Chapter 8-What Witches Are Made Of

After the journey from Eblines to Driuce, I can see the stunning seashore from my location. My ears were receiving the calming waves as if all of my issues had been resolved. I caught a distant glimpse of Zain and a relic that tracked a specific individual. I felt uneasy about this. When he noticed that I was in front of him, his eyes grew wider. A faint blue light emanates from the artifact. I began to flee from him when, to my surprise, a man who resembled a boy-version of me from my time in Glaustein stood in my path.

He gave me a tight hug and said, "Change your appearance back to your original form, Epiphany. You can't escape from us."

He started crying as I pushed him away. I was cornered by Zain, who then bound my hands. My mana got drained and I returned to my former appearance. Zain turned to the man in front of me and said, "So you know that she can change her appearance?"

In front of me, a man nodded. I gritted my teeth and made an effort to get free of the hold. The man said, "Epiphany, shall we return to our home?"

Our home? Which home? I remember growing up by myself! Nobody was there for me when I most needed them! "Epiphany, are you still being obstinate?" he inquired.

I push Zain away with all of my force before my mana runs out. By spreading the falsehood that it is unable to restrain my mana, I destroy the restraint. In order to avoid suspicion, I even transformed it into a knife. I yelled, "How dare you call me by my name! I don't even know you!"

We were suddenly enveloped in silence, with the only source of calm being the shore's waves. Zain begs and falls to his knees, "Princess Epiphany, he is your elder brother, Prince Rowan! "Please let's go back to Eblines!" I move away from them and move in the direction of the ocean. I yelled at my brother as I crossed the calm sea that had begun to have large waves. Zain came charging at me, grabbing my arms. He even marches out of the water while carrying me like a bag of rice. Even worse, he pinched my face like it was a cute creature.

I cried, "O-O-Ouch! It hurts, Zain!"

Zain gives a long, heavy sigh and pats my head. My hair resembles a nest of birds. They are concerned about you. Stop acting like a brat," Zain yelled. I'm not being a brat. I waved his hands away and gave Zain a deathly look. I said, "Zain, I can't go back to Eblines; I reject my title as a princess." Prince Rowan arched his brows as he approached me. Prince Rowan embraced me once more, this time firmly.

Prince Rowan yelled, "Epiphany, I refused your declaration! I heard what happened back in Glaustein! If you refuse your title as a princess, they will chase you all over the continent."

I smirk while preparing my weapon. I couldn't care less what would happen to me if I lost my princess status. I turned my sword into a gun and shot the vampire riding on his back.

I responded, "Prince Rowan, witches don't train for nothing. We are molded to have the courage to defend ourselves from the harsh reality of this world. We are born to protect our loved ones from harm!"

In order to face the vampires in front of me, I pushed Prince Rowan to Zain. The gun shells from Metamorphosis fell to the ground one by one as I ran in their direction. The vampires all die at once and burn up in the same instant. I'm surprised that these vampires can walk in sunlight. I kill a lot of vampires, but a nostalgic question lurks at the back of my mind. Witches are made of what? You can have both grace and ferocity. You can be dangerously silent. You may be kind, but you could be merciless. However, the main qualities that most witches had to possess were bravery, skill, intelligence, and wisdom. I devote a lot of time to mastering these four requirements for witches.

My weapon changes into a lance, which I use to rip his heart from his body. I quickly changed the lance I was using into a rapier and slashed them. The blue flames burned them, and they screamed. Their blood can change into blue flames through my weapon, metamorphosis. Their blood was then transformed into blue rose petals as it was pumped from their bodies. My dress's blood was transformed into blue rose petals. As the final vampire in front of me transformed into blue rose petals, I flipped away my hair.

Prince Rowan and Zain were too shocked to speak. I returned my weapon to its original configuration and stowed it in my case belt.I stretched my arms and legs out. I feel as though I haven't moved my body in a while. Prince Rowan was reprimanded by Zain after grabbing his collar.

"When you were back in Glaustein, you forgot to teach her how to act like a lady, as I already told you, Prince Rowan!" Zain yelled.

On the pristine sand, Prince Rowan pushed Zain away and took a seat. He was ogling and mumbling, which occurred to me as a curse.

"I'm doomed to our parants! What should I do, Zain? They're going to murder me!" Prince Rowan gives Zain a thoughtful look. I even crossed my arms, pretended to cough, and looked at them.

"Listen up, you two. Why do you two have preconceived notions about how women should behave? I'll only ever ask for help when—oh, never mind! " I said.

I won't ever ask for help. I've done it before, but they never showed up. All I got was pain until Mr. Falthrom came and took care of me. He always takes care of me, even though our homes are different.

When I looked up, I noticed Mr. Falthrom avoiding a hungry stray dog that was barking at him and hugging the tree trunk. "I just want to eat my lunch quietly, so please stay away from me!" "Mr. Falthrom yelled,"

Although the dog was too small, he had the courage. I take a look around and get a dart nail ready. I used a dart nail to take out a red-spotted white hare that I had spotted. I picked it up as soon as I realized it was dead. I started to build a fire after gathering some twigs. I carefully cut out the hare's hair and removed its internal organs. I buried this hare's liver because it was poisonous. I prepare to roast the hare after cleaning it. After it cooked, I called the famished dog. He consumes the hare meat that I gave him. Mr. Falthrom climbs down the tree and stares at me furiously.

Mr. Falthrom yelled, "You are cooking food for a stray dog that nearly killed me!"

I got to my feet and moved on. "It's good to see you again, Mr. Noah," I said. I didn't use his last name when I addressed him, which shocked him. A recognizable purring came from the area. Calyx was purring at a man with golden eyes and green hair. He had glasses on, and when he noticed me, he leaped into a tree. He yelled, "Who the hell are you, Miss?"

When Mr. Falthrom saw this shy person hiding in a tree, he rushed to my side and began to laugh. Mr. Falthrom yelled, "You better go down, Cloud! The lady beside me is the lost princess of Eblines! Better respect her! The guy named Cloud jumps from the tree. Mr. Falthrom smiled when I looked at him.

I yelled at Mr. Falthrom, "So you knew all the time but you didn't even bother to tell me?" When I turned around, Prince Rowan was scowling. Prince Rowan responded, "Because I told him not to. If he tells you, you'll be dead sooner or later."

Zain scowled, appearing weary of the drama he had been involved in all week. Zain begged, "Will you kindly accept the royal title so we can have a nice rest day?" I chuckled. Why do they keep insisting that I have to be a princess?

"No."

They all shouted at once. My feet were numb to the touch. I haven't eaten since the other day, and the vampire's earlier attack has reduced my mana. Before my face touched the ground after I lost my balance, I saw Zain catch me.

Zain yelled, "Your Highness! What is happening to you?" When I closed my eyes, my consciousness once more sank into a dream. Alethea yelled back, her energy as high as ever, "Welcome back, Serena!" I collapse onto her couch and go to sleep.

Alethea yelled, "How cruel! After I visited you, you only slept and did not entertain your visitor!" My stamina was low at the time, and I wasn't sure what to do because Alethea was still mad at me.

Alethea questioned, "What are you looking at? Do I have dirt on my face?" I laughed softly. "Nothing, it's just that a lot has changed over the years. Now that we have passed on in our past lives, I wonder where Xavier is, and I wonder what you will be in your next life."

I had a lot of inquiries going through my head. But right now, keeping my promise to Alethea is all that matters to me. The witches have their own words, after all. Most witches forget that they are mold of resilience and suffering.
