New Beginning

The sun, like an unmerciful god, embraced everything with its radiating arms.

So longed for on cold days, here it was the most treacherous enemy, for those who were not, used to commune with it.

The silent desert, covered with a sea of sand, seemed dead, but anyone who lives in its surroundings knew it was actually teeming with life.

Is it on a scorching sunny day, which can be swallowed up by sandstorms, at any moment, or on astonishingly cool nights, which differed so diametrically in their temperature from that prevailing during in the day.

The desert was full of a variety of life.

From creatures barely visible to the naked eye, or Desert Beasts to human beings, most of whom were Desert People.

About these last is said, to that in their DNA they possess to a greater or lesser extent the genes of the ancient inhabitants of this world, those who were loved by the desert, and those who were not afraid of its volatility and a difficult to live climate.

Although now the desert has become less wild, it still, despite entering an interstellar era it managed to be the potential to be treacherous and deceptive. But precisely, among others, that was its beauty.

And thanks to appreciating it's, by a larger group of influential people, it was decided to protect its structure and not introduce changes that could break its centuries-old unchanged ecosystem.

Therefore, even now, when spacecraft were common along with the robots, and with replacing the cells, and often even computers, with popular light brains, the desert could still be mysterious, and the events taking place there were not always discovered by others.

And it was just like that at this moment when suddenly, after passing a huge sandstorm, a motionless body emerged from it, with an almost jade-like milky-white skin through which delicate blue veins pierced.

Illuminated by the rays of the sun, it seemed to be a desert dream, an illusionist imagination, seen only by those, who got lost in the desert without water or food, and those who caught up by the sun.

The figure of an exceptionally young male was like the personification of a desert oasis. The Heart of a Desert, so unlike the rest of it as if it were from another fairy tale.

This young male can peacefully be mistaken for a teenager.

His motionless form seemed to be extremely fragile and delicate, but also it was giving the impression of being calm. He brings to mind an unconquerable and unwavering glacier.

Long, as to the prevailing in the desert standards, wavy hair reaching below the waist, it enveloped around the teenager like a protective cocoon, and it sparkled with a beautiful deep-sea color, going from the top of deep black to navy blue, to finally turning into cornflower with a hint of azure.

They were like water, so beloved by all desert inhabitants.

The young man's delicately outlined face had a certain alienation about it as if someone had added some ice to it, which made it even more intriguing.

Through closed eyes, dense and long black lashes cast a shadow on the teenager's cheeks.

The straight, though the small and gently upturned nose, slender eyebrows, and high cheekbones along with full moist lips in a dim powdery red color, created an ethereal phenomenon.

Unfortunately, despite the elapsing time, this young man never once did he give none any sign of life.

The sun was slowly hiding behind the horizon, giving way to the moon, and the temperature began to drop drastically.

It didn't bode well for the adolescent, whose a slowly covered the desert sand, and who was wearing only airy desert robes consisting only of trousers, a shawl, and an airy, slightly transparent blouse close to his slim body.

Finally, when the last rays of the sun were about to disappear, the adolescent opened his watery almond eyes with gently curved upward tips, about of a deep navy blue color with flecks of a lighter shade of blue.

Beautiful dark eyes, they were hazy by bewilderment.

The first thing Mivio saw, when he opened his eyes, there was twilight and a sea of sand.

The view which was so daily for the natives, for him it was something extraordinary and offbeat.

Full of consternation, he rose to a sitting position, then looked at his hands, and then touched his face and hair with them as if to check their condition.

After a while, he breathed a sigh of relief, accepting the assuming that this body is still his body.

Then he gently licked his lips with his tongue and brushed his hair back with his hands so that they don't obstruct his visibility, as the desert night wind began to rise more and more, not only playing with his hair but also bringing a chill penetrating his whole body and bones.

The last thing I remember, it was... Water.

My body seemed to float in it, although I don't remember going into it.

It washed away from me the suffering and pain of betrayal that still quietly lived inside of me...

But what was before?

The adolescent frowned his slender eyebrows, and there was an expression of pain on his ethereal face and glistening drops of sweat.

It seemed that the memories of the past have been buried deep in his mind, and return to them was a painful experience.

After a while, Mivio raised his head up.

This movement exposed his slender swan neck, making him seem to be even more fragile and unreal.

Sighing heavily, he closed his pain-filled eyes.

The last rays of the sun caressed his face, only to disappear after a while, plunging everything into the darkness and the dim light of the entering moon and timidly appearing in the night sky twinkling stars.

Finally, the androgenic youth opened his watery eyes.

The pain and bewilderment which were previously visible in them disappeared as if they never existed.

Full of awareness and his restored memory, his gaze seemed to be covered with a layer of frost, ice that was supposed to not let anyone get closer to him.

I remember.

I was an ordinary person, not too distinguished by anything, except my slightly unconventional appearance.

I was alive alone, and I didn't love anyone.

For many years, I have been walking alone around the world, living according to my own ideas and searching for my own truth.

And although in recent years there have been people who showed their interest in me, talked about love, or made ambiguous suggestions and proposals, I never pay attention to them.

My heart was cold, completely unshakable.

I didn't consider relationships or feelings between people for something important. After all, it's all just impermanent things that quickly disappear once the initially interested party gets what they want.

I have lived like this for many years until the advent certain time has come and will happen certain things...

I didn't even notice when my entire personage softened, lowering my defensive walls and blunting the blade of caution.

Unfortunately, it didn't bring me anything good. I received a painful reminder of why I was the way I was and not the other.

Only after being betrayed by the only person which I dared to let a little into my heart, I understand, I noticed that my defensive walls were not strong enough.

I was supposed not to love, and I said I didn't love, but I did love a little and paid for it. Fortunately, I didn't feel real love, but only a deeper infatuation with this person.

An infatuation that every human experience and which, in fact, for most people are completely irrelevant afterward.

After this event, after the person's betrayal, I strengthened my heart, and my beliefs and disinterest in others grew deeper.

Mivio was different from the others since he was a child. He was withdrawn and often delved into his own thoughts without paying attention to the surroundings or the world.

His parents died when he was still a small child, and then a conviction began to form in his heart that everything was impermanent and that people could easily leave, and therefore, he began to avoid attachment, as not to suffer.

Because a really what he feared the most, and what he didn't even want to admit to himself, it was the fear of suffering.

Fear of feeling immense pain associated with the loss of a person, to whom he would give his heart and all of himself.

That's why he was lived in the convinced that it's better not to love at all than to love and lose.

And that's just how he died, this phenomenal but cold young man.

He died alone by his beloved sea on heart failure, the cause of which was unknown to him.

But how did he find himself here in the middle of the desert sands without a view of his beloved sea or even a scrap of water?

This he didn't know, and for a moment, it tormented his mind, which he searched in an attempt to get for an answer, and finally, sighing deeply, he gave up trying to find any explanation for his strange situation.

He decided to accept what is and live on, learning about his current situation and the world in which he is now.

Eventually, as long as he could remember, he was able to quickly adapt to new circumstances. But at the same time, it didn't mean that he accepted or agreed to what didn't suit him.

No, when he encountered such situations, he never lowered his head. He didn't agree to a life in which he cannot be himself and live as he feels and wants.

After all, although he was a young, educated man who was even called a kind of genius by some, he didn't possess well-developed common sense, and often even the usual delicacy or intuition in words was alien to him.

By this, he was often wrongly called cynical and merciless. Of course, these terms were not always contrary to the truth.
