Excerpt "We might be married but I am not going to sleep in the same room with you," Sage said, gritting her teeth. A smile tugged his lips. "Is that so?" He asked and placed his leg on top of the other. Sage frowned deeply. "Yes," She drawled, clenched her fists which busted out raging flames of fire. "I am going to sleep here, with you." Cyrus said calmly and stood up walking towards her slowly. Sage couldn't deny that she was scared but she wasn't going to let her fear get the best of her. "Don't come closer!" "Why?" "W.. What do you mean by that? Let me go!" Sage screamed on top of her lungs.

His large body covered her small form, his handsome face was perilously close to hers, and his chilly hands intertwined with hers to bind her to the bed.

Sage gasped as she became more aware of his hands' growing coolness. He had frigid hands, and she felt as though her energy was being sucked by them.

"W.. what are you doing?!" Sage screamed shutting her eyes and struggling, moving her body violently.

"I do not like repeating myself," His voice sounded sinister.

Sage's body froze in fear. She tried to use her powers but she could not feel or do anything, not even a spark of fire appeared.

When she opened her eyes, she saw something in those keen, silver reptile like eyes of Cyrus'. She couldn't put her finger on it, but she felt right away that she was in grave danger. Her husband was indeed dangerous and she began to regret every decision she had ever made in her life.

Feeling a sting in the scar on her palm, she whimpered and raised her head in anguish.

"I do not like force," Cyrus hissed seductively and kissed her jaw.

Her body felt like it was been electrocuted.

She did not expect that. Never in her life had felt the way she was feeling at the moment.

"You will give in," His cold breath fanned her jaw and his lips trailed around her jawline.

"Stop.. stop it," Sage wanted to scream but her words came out barely whispers.

"No..." Cyrus trailed as his lips arrived at her neck, kissing and sucking until her mind went blank. "Your body wants me," He said and slowly dug his dragon canines into her neck earning a scream of pain from her. "I will make you yearn for me and at the end," He continued and dug his canines deeper, and released her hands.

This time Sage's scream was louder, she grabbed his shirt unconsciously pulling him closer to her.

Cyrus pulled away and licked her neck smiling against her skin as she shivered. He could tell that she was weak as hell and was aware that she would be in that condition for up to a month because he had done something he shouldn't have done.

"At the end fire mage, I will tear you apart myself." He continued with a growl.

He looked at her face to see her eyes closed and the grip she had on his shirt tightened.

"W.. what have you done?" Sage asked with a weak whisper, her lips barely moving.

"Rest well," He whispered, bit her neck again at the exact same spot he bit her before this time deeper than ever that Sage couldn't let out a scream but fall unconscious.

He once again pulled away licking the traces of blood on his red lips.

His eyes narrowed Sage who had become paler than usual.

The bite mark at the side of her neck was deep and bloody. It was not a vampire's bite mark nor was it a werewolf and demon bite mark, it was a dragon bite mark.

"Mark of mine," He muttered with a soft hiss focusing his gaze on Sage.

Although dragons were capable of biting their lovers in order to claim them, just like other supernatural beings like vampires, werewolves, and demons, the mark he had left on Sage's neck was not a typical mark. Sage's animosity for him would be under his control thanks to the mark he had implanted, and it would become lust. She would lust after him more intensely the more she despised him, which would make obtaining her life source quicker and simpler.

"Your arrogance brought this, parrot," He chuckled, released her and got off the bed.

...

"Your Majesty!" Ava called behind the door waking up Sage from her deep dreamless slumber.

Sage groaned in pain rubbing her sore neck and when she remembered what had happened the previous night, her eyes widened in panic.

"My neck!" She screamed, jumped off the bed and ran towards the mirror that was at the corner of the room to check her neck.

There was no scar!

"How is this possible?!" Sage exclaimed not putting the thought that what happened was a dream in her head.

"My queen!" She heard Ava called, knocking the door.

Sage turned to the door and when her lips parted, her sight blurred and she felt dizzy.

Shaking her head, she took wobbling steps towards the bed and sat on it.

"Come in," She groaned rubbing her forehead and Ava opened the door looking like she had seen a ghost.

"His Majesty is having breakfast with everyone and requests for your presence at the table!" Ava informed heaving for air.

Sage, who didn't understand why Ava was terrified and dramatic, sighed deeply and asked,

"Why is this important?"

"His Majesty has not eaten on the dinning room for a long time. It is so sudden and... And he asked me to bring you to the dinning room." Ava explained, ended her words nervously.

Sage's head felt heavy, she didn't utter anything to Ava and felt weak as hell.

'He bit me.. why?' She kept asking her thoughts continuously.

In no time, Sage was dressed up from the day. As Ava brushed her hair, Sage kept staring at her neck's reflection and kept rubbing it.

Ava, who noticed this became curious but chose not to say anything.

They arrived at the dinning room which was quiet and the people present were Duchess Charlotte, Duke Sergio, Mirabella, Isabella and Cyrus who had his cold eyes on Isabella who kept blushing at him.

Sage saw this and wanted to scoff at him saying that he was pathetic but she began to feel strange... Drawn to him.

"Do not look at her, look at me!" She half yelled earning a twitch on Cyrus's lips.

Isabella's eyes widened in shock.

"What?" Isabella asked offended.

"Hm," Sergio nodded, his blue eyes glistening with curiosity.

Mirabella who was focused on her food had her eyebrows raised up in surprise while Charlotte looked as curious as Sergio.

"Pleasant morning?" Cyrus asked calmly and glanced at Sage.

Sage didn't know what was wrong with her. Fighting the strange feeling, her eyes turned rage fiery red, she dashed towards him leaning her face close to his.

"What did you do to me?!" She asked furiously.

"Yes love, detest me." Cyrus whispered seductively, smiling deviously as Sage frowned deeply.

If frowning could kill, she would have succeeded in killing him at that moment.

"You.." Sage paused widening her eyes in surprise as the strange feeling of being drawn to him increased and before she could control herself, she crashed her lips on Cyrus's lips.
