Chapter 23-Travel To Driuce

Today was the day of Zain's fourth regiment departure. Zain will come along. Cloud followed my advice and mixed the Prairie Coneflower with Silver Trillium. He also infused it with a lot of mana, which may have also helped the healing of the wound in just a split second. I can't believe that Cloud was an alchemist who specialized in potions. I guess it's hard to differentiate between witches, mages, alchemists, and even herbalists. I also heard that pharmacists are also compounding medicinal herbs. Thanks to this complicated world, our lives are in chaos with different beliefs.

On the other hand, Ehadris offered his help to Zain. He also told me that perhaps he would encounter mortals where the other gods and goddesses got sealed. And I? I was banned from going outside the palace after what I did last time. Nimue was still shy about confessing her feelings to Typhon. To avoid my escape in terms of following Zain and the fourth regiment of the Eblines' Knight Order, my brother, Prince Rowan, tasked the noble mages and knights of the Cardinal Order, Caileigh and Dionne, as my guards again. I still don't know why the Cardinal Order selects nobles as a guard for the Royal Family. I'm curious about Zain's mission there in Driuce. I sat down in a chair beside my room's window and they didn't even allow me to see them leave.

"I can't believe this!" I said in frustration.

Dionne and Caileigh are looking at me. Dionne let out a sigh and crossed his arms. "We know that you really want to go there badly, but you know that Lord Typhon will chase you back to the palace," Dionne said.

"I know, but I can't help but get worried about Zain and the other knights. The last time I let them go, Zain was badly injured," I said, taking a bite of the biscuit.

Dionne laughed and shook his head. Dionne said, in an annoying tone, "Now I see the reason why the Royal Court ladies are yelling at you every time I walk across the etiquette room."

I glared at Dionne and fixed myself. I don't want to return to the etiquette room. It ticks me off. A lady must act like this. A lady must act like that. Imagining myself being graceful while acting innocent really scares me. "I want to join their mission."

Our conversation was interrupted when Big Brother Rowan spoke while leaning in the doorway. He inquired, "Why do you always want to fight, Epiphany? You are living here peacefully with us. Can't you just let the knights do their job?"

I stood up and called for my wand. This will be the first time I use my wand. The day I received this wand was the day I swore that I would protect anyone from any threat. I looked at Big Brother Rowan and answered his question,"Because I am a witch. I swore to protect everyone from any threat!" I raised my wand and cast the first spell for my wand, "Aptet."

My gown transformed into a white battle dress with golden linings. "That's the Blue Rose Witch battle dress!" Caileigh shouted. I akimbo'd at them, and I saw Dionne and Caileigh's faces in shock. My eyebrows were raised in confusion. "I thought you knew that I am the Blue Rose Witch?"

They both shook their heads. I glared at Dionne, and he slowly looked in the other direction. "Don't look away from me, Dionne! You almost killed me back in Glaustein while not knowing my name?" I yelled.

Dionne pouted and answered."Yes. They said that you are the Mysterious Witch, but they didn't tell me that you are the Blue Rose Witch."

I felt that the veins in my face were tingling in annoyance. I put on my fake smile while preparing my wand. "Di-on-ne. Shall we start the banquet?" Dionne gulped and shouted in terror. "I'm so sorry!"

After an hour of stating my reasons, Big Brother Rowan finally let me join the knights, but on one condition. Caileigh and Dionne must tag along with me.

"Don't give such headaches to Zain and Ehadris. You must not make your noble guards worried," Big Brother Rowan said in a worried tone.

I akimbo'd in disbelief. "What do you think I am? A weakling? Don't worry, we will come home alive. We must take our leave now," I said in an assuring tone.

"Please be safe, my dear child," our mother said, and she hugged our father.

I bowed in the proper manner. Time is ticking. We must follow them immediately. I prepared my wand and cast a spell to catch up with them. A portal spell that will help us travel quickly.

"Nos quaerere ut det tibi votum

Tempus est currens, auxilium nobis movere

Aperi Portal ad Driuce!"

A portal that looked like a gate appeared and looked at Caileigh and Dionne. They are still surprised at the things I've done.

"Let's go!"I shouted, and we entered the portal. We are floating inside a dimension. I looked at Caileigh, who looked surprised by the scenery. "I can't believe that we are inside this dimension!" she said in astonishment.

I smiled and replied, "I got this idea from your brother, Lord Typhon. He always used a void portal to travel inside and out of the castle."

Dionne and Caileigh looked at me with confusion on their faces. "But Your Highness, Big Brother Typhon, I didn't know that he had that kind of ability," Caileigh answered in confusion. I raised my eyebrows and looked in confusion. How does she not know? Caileigh became serious, and Dionne, on the other hand, became serious. Caileigh was about to answer when Dionne answered it fast, "Because Caileigh is the unwanted child of the House of Cromwell." Having a lady as a daughter is a weakness. That is the motto of the head of the House of Cromwell."

I can't believe that there's a father like that. I looked in front of us as we saw the end of this dimension. "Luckily, this is your chance, Caileigh. You can show what you've got under your sleeves," I said, and when we exited the portal we saw smoke nearby. My sense became in panic when I saw Dionne and Caileigh in panic. I forgot they can't fly! I only fly because my battle dress has the ability to make the owner fly.

I moved my wand and caught them using big, soft floating cotton. I let out a sigh and flew in their direction. "Are you both alright?" I asked. They were breathing heavily in panic. "Are you trying to kill us?" Dionne shouted.

I scratched my scalp in embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I forgot that both of you can't fly," I answered.

"Big Brother Typhon was among the envoys! Your Highness! He will have a talk with the officials in the capital of Driuce!" Caileigh shouted.

I never thought that the fourth regiment's duty was to protect Typhon. I hid my wand and used Metamorphosis to transform it into a sniper gun. I looked through the magical scope and aimed at the target, the one who was trying to kill Typhon from the back. His back is open, unprotected because they were outnumbered. I pulled the trigger and I saw Typhon was shocked when his enemy fell from behind. Dionne and Caileigh, on the other hand, try their best to help the fourth regiment in fighting other enemies. I saw an enemy fly in my direction and try to attack me with her spear. I swiftly transformed the Metamorphosis into a scythe, and she was shocked that I deflected her attack using the scythe's blade.

"It's such a good day. Shall we start the banquet?"

Her eyes widened and she spoke in a cold but gentle voice,"You are that witch vampire hunter, aren't you?"

Sometimes, I don't know what kind of rumors are spreading across the continent about me. But this is too much! "What are you talking about?" I asked in a most pretentious way.

She crossed her arms and stared at me. "Don't act like you don't know what you've done in Driuce!" she yelled in frustration. I tried to remember what I did in the past. I remember I had many past missions in Driuce, but I don't remember getting into trouble. Then I remembered that event. I looked at her and frowned.

"Don't tell me, you're that girl!" I said in astonishment.

She attacked me swiftly, and I deflected her spears effortlessly. Why in the world do I need to meet her again here in Driuce? Caileigh looked at me and she was worried. She attacked my opponent with her holy light vortex, and my enemy fell from the sky. I akimbo'd in astonishment, and I saw her thumbing up. I saw a large-bodied man throwing a large hammer in Caileigh's direction.

"How dare you hurt my daughter?" the man shouted in a rage.

I made an eight layer shield, but the momentum of the hammer was too strong to be prevented. I saw a magic rune on the hammer. It was the rune of velocity. It has the ability to follow the target until it gets hit. I need to use a lot of mana to destroy it. I manipulated the cotton that Dionne and Caileigh had been sitting away from me. I prepared my wand and looked at the hammer. Whoever places the rune on this weapon knows that he or she is a powerful person. I must cast the spell swiftly but correctly, or else this may cost my memories, or worse, my life.

"Rogamus Creator, Stacia,

I heard Ehadris curse loudly and fly towards my direction. Tears slowly fell from my eyes. I may have cast this magic spell correctly. At least I saved Typhon's little sister and even Dionne. The clouds were cut in half due to the release of this large amount of mana between my enemies' weapons. My body was slowly disappearing before Ehadris could hold me. I looked at Ehadris while smiling.

"Tell my family that I broke my promise. I'm sorry, Methusael."

I could hear they shouted my name in unison in different name.

"Epiphany!"

"Your Highness!"

But one name is different among them all. My eyes widened when I saw Xavier from nearby. He shouted my name. "Serena!"

I guess revenge is not the solution even in this time.
