Excerpt "We might be married but I am not going to sleep in the same room with you," Sage said, gritting her teeth. A smile tugged his lips. "Is that so?" He asked and placed his leg on top of the other. Sage frowned deeply. "Yes," She drawled, clenched her fists which busted out raging flames of fire. "I am going to sleep here, with you." Cyrus said calmly and stood up walking towards her slowly. Sage couldn't deny that she was scared but she wasn't going to let her fear get the best of her. "Don't come closer!" "Why?" Me and only me

"Never!" Sage laughed hysterically.

Cyrus chuckled and stroked her marked neck while saying, "Too bad. It will be so sexy to have you beg me," She slapped his hand away as he clicked his tongue.

"Cyrus!" She called frantically

"Hate turns to lust. I made the mark disappear, but when your hatred grew, it caused the mark to reappear, so I am powerless to make it go away and you must now put up with the mark." Cyrus spoke unbothered.

Sage froze in disbelief.

Cyrus laughed and said, "Too bad," before releasing and taking her in his arms.

Sage didn't resist because it was pointless to do so, especially given how she felt strongly attracted to him.

Until they reached his chamber, she curled her arms softly around her neck and shut her eyes.

She was gently seated on the bed by Cyrus, who then sat next to her and looked at her as if he were looking for the depths of her soul. When she opened her eyes, he scowled.

"Did you lay with him?" Cyrus shamelessly interrogated.

"Stop talking about that!" Sage shouted in embarrassment.

"Answer me." Cyrus seethed.

Sage stared at him fiercely and replied sternly, "No!"

"But he touched you?" Cyrus asked this time calmly.

"There is something happening that is much more important than this, Cyrus Dragos," Sage didn't understand why he was so interested in who laid with her, who touched her, he was very annoying.

"Indeed, but not the mark of lust because it has a cure and you just need to think, that is if you have the brain to do so." Cyrus taunted.

Sage's eyes flickered with rage. She wanted to burn him to ashes, but she was incredibly weak, and the mark of lust was to blame for that.

Seeing her looking pale and breathless, Cyrus breathed, "Resentment..." He paused and pushed her by her forehead as a sign for her to lay on the bed. "Resentment takes a lot of energy, dear parrot," He sighed.

"Which is why I am weak?" Sage mumbled, Cyrus nodded in response.

"You are terrible at this." Cyrus chuckled as he observed how weak and innocent she appeared as she lay on the bed and fixed her lust-filled eyes on him.

"Terrible at what?" Sage inquired puzzledly.

Cyrus smiled, a smile that fully brought out his dimples.

Sage couldn't help but admire him because of his adorable smile but his next words,

"Drastically dumb parrot."

Sage scowled and groaned as the feeling of being drawn to him grew.

"You married me to kill me but I am not dead yet and you are the so called powerful fire mage." Cyrus taunted.

"No one calls me that," Sage tsked.

"Oh, you admit that you are not powerful?" Cyrus chuckled earning a even deeper frown from Sage.

"What are you talking about?" Sage questioned impatiently.

"In a hurry are we not?" Cyrus asked stood up and hovered over her with his face close to his, his breath fanning her face. "If you want to kill me, do it properly." He revealed.

Sage's eyes widened. Her mind turning blank because of how close they were, her heart beating wildly.

"What?" Sage was confused.

Cyrus shook his head at the dumb parrot. "I have no problem, I have a selected time to kill you which is in two months time and do not think that I won't stand on my words when I say that you will bear my child."

"How can I bear your child when you will kill me in two months time?" Sage mocked.

"Times can change," Cyrus hissed.

Sage didn't understand that statement of his.

Cyrus shook his head in disappointment. "Weak, pathetic, slow, foul mouth yet you are interesting." He purred and titled his head to the side. "You have fallen into a trap and that trap is me and my world." He continued.

"What?" Sage asked curiously.

"I told you I do not like repeating myself but only for this time." Cyrus grumbled.

"You married me to kill me, the last ice dragon, the one who brought the eternal winter, gibberish gibberish gibberish," He groaned lazily which made Sage stared at him in complete surprise because he used the exact same tone he use before.

"Where is this heading to?" Sage asked curiously.

"Firstly, I have never attacked your kingdom. Secondly, You are just a pawn for Esteban and it is very sad. Thirdly, you are an obstacle that they all want, cleared away."

Sage blinked rapidly wanting to feel guilt but lust only increased.

"I have started this and I would like to finish it whether I am a pawn or not." Sage voiced confidently.

Her spine tingled as Cyrus let out a menacing laugh, and because it was so seductive, she felt aroused by him.

He paused his laughter and glared at her as his eyes turned into their silver reptile like form. "Kill me, get rid of the eternal winter, the Firerian dragons will leave your kingdom and your kingdom will be safe." He laughed again and added, "That is your mindset and it is awfully pathetic."

His words made Sage realise that she had entered a whole new world that was highly different from her bright and love filled home.

"Cyrus Dragos, do not underestimate me." Sage muttered with a whimper of want.

"You are too weak to bicker with me." Cyrus taunted.

"Kiss me till I fall asleep." Sage said to him shamelessly.

Cyrus caressed his nose against hers. "You are taking so much of my time dear parrot, do you know why?" He whispered and pecked her lips.

Sage groaned and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"You are my prey, my wife, you are mine and I want your head to be filled with me and only me." He crashed his lips on hers and caught her lower lip sucking it slowly.

"Impossible." Sage murmured with a moan.

"There is nothing impossible when I am in your life dear parrot," He slammed his lips against hers and she parted, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. She felt her breasts swell and the dampness between her legs as he gave her an intense kiss that left her gasping for air.

"No mo..re!" Sage's voice shook but her body was dancing to his tones.

He broke off the kiss when she tried to scream, gazing at her with ice blue, lust-filled eyes.

He kissed her chin and purred, "Dream about me, me and only me." He then flicked her forehead rendering her unconscious.
