return till this devastating incident happened."

"Then, the time he went out to buy some milk had something to do with this?"

Iwan could feel his heart beating harder as he asked this question.

'Is that guy still out there somewhere?'

Iwan remembered the worlds clearly as the sight of the countless worlds with life was one that was unforgettable.

There were so many worlds, which also increased the chance of his father being in one of them.

"Sadly, he isn't in one of our worlds."

Inas shook his tiny face as his golden hair went from right to left, then left from right.

The kid looked like an absolute mad man, and along with his rejection, Iwan was led into a pitfall of confusion.

Iwan tightened his fist and looked down.

'Maybe, he is dead. But I didn't even get a chance to hit him once.'

"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk..."

Just when Iwan had an extreme thought of losing his father before giving him a punch to the face, he found Inas starting a very unimpressive beatboxing session.

"What are you doing?"

"Your father may be alive. Just that he isn't in of OUR worlds."

Each word that left the mouth of Inas was slowly brightening the gloomy look on Iwan's face.

"It was around twenty years ago that he decided to do something that no one had ever done."

'Around twenty years ago? Then that means it was the same time as my sixth birthday.'

Inas looked at Iwan as he wondered what his father had decided, which would take him so far away that he wasn't in any of the worlds.

"Among all of my apostles, he was the first one who had taken the initiative of attacking a dark world. But only as an individual force. Seeing his back turned towards me and his gesture of saying goodbye to me with just a wave of his hand as he jumped into the first dark world was the last time I saw him."

Inas recalled with tears in his eyes.

With the change in his figure, even his majestic demeanor had changed. It was still there, but not one that a God would carry.

Seeing the tears in the eyes of Inas, even Iwan was moved to tears.

'Why is he crying? Is he my father's son too?'

Iwan shook his head to throw off the untimely thought.

"Ba-Dump!"

The hall darkened, and Iwan found two deep eyes staring into his soul.

These were the same eyes that held tears in them, tears that were saddened by his father's departure. But, now, the same eyes looked commandingly at him.

"Ba-Dump!"

"Now, his responsibility will fall on you, my one-thousandth and sixty-ninth apostle."

Inas ordered in a thundering tone.

Just the 'responsibility' was so heavy that the moment it came out of his mouth, Iwan's body curved, and he bowed his head.

"What the hell!"

Iwan mumbled, but he still couldn't raise his head. At the moment, he felt like a chicken getting ready to be slaughtered.

Facing the falling pressure was never a choice. He was already responding to every command of Inas just like Inas wanted.

Looking at Iwan from the side, Flash smiled and clasped his hand after looking at Inas.

"Ahem!"

Flash coughed, and from his mouth, the cough carried some tiny cute-looking thunderbolts that exploded after stopping an inch away from Iwan.

The explosion didn't harm Iwan one bit.

"What?"

Iwan raised his head freely before looking at Flash.

"Are you trying to kill him before he even gets to do what he is supposed to do?"

"Don't worry. It was just a test for 'my' apostle. Only this much won't even hurt him."

The two stared at each other after a short back and forth while Iwan was nervous as he could feel the tension between Flash and Inas.

One was Zeus, the king of Olympian gods, while the other was Inas.

Even though Inas had a name that suggested that a person was talking about something lost in a dirty abyss, that wasn't the case.

He was the sixth light of nothingness—one of the seven strongest gods.

'Are they going to fight?'

Iwan wondered while excitedly waiting for something to start.

"He fell for it."

Instead of something happening, Inas and Flash turned to Iwan with a burst of sheepish laughter.

'What? I feel for what?'

Iwan was lost but not for too long as he looked down for a second, and before looking up, a laughing voice started rising from his mouth.

"Hahaha!"

The hall was filled with laughter. It was so loud that the whole of Olympus was trembling.
