Chapter 40-After Three Years

Three years went by quickly, but I’m still glad that I returned to my normal life. Now that Lord Saint Lucien Ashford has granted me the opportunity to be away from the royal family, I feel that I am truly free from Eblines. I can live life on my own terms. I was picking up my ingredients for the potions as I was working as the healing witch. Sometimes they call me the Forest Witch, as my home is found in the middle of the forest here in Glaustein. My daydreaming was interrupted when I heard someone screaming for help. When I saw who it was, I gritted my teeth, but the urge to help is still here.

“Please help our Knight Grand Cross! We can’t bear to lose him!” one of his servants said.

I clenched my fist and calmed myself before I spoke, “Please lay him here in the bed. I will assess his injury.”
