Chapter 12- Bella Ciao

I hop downstairs humming ' Bella Ciao,' these days I am obsessed with Money Heist.

But I stop humming as soon as his brown volcanic eyes rakes me from head to toe. He is saying something to my father but he stares at me. I feel all the blood rush towards my face. What's gotten into him?And what's gotten into me?

I resiliently move towards the glass dinning table ignoring him. " Hey Mom, Hey Papa."

My mother shakes her head. " You all are such a kid I can't take anymore. "

" What ?" I say amiably. " And yes dad I want a piece of leftover cake you made yesterday. I promised Ahan I would bring it. "

I see his whole body become still as rock, then in a very very deceptively calm voice. And a very very truculent burning eyes he asks me. " He wants to have cake? And you would bring it. By any chance did you invite him to the match? "

My mother and father, again gawk us with impeding eyes and open mouth. I ignore them and give him a brittle smile. I don't know how I am able to speak in proper sentence under his adjudicating eyes. But I manage, " Oh actually quite the opposite. He invited me with some of his friends. But Alas! I could not go with him. So I promised him I would bring him Papa's handmade chocolate cake. " Bang on Shanvi!

His eyes look like it will asunder every bits and pieces on the table. But I know he is retracting back in front of my parents. He seems to struggle, his censorious eyes glazing fire. I squiggly push back on my chair knowing he is trying to do what he does. My mind goes back to my apartment, him standing so close. His thumb and fingers grazing my lips.

Why are you thinking such perverted thoughts since morning?

" Ummm Who is, who is Ahan Shanvi? " My father realises he is going to the wrong territory when Kiyansh's scintillating eyes move towards my father.

I throw a warning glance to Kiyansh and give a crisp smile to my father, taking a bite of my toast from my plate handed by Tanya Tai, " He is a friend, an actor. He is in Delhi for a film. "

" Oh the actor, yeah I know him, looks burly. " My mother snorts as my father realises again what slipped from his mouth, his face turning red. His eyes evading Kiyansh's completely.

While Kiyansh looks like he is the actual representation of the colour red.

" Well let's go. The match starts in one hour. Aisha you should come with us too it's Sunday. "

" No. " my mother rolls her eyes, " I have work to do. The Italy branch is having some problems. Need to sort it out. And I am not a cricket fanatic like you guys are."

" Okay Honey. " My father hobbles on his feet. He kisses my mother in the cheek. And awkwardly mutters, " Let's go both of you. "

I finish my toast and take a spoonful of peanut butter in my mouth. I stand more than still. My monastic abilities to piss Kiyansh off are becoming way than better. I chunk off all the peanut butter then turn towards my mother kissing her on the cheek, " See you. " She gives me a concerned look but kisses me back.

I see him getting up from the table and giving a firm nod at my mother. Then he says to my father in a very calm collected voice, like a shore which seems still but can break off any moment and destroy everyone in the path. " Would you mind if I take Shanvi with me? We'll meet you there. "

What? No. No. No. I don't wanna go with you.

I look at my father pleadingly. But he just gives me a pitiful smile. What? You are my father. I see him with accusing eyes but to my apostasy he says," Yeah sure. "

I disconsolately stand on my feet. When I feel Kiyasnh near me I take a step back. " Umm you can go I will come with Papa. There's some work I need to do. "

His predatory eyes are searing me with their fire. " I have a laptop in car you can use it. " Before I can make any other excuse he nods at my parents and drags me out the house, dragging me from the paved yard to the parking block. He opens the door of his Range Rover and literally tossels me in. He closes the door on my face. Anger surges up inside me but I know if I am gonna fight with him right now. I don't even know what thunder would strike. Why did you do that? My inner self asks. The only answer I can gather is impulsion. But I regret the moment I see him sitting on the driving side. His calm composed deceptive persona has buffed off and I see the desert of his eyes burning in rage. He was taking harsh deep breaths. Looking straight.

" Calm down." The ephiphany of the situation baffled me, but inside I knew I was just trying to make him feel what he made me feel on Friday. I wanted him to know just even an inch what does it feel like to be compared and ignored for other women.

Just as I try to reach for his arms, Tanya Tai comes in the parking lot with a releived smile. She waves on my with window and I open it. " Thought you were gone. You said at the table you wanted to give chocolate cake to your friend right. Here it is. " She dangles the cake wrapped in white glittering plasic paper inside a glass container. I want to throw the chocolate cake when I see Kiyansh fully turn towards me. His eyes fixed on the chocolate cake. Tanya Tai, pushes it into my hands and waves me bye smiling at me.

The charge in the car feels too much but I don't dare to say a single word. Not even dare to take another look at him.

I don't even know how fast the car stops in front of the stadium. He opens the car door for me. Then without a single word he just dangles the car keys at the guards. He doesn't even need to show any Id. He is just let in. The manager with hefty suit agiatingly comes towards us, dressed in a white crisp full shirt and blue tie he looks strikingly young. " Hello. Hello Sir. Mam. " His eyes stay at me for a minute longer than necessary.

Kiyansh snaps his fingers in front of the manager's eyes. His left hand holding mine squeezes me with an imperious force.

" Mr. Sharma is going to come here. Attend him and make your eyes stay where they are supposed to be. " The manager blushes. And nods his head.

I try to free my hand away from his. But he grapples my hand with his pristine ones and instead of moving towards the staircase leading to the VIP Box he takes me towards an enclosed area. The people in that area are very less. And they don't notice much as they are busy on their wireless devices. " Where are we going?" I probe him but he doesn't answer. Instead he takes a left turn and takes me toward a small looking door colored in brown. Mystically he opens the door taking us both in.

" What. What are you doing? " I ask. He pushes me on the door caging me between both his arms. His dilated angry eyes send a shiver down my body.

He moves irresistibly close to me. His sharp breath warm on face. The smell of woodpines and chocolate is all I can smell. With shivering hands I put hands on his chest to push him in or out I don't know.

With sandstorm eyes and burning volcano he moves in with crucible promenading force, his pink full lips irresistibly closer to me.

" Why are you doing this?" His lips whisper.

My heart twanges. " I am not doing anything."

" You are not giving him any cake. I want to eat that cake." His eyes shine under his eyelids.

I guffawed. " Is this about cake? Kiyansh you know my father can make hundreds of cake for you."

His hands moves from my arms to my waist. His fingers leaving goosebumps on their trail. " Do you think this is about cake? " His fingers tighten on my stomach.

My heartbeat jumps to my throat I try to find a valid answer. But nothing comes up.

" So will you give him something that is MINE ? " He stresses on MINE so much, my inner feminist wakes like a pheonix.

I push him back. " I am not yours " I say with a miffed tone.

" Aren't you? " He gloats.

" No." I say.

The look of hurt flashes on his eyes.

Kiyansh-

How can she say that? I will prove her that we belong to each other. She is wrong. She is so wrong.

A bloody actor or a model I don't care. Nobody is taking her from me. I won't let any of the fools even buzz around her.

I move towards her ans she waddles towards the door. I sigh. She is so innocent. I sometimes don't even know how she ended up in my life. The best thing that ever happened to you. My heart can jump to her legs. I take a deep breath and say calmly. " Let's go. Your father must be waiting for us. "

She just nods her head. There was a time when I used to know everything that was going on in her head. These days it's a puzzle.

It's because you let her go. You were stupid my inner self mutters.

I won't let go this time.
