I Might Consider You

"Ahh...."

She sighed while plopped herself into the bed.

"Finally, my dear. I got to meet you~" she said smiling dreamily, while patting and running her palm on the mattress of the bed.

Since she took over the Ramirez Corporation, she's been kind of busy lately. Because the company was in the verge of death, it need delicate care from their owner. Thankfully, Daniella was one to learn fast. Within a week now, she sort of have grasped ways to manage the company mostly. With the help of Mr Cameron, father's secretary before, she was sure the company can be build back with taller and magnificent excellency.

Daniel was helping her, and he too was the one to learn fast. So, together, they try to return their father's possession to their truthfully place.But of course, yes, something like this need time.

When she thinking freely like this, no more occupied with work to grab her attention, her mind wander elsewhere. She sometimes would remember certain pair of gold eyes, shining and staring back at her. And then, her heart will do that flip flap, and she would grin foolishly.

Everytime it happened, she would snapped out of her trance and asked herself, what in the world was she doing? Daydreaming about a guy? Usually, guys are the hardest to attract Daniella's attention because she always thought that love is not something important.

But now, it's different. Maybe because of the mate bond? She have studied it earlier, and now she know. The only thing that remains, she need to test it to find out if it was really the truth and exist.

She tapped her foot impatiently. Ahh, she hates waiting. Minus to the man.

She continue on her phone, sort out solutions for the upcoming event. She needs to attend it, for she can maybe gain a couple of investors through it. This is her first biggest project, and she need supports as many as impossible. Of course it would be harder for her, cause she only eighteen and people didn't trust her, especially the 50s above CEOs.

"I'm sorry, I was late.Traffic." a deep but smooth voice booming in her ears. She tilted up her head with brows creased, ready to let out her feeling of annoyed before but stop dead in her track. The moment she looked at his face, something soothing caresses her soul, making her anger faded.

"Hm. It's okay. Its been only five minutes." she spoke the truth. If this is another man, she would immediately dumped him after waiting for one minute longer. She really hates to wait.

"So, why did you want to meet me? Is it because you have made the decision?" he couldn't help his face from lighting up.

She put down her phone. "It's been only a few days, and I think it was enough for me to make this decision. I'm sorry but I can't accept this." she informed sternly.

His face immediately dropped, the corners of his mouth turned down as he furrowed his brows.

"Why?" it came out a little quieter than usual. His eyes dropped low, looking at her with hurt flashed in his eyes.

Unintentionally, she have rejected her own mate, and it was something really unbelievable to even imagine. Mate is your soul mate, your other half. And something like this is rare to happen.

Noticing his disappointment, she couldn't help but bit her lower lip. Her heart tugged strangely at the sight of him so sad. She somehow couldn't see he sad. She feels the need to coo him to smile again.

So, without thinking, she blurted out, "I might consider you as my mate—" his head snapped up, "—but under one condition."

"You—", she points her forefinger to him, "need to do something with your status."

"My status?"

"Yes. Since you are no longer a Prince, that's mean you are... nothing now, right?"

Ouch.

He slowly nodded.

"You know, if we were in other situation, I don't care actually if my man is truly nothing and poor. As long as he loves me, I will gladly accept him." his heart flutter on the word 'my man'. "But now I need someone powerful by my side, someone who is not easily can be a target of my enemies. I have reputation too, you know. As a Ramirez, people would expect me to partner up with someone in the same level. Actually, YOU ARE in the same level, but you still need to strengthen your power, alright? "she explained, looking at him.

" So, you don't reject me? "he asked carefully.

" What? No! "she ponder a bit before realization hit her." Oh, no! That's not actually what I mean! I meant to give us time, not directly rejecting you!That's terrible! I'm sorry!"she frantically explained herself, waving her hands in denial.

He chuckled lowly, looking at her all flustered. Deep down, he sighed in relief, because rejection by your mate is the worst thing to happen for a werewolf.

" But, I need to confirm something." she said, mischief dancing in her eyes.

"W-what are y-you doing?" Xavier panicked, when she suddenly so close to him, invading his personal space.

They are now in Daniella's apartment, since she said its only can be done in somewhere quite and isolated. Daniel was out, going somewhere.

"I told you I need to confirm something." it came out as a whisper since she is close to his ear. But in Xavier's ears, she sounded sly and seductive.

"C-can you do it from afar?" he cleared his throat. Suddenly it felt dry. And he, stammered? That's impossible! He don't do stammer!

"Shh.." she shushed him, placing her finger on his lips. Something sparks where she touched, setting both of them on fire.

She intended to test the mate bond,if she really only attracted to him. And so far, it works.

She placed each hands on his shoulders, and it automatically relax beneath her touch. She put a little pressure, indicating him to sit on the living room sofa.

She then lowers herself and.....

Straddling him.

His breath hitched, as he looks at her with hooded eyes. This woman, is she know what she was doing now?She practically.... seducing him right now.

His hands automatically went to her slimmed waist when she put her arms around his neck.

Both looking at each other intensely.

"You...what are you doing?" his voice is husky.

"I told you," she breathed, "I have to confirm something..."

The space between them decreased, as both leaning closer to each other, ready to give in to the bond that have tied them together.

Her lips was only a breath from his, as they now breath in the same air. Just a little movement, and they will connect.
