Lightning Board

Flash smiled as he looked in the direction where Iwan was pointing at.

"So, first is you, my son, Hephaestus."

Flash mumbled to himself before raising his hand.

'What is he doing?'

Iwan wondered, and just then, Iwan felt the space around him getting pressed by an unimaginable pressure.

A shining light blue light crackled as it fell right in the spot between Iwan and Flash.

Iwan could see a thunderbolt as tall as him and broad too, just like a surfing board.

"BOOM!"

"BOOM!"

After seeing the thunderbolt fall, Iwan heard a thunderclap that echoed once before dying out completely.

"This will take you to the twelfth domain."

Flash pulled out the zigzag board, which was made out of thunder.

"Do you want me to die by electrocution?"

Iwan questioned Flash's intentions.

He would be a fool to stand over a bright lightning bolt just for fun.

Flash suddenly threw the board towards Iwan, who grabbed it frantically.

"It's warm."

Instead of getting electrocuted, Iwan felt a sense of comfort as he held the lighting board in his hand.

Iwan looked up and stared at Flash with deep meaningful eyes.

Suddenly breaking out with a big smile, Iwan raised the board.

"Can I keep this? Please?"

Flash was taken back by Iwan's reaction.

"Hahaha~. That board is one of my most prized treasures."

Flash laughed and told Iwan how important the lightning board was to him.

Not understanding the underlying meaning behind Flash's words, Iwan looked at the board and nodded.

"It indeed is qualified to be one of your treasures."

"So, Can I keep it?"

Flash took a deep breath as Iwan asked for the board again.

'Even he asked me for my lightning board. It's like I am looking at a young Apollo.'

Flash thought about Apollo.

Among all of his sons, if Hephaestus was a weapon freak, then Apollo was someone who only had greed for his father's treasures.

Since he had declined Apollo, then Iwan was no exception.

"What are you thinking about? Can I keep it?"

Seeing how Flash was thinking about it so much, Iwan was already sure he would be keeping the board from now on.

"You can keep that board."

Flash answered with a deep smile just like the one hanging on Iwan's face.

"Thank y-"

"Only till you leave Olympus."

Flash felt satisfied with his answer.

He had allowed Iwan to keep his lightning board while not losing it completely.

"Tsk."

Iwan silently clicked his tongue and looked at the lighting board.

"How do I ride it?"

Iwan turned the board, but neither was there any sea here nor any mechanical option on the board that he could use to ride the board.

Flash closed his eyes and folded his arms in front of his chest as he began answering Iwan.

"Throw it forward and jump on it. It will take you where you want to go with just a single intention."

Flash announced how the lightning board worked in a boasting manner as though nothing was like his lightning board anywhere, even in the nothingness.

Flash opened his eyes and found that he was standing there alone.

Hundreds of kilometers away, in midair, Iwan was standing on the board with shaky legs.

Below him was the second domain, which was also ending.

That was just how fast the lightning board was going.

"Just how fast is this thing?"

Iwan could feel his heart beating madly.

He had even lost a few hair strands that would have left his head anyway in the near future, but that didn't cause him to look away from the board.

"If it was even a little faster, I would have fallen from it."

Iwan nervously swallowed his drool and looked away from the board.

He couldn't even clearly distinguish the honorary marks and the number he was flying by.

The third, fourth, and fifth, he passed all these domains in a matter of a few seconds.

Ten seconds later, the lightning board finally stopped at the edge of the twelfth domain after traveling thousands of kilometers.

Iwan was barely holding himself back from jumping like a crazy kindergarten kid who had just gone on his first slide.

"That was awesome."

Iwan shouted at the top of his lungs and looked down.

The board was slowly going down vertically. No matter how fast it was before, it didn't dare to stop after entering the twelfth domain.

"It's so hot."

Iwan commented as he felt the sudden temperature rise.

Iwan could even see his sweat beads rising from the depth of his skin, and the next thing he found was their instant evaporation.

"Just how does that guy stay in there?"

Iwan wondered after jumping off the lightning board that had parked itself right at the entrance of the domain.

Iwan looked ahead. From the edge, he could barely distinguish between the regions inside the domain where Hephaestus was resting.

"The color changes regularly."

Iwan mumbled as he took a step forward and entered the region of the twelfth domain.

The red screen appeared in front of Iwan, but he didn't even flinch.

Iwan had already gotten used to the sudden appearance of the bloody screen.

"Yeah. Yeah. He had given me the invitation that I am visiting his domain first."

Iwan started talking to himself, but in his mind, he was talking to the millennial princess.

"Pssst~"

Iwan could hear a slow-burning sound rising from his feet. But, the pain from the burning wasn't enough to stop him.

The first region had a light yellow air that started getting heavier as Iwan reached the second region.

'Is there no one here? I can't see a single soul.'

Iwan thought to himself while looking around.

"BANG!"

"BANG!"

Sounds of beating erupted from the center of the domain and reached Iwan's ears.

"That guy must be using his giant hammer."

Iwan guessed these were the same sounds he had heard when he entered Olympus.

That was when Blaze visited him with a hammer in his hand.

"Ah, whatever."

Iwan picked up his speed as he made his way towards the central region covered by a yellowish-red fire.

The air's color got darker, and each preceding region in the twelfth domain became hotter as Iwan moved towards the middle region from where he could hear a metallic sound.

An hour later.

The air around Iwan was dark red as though the particles and the gases around him were on fire. But, for some reason, Iwan wasn't harmed at all.

Iwan stood behind a hundred feet tall wall of fire that was spread around roundly.

That wall of fire hid a whole region.

"Bang! Bang!"

The hammering sound continued erupting from the center.

"I AM HERE!"

Iwan shouted while holding back his fist.
