Chapter 38-The Four Cardinals

It was a week after my memories returned. I felt so complete again now that my memories had returned to me. I heard from Caela, Her Highness’ colleague, that Her Highness used her newly discovered spell to travel to the realm of the gods and goddesses just to return my memories. I was standing in front of the Holy Church as I was summoned by the Cardinals. I know that Her Highness’ actions would catch the attention of the Holy Church. If a decree is released, we have no choice but to follow it. But following the Holy Church is really worth it? As I entered the chamber, I could sense the emanating tension around the room.I kneeled down and greeted the four cardinals of the Holy Church. I heard the voice coming from the upper chamber.

“Lord Zain Ashford, the great knight commander of Eblines. I heard that your memories returned in a short period of time. Tell us, what magic ritual have you done?” The third-ranked Cardinal asked.
