Charlotte could never accept the abuse and harassment she got from her ex-husband. She wanted to call her lawyer and send her husband to prison, but the man sent her a video of the long night they shared. In the video, she could hear herself drown in the illusion of the drug, which made her beg for more pain.

'I want to kill that bastard!'

Tears welled from her eyes as she washed herself in the bathtub. If this video explodes, the company she built will collapse and cease to exist, and thousands of employees will be affected. She couldn't swallow this breath, but she could only endure it.

It took her a couple of days to adjust to the crimes committed by her husband to her.

'Karma will hunt him sooner or later.'

The days passed by with Charlotte in a daze. She thought her life would return to normal, but she caught the news about his ex-husband's new wife getting pregnant. 'What a liar!'

Then, one night, someone barged into her room and pinned her on the bed.

"Did you miss me, my darling?"

The smell of strong liquor lingered in the air. Charlotte felt suffocated, but the man was too heavy for her to push away.

Charlotte could not believe that David had the capability to open her door. She fought with him, but the man physically abused her this time. She could only cry, exhausted, and let the man do whatever he wanted in the end.

Then, she was left naked the next day.

'I want to kill him!'

These events did not occur twice or thrice.

'I hope I can escape from his surveillance.'

One day, Charlotte decided to visit the hospital and take this as an opportunity to flee. A gut feeling told her to halt the plan as she was driving to the hospital. But she did not listen to what her gut tells her.

The rain started to pour heavily, and the moisture on the glass made it difficult for her to see the road clearly. She wiped the glass as she prayed to arrive safely. But when the traffic light signaled a go, a massive dump truck crashed into her car. The impact was so big that even her car's airbag could not save her from the shock.

'What happened?'

Charlotte suddenly saw people getting busy around her. The loud blaring of sirens echoed in the middle of the road. The police were also investigating the scene of the accident, but the driver of the dump truck had a cardiac arrest and died before her.

'Is that me?'

Charlotte stood at a distance as she observed the doctors give first aid to her blood-covered body.

'Did I die just like that?'

A man dressed in black appeared beside her. Even though he wore a cap and a mask, Charlotte could still identify her ex-husband. She suddenly heard him say, "Good thing that bitch was finally gone! My children can now inherit the company." Then he laughed sinisterly and left.

'He was the fucking mastermind of my accident?'

Charlotte's aura as a soul changed from white to purple.

The hatred deep within her made her take a poisonous oath.

"I, Charlotte Martins, swore a deadly oath to avenge my death in exchange for my soul's merits. If I were to breathe another life, I would kill the bastard who caused me endless pain!"

The sky thundered, and the crowd rushed to leave the scene.

The doctor proclaimed Charlotte's time of death.

She saw how they covered her body in a white cloth.

But this time, Charlotte's consciousness as a soul also vanished.

'Hmm.'

The stinging pain in her head awakened Charlotte. When she opened her eyes, the unfamiliar ceiling greeted her. She could clearly identify the room's cost with the sun's light passing on the window.

'Where am I?'

Memories that did not belong to her flooded her mind. The pain made her shout in despair. The door of her room opened as doctors rushed in. A boy around six years old also followed with the crowd. However, Charlotte did not even notice any medical equipment in her room.

Tears welled in her eyes.

One of the doctors decided to inject a drug that would calm her nerves, and she fell asleep shortly.

'Where am I? Did I enter someone else's body?'

Charlotte felt incredible when she found out the identity of the woman.

'Charlotte Magnus! I entered a character in a book I loved to read before!'

Charlotte Magnus, a lady from a noble family who became a crazy supporting role, supported her cousin in chasing the male lead and ruining the female lead.

She used to be an intelligent child pampered by her parents, who were great scientists in the country. But they died in an accident, and she was left with nothing but an inheritance and an arranged marriage to a psychopath villain.

She hated her husband's indifference so much. She did not hate their son, but she avoided seeing him. All the troubles that her cousin created fell on her head, and so the male lead hated her. The male lead thought it was she who was obsessed with him and made every plan to ruin his relationship with the female lead.

Charlotte sighed. She longed to have a child, and fate gave it to her this time.

'Maybe it's best to pretend that I had an amnesia.'

The original Charlotte Magnus was caught in an accident the same day as her but in another city. Her car was also damaged to a certain extent, yet she luckily survived. The doctors also treated her case as a miracle because her body only showed minimal scratches, no wounds or bruises.

But she fell into a coma.

'How can the author write a book with characters based on real-life people?'

With Charlotte Magnus's memories, she could deduce that her husband was not indifferent. 'If Alexander Magnus was indifferent, why would he appear by Charlotte's side when they were miles apart on the day she got into an accident? Before she fell into a coma, she even saw his worried face.'

Charlotte sighed, 'What a lucky woman! Maybe a marriage with a psychopath villain is not so bad.'

When Charlotte awakened the next morning, she saw a little boy sleeping beside her with his hands holding hers. A deep emotion of motherhood filled her heart. She tried to rub his head with her other hand.

'Louis Magnus, what a beautiful name. He will be my child from now on.'
