"Are you done talking to Peare? You were there longer than expected."

Yu Yan who was bored from waiting met her husband just near the cemetery's gate.

"En." Li Jun said a tad bit distracted as he turned Yu Yan back towards the row of cars. He wasn't sure about what the twins might do. He even expected the girls to jump up after him at any minute. Then what? How would he explain? Li Jun frowned a bit.

"So, how do you feel now?"

Yu Yan asked as she continued to walk together with him.

" It's good. Everything is good."

Li Jun had no idea what he was responding to but he just wanted to get in the car and drive away as soon as possible.

'Its not the right time yet. we need to enjoy our newly wedded life a little bit more.' Li jun thought apologetically.

He opened the car door amongst the bodyguards shuffling. And all but pushed his wife up into the SUV.

"What's gotten into you?" Yu Yan laughed a little puzzled. " It's like you've seen a ghost," Yu said then stopped.

when she did not get a response she asked again with excitement.

"Well, did you? I mean, did you see a ghost?" Yu Yan said suddenly excited. She would love to hear about it, if so.

Li Jun looked towards her, finally giving her his attention as the car sped off.

"Yeah, Peare came to me. He said he had become a vengeful virgin ghost now and he will be going off on a little scaring spree very soon." Li Jun smiled and tousled his silly wife's hair.

Yu Yan grinned and slapped him playfully.

"You lie."

" hahaha. You are the one who believes in unreasonable things like ghosts."

Li Jun grabbed her cold hands and began to rub it against his warm ones.

"But you made fun of Peare. That's not very nice. We owe him a lot." Yu Yan scolded gently, leaning on his shoulder.

Li Jun hummed in response. Not wanting to talk about it any further.

"Are the people who killed Peare still in jail?" Yu Yan leaned in closer, comforting him and herself. So much had happened since Peare passed away.

"Yeah." Li Jun did not tell her the truth. He had already said too much on the day he had gone to find her in his confused self.

" They deserve it, Jun. Peare was such a selfless guy." Yu Yan said softly about the man who had always followed Li Jun like a shadow but barely saying any words.

The old bodyguard had died protecting her husband exactly a year ago. She clearly remembered Li Jun sitting near her apartment in the dark. He still had had speckles of blood on his beige coat... it was Peare's blood.

He hadn't spoken and when he finally did he had only said that Peare had died protecting him.

That was the day their relationship took a huge step forward in Yu Yan's eyes and she had truly wanted to be there for him.

The man who had everything in life had gone to her in his darkest hours and seeking her comfort and love. She counted that as something.

His devastation on that day had been evident in his wild, tearless eyes.

The first she had seen him so. He might have acted like he was okay afterwards and maybe even now but she knew that he was far from getting over it.

Li Jun was a pitiful person too despite the glamorous life he lived and he deserved everything after all the sacrifices he had made thus far.

She would never forgive herself if she stood in his way.

BACK AT HOME.

"What's this?" Li Jun asked in amazement.

"hehe. Do you like it? It's my Christmas present to you.." Yu Yan laughed but could not hide the subtle anxiety from her voice. Did he like the gift? She hoped so.

It's an ugly black dog. He thought.

"How weird and familiar." Li Jun knelt down in his living room and began stroking the small puppy with a cute pink bow on it's neck."

"So you like it?" Yu Yan knew from the way Li Jun behaved that he wasn't displeased with her gift.

"I got him from a shop recommended by sister in law. I placed the order a month ago and I asked the Butler to pick it up this morning."

Yu Yan didn't mention that the dog was super expensive. He cost more than gold. That shop was too expensive for her taste. How can a dog cost so much? She did not understand.

"This dog is very similar with the dog I had before during my childhood. My father gave me a similar one." Li Jun looked up at his wife a hint of puzzlement in his eyes.

"En, I know." She nodded. "I saw it in one of your childhood photos and I asked sister in law about it. So, you like it or don't like it after all?" Yu yan was apprehensive. Did she make a mistake in choosing an identical dog from his past? Maybe she should have gotten a different one? But he needed a pet to keep him company, afterall...

Li Jun was silent for a long minute, just staring at the black dog.

"I really like it."

Li Jun said not understanding the sudden feeling in his heart. His father had given him a dog very similar to this one when he was only a child. Unfortunately that old dog had being murdered by a mafia boss to threaten him. It didn't work out too well for that particular mafia boss.

The mafia boss was Shin's notorious father.

Suddenly, the small pup began to jump around him, trying to tackle it's leash. Li Jun became oddly agitated.

It was uncomfortable .. but pleasant.

"Really? " Yu Yan asked again. She looked on worriedly as Li Jun robotically petted the small puppy jumping around him.

'Well at least the puppy seems to like him' she thought.

"I like it." Li Jun smiled and said again.

"The you will have to take care of it well in the future." Yu Yan calmed her nerves down and smiled down lovingly at Li Jun.

When she had first decided to get a dog for Christmas months ago, she did not have any other thoughts in her mind. But now..

Suddenly, Li Jun stood up and grabbed Yu Yan, startling her with a forceful kiss on her lips.

When he let go, Yu Yan was flushed and a little breathless.

He wanted but decided against going any further and only let go when he remembered the cameras in this lounge room.

Why did he need to put cameras everywhere? He thought regretfully.

" I love your gift." Li Jun said it in a hoarse whisper near her ear. "I really do."

" En" Yu Yan blushed and smiled.

"You need to raise it well okay?. You cannot just abandon it midway if it gets sick or troublesome." Yu Yan said sternly again.

"Okay wife. Let's raise it well together. It will be kind of a practice before you give birth in the future." Li Jun said dropping a kiss on top of her hair.

Yu Yan smiled sadly and closed her eyes leaning into him.

"Let's go to bed and try to make babies." Li Jun straight away began to lead her out of the room with complete video surveillance.

"Wait! The puppy Jun." Yu Yan screamed.

" The servants will take care of him." The bedroom voice was all too clear.

Li Jun gave an order after calling a servant over.

"Ah! Its so bright right now. What about lunch?". Yu Yan tried in vain to break free from his clutches. He really was too much.

" It wouldn't take long." Li Jun did not listen.

" You always say that." Yu Yan complained.

"It's true this time." He bantered while still walking purposefully.

"You always say that too!" She pouted while getting pulled behind him.

"Shhh! or the servants will hear and know what we are about to do." Li Jun teased.

Yu Yan grimaced.

"If you take too long, I am seriously going to be mad this time. Mother in law especially made a call and asked me to bring you on time to the party. She said very important people are coming tonight." Yu Yan scolded again.

"I know. And we wouldn't be late. It's still early now." Li Jun acted like he was looking at his watch. "I will let you go before the party tonight."

"The elder's party is at 8 pm." She yelled. She would die from hunger and exhaustion by then.

"Shhh.." Li Jun made a gesture and laughed happily. " We will take food breaks. You just be obedient now. It's Christmas and your gift was too cheap." He laughed and entered their bedroom with a grumbling, Yu Yan, in tow.

The door closed and then clicked.
