21 The Oath

"YES!"

Iwan nodded with a confident look. He had lived a life that was filled with only downs. He rarely had any ups, so it didn't matter what his father's reason was going to be; he just wanted to know it.

"I am not your father. Neither are you adopted. But, I am the one who has been sponsoring your family for more than a hundred years."

"Since I am not your father, I never left your mother."

"Ba-Dump."

Iwan grabbed his chest as the man answered his first question.

"I can go anywhere I want. No one can question my movements. As for your last question, I am neither alive nor dead."

"Ba-Dump."

As the man answered his second and third questions, he could feel his heart jumping out of his chest.

The person who Iwan thought was his father rejected him instantly. With a tone that couldn't be more direct and clearer than that.

Each answer was like a mountain of arrogance for Iwan, who had difficulty listening to them.

The answers were unbelievable, but funnily, Iwan could tell that the man in front of him wasn't lying. But then again, the reality was thicker than his muscles.

'He is a patron of my family?'

"Then why? Why do you look exactly like my father?"

"Wait. I am not finished."

"What is the name of your father?"

Iwan was interrupted by the man just to be asked a ridiculous question.

"Yuan Dich Inas."

Iwan answered it instantly.

Yuan was the name of his father. It was a not-so-familiar name—a rare name for someone from Yakutsk.

At the same time, it was also not too weird for someone from Yakutsk to have such a name.

Dich was Iwan's family name that even his great grandfather had as the middle name.

Surprisingly, Iwan could never understand the last part of his name which was Inas.

"Correct. That is the name of that person I had taken as my 1068th apostle. Now, say your full name."

"Iwan Dich Inas!?"

Iwan trembled.

Since his father had left him at an early age and because of his circumstances, there was rarely any occasion where he had to tell someone his full name. But, for the first time in many years, he finally realized how this was a masked blessing for him.

A part of his mind had shattered when he realized that the person in front of him wasn't his father.

Another part of his mind just shattered when he realized his name was just a shitty wordplay.

'Is this life?'

Iwan was once again forced to question his reality. Right when he was questioning his life, his nemesis, the bloody screen appeared right in front of his face.

( Congratulations! )

( You Have Become The 1069th Apostle Of The One That Illuminates )

'Congratulations?'

( Two Titles Have Been Acquired After Taking The Oath Of Slavery )

( Title Unlocked: Apostle Of The Sixth Light! )

( Title Unlocked: Lower Guest Of Olympus! )

'Oath of slavery?'

Iwan was sweating. He had just called out his name, but how did it end up with him becoming an apostle.

At the same time, more critical things were weighing on his mind.

The man in front of him was grinding at him.

"You are just like your father."

The man commented before bursting into a burst of roaring laughter.

"Hahaha!"

Flash also joined in on the laughing without understanding the reason behind all the drama between his guest and Iwan.

"You-"

Iwan pointed at the man in front of him while also glancing at Flash.

"Sit."

The man commanded, and Iwan's body strictly followed the man's words.

A wooden chair appeared behind him, forcing him to sit on it.

For an instant, Iwan could feel an authoritative presence pressuring his body to follow the command of the man in front of him.

"My appearance is a fleeting matter. I can appear in front of you as a being you loathe or as a being you love."

The man told Iwan, and Iwan watched him change his shape into that of a hairy animal.

From the body and face of his father, Iwan found the man changing into the body and shape of his partner.

"Old Pudin!"

Iwan shouted without realizing it wasn't Pudin; instead, the man had changed his shape.

"So simple."

An unrecognizable voice left the mouth of the little bear as it changed into something bigger.

The man was still sitting on the same chair, but his body had become twice as big.

His shape still had that humanoid configuration, but the clothes were gone. But, that allowed Iwan to peer into something marvelous.

The man's body changed for the second time, right in front of Iwan.

This time he had changed into a body filled with countless stars in peering darkness.

"Your body...It's like I am looking at a night sky filled with shining stars."

Iwan mumbled as he rudely stared at the astral body of the man in front of him.

"Electrifying!"

Flash said from the side as lightning bolts danced around him.

"Where?"

Iwan pointed at the man and squinted his eyes.

"Where did you get such realistic tattoos?"

Iwan asked in seriousness while Flash, on the side, almost fell from his chair.

"My Bepsiii~."

Even though he retained his balance somehow, Iwan's sudden question caused Flash to lose the hold over his jade glass.

"Hahaha~"

The man laughed at Iwan's innocence and the clumsiness of Flash.

"You are the one. Even the King of Olympian Gods lost his balance because of your words."

The man praised Iwan and got up from his chair.

Iwan and Flash looked at each other and smiled simultaneously before shifting their gaze back at the man.

The hall turned dark. The stars seemed to be jumping out of the man's body and covering every inch of the hall.

A mysterious power soon formed an ever-expanding replica of the infinite universe in the closed space of this hall.

Iwan could only look around with enchanted eyes, but he wasn't alone.

Even Flash, The King Of Olympian Gods, Zeus, was taken back by the picture his guest painted.

"I am Inas, the Sixth of the Seven Lights of Nothingness."

The man formally introduced himself to Iwan while Flash nodded at the side.
