Chapter 15 That Is Just Not Enough

"The villa in Luppeop Town is a valuable property. I'll gladly accept it since Vicente has offered it to me. Besides, I've ended my relationship with Vicente, so there is no need for me to keep on wallowing in grief. I'll just assume that I've undergone an operation because of an unavoidable injury," Charlotte thought.

There had been a marked deterioration in her physical condition due to the kidney transplant operation and the miscarriage. Charlotte was then confined to bed for more than half a month after the operation. The nurses would bring her meals to her every day so that she could have them in bed.

Jack eventually called and asked Charlotte why she had been staying in New York for so long.

Charlotte was still feeling rather weak. So, she gave him the address of the hospital that she was staying at and asked Jack to come pick her up in New York.

In the afternoon, Jack arrived at the hospital.
