BATTLE OF MOM AND SON

"Mommy, mommy." Apostle Aondofa Daniel entered his mom's room greeting as he fell by her bedside.

"Mom," He called out to her, placed his right palm over her head and began to inquire why she had not waken up.

"You look stressed. Are you sure you slept last night?" He asked.

"Mm, Mrs Anee Mbazedan Roseline yawned and turned to him, taking hold of his left arm.

"I spent the night praying." She said simply with a gloomy face.

"Mom, something is bothering you. Is it about me?" He inquired and continued without waiting for her to say a word.

"Okay, about yesterday - the dream, the way I spoke to you and left for my room, I had a call which took off some time. By the time I was out, you and Benjamin had already fallen asleep. I am sorry Mommy." He apologized.

"It's alright.

Did you eat your food before sleeping?" She asked.

"Yes, I ate a little from the dining and went to bed.

I have been waiting for you this morning before leaving for office but I became worried when you were still asleep." He responded.

"So tell me my son, who have you fallen in love with?" She asked staring into his face.

"Mommy na, falling in love? Nobody..."

"No!" Mom came in.

"You spent nothing less than five hours on the phone yesterday. You couldn't even think of us. This is unlike you. Such behaviors only happen when a young man or woman falls in love. My problem is that such feelings doesn't last before they become sour." Mrs Anee Mbazedan Roseline cautioned.

"Ok mom, you always have your way of winning me.

There is this lady I mate in Portharcourt - the meeting I returned from yesterday." He said quietly with his head a little bit burried.

"Portharcourt again?

Is same Portharcourt your friend Pastor Simon married from that I don't understand him again." She yelled a bit.

"Ah ah, mommy, what are you saying? You are sounding harsh.

"No my son, I am not.

Remember two of your step brothers are married from Portharcourt and are doing well. Portharcourt is a blessed place with great people.

But it seems you have forgotten so sudden the revelation I had about you.

Do you remember it?" She paused and asked him.

"Mmm, yes Mommy I remember." He answered.

"Oya tell me what you remember about it so I know we are heading the same direction." She persuaded.

"Five years back, you told me a revelation where you saw mighty serpents rising from a sea in Portharcourt and traveling their heads around the world.

Among the serpents was one so huge that could not be held by man. It reaches out its head and swallowed me up." Apostle Aondofa Daniel enumerated.

"And I didn't stop at that when I explained the revelation to you. The Lord revealed to me in that same encounter that the sons of and daughters of men whom he has called as watchers have fallen asleep in the city of Portharcourt hence the enemy has come in and taking hold of it.

Sometime back, I had similar revelation about James, a brother in local church back home. I told him that there was a serpent waiting for him in Makurdi to destroy him. It wasn't up to a month he traveled to Makurdi to sleep with a young lady in a hotel and he died at the spot without coming out alive."

"But mommy I am not going to sleep with anybody. I only told you I saw a young lady in Portharcourt during my meeting." Apostle Aondofa Daniel defended.

"Understand what I am saying son!" Mom yelled.

"You are a man of the spirit but sometimes I am disheartened when you express so much Ignorance and insensitivity regarding the things of marriage.

This is why the enemy is coming in through this angle.

You are blunt when it comes to relationship and the things that concerns marriage." Mom expressed her anger.

"Mommy are you saying all I have helped to become better in their relationship and marriages comes as a result of my ignorance to the things of relationship and marriage?" He asked - anger visibly dancing on his face.

By now Mrs Anee Mbazedan Roseline was on a sitting position on the bed.

As the two spoke on, his phone began to ring. It was Pamela calling.

Mrs Anee Mbazedan Roseline picked the phone on the bed where he had dropped it and tried handing it over to him.

He collected it calmly, ended the call and stuck the phone into his pocket.

"Hmm, is that her name? Pamela."She said and moved close to him.

"My son, are you not seeing all of these? It is visible everywhere.

I wonder if you have taken time to examine what is happening with your friend Pastor Simon. He is happily married but his ministry is going down. Everyone is talking about it.

When you told me about his marriage and the two of you visited me, I was not settled about it in my spirit. Yet I couldn't stand against it.

I told you before, the enemy is coming through the angle of marriage to destroy the good testimony the Lord is giving in your life.

Esther is from Portharcourt too.

If I have not informed you before, that is your wife. I will not be in agreement with what my spirit is not in agreement with. That girl Pamela is not the bone of your bone.

You met her just yesterday and we two are already having problems about her."

"Mom you don't even want to listen to me. You keep talking of Esther. What if she is doing all of the commitment just to get through to me?"

"No my son, I have seen revelations of you and her together. I have only waited this long to hear from you because it is not my duty to tell my son who to marry but the person he is bringing must earn my conviction, because marriage is not a child's play.

Getting into wrong marriages can bring to a disastrous end whatever the Lord is using you for." Mrs Anee Mbazedan Roseline enlightened.

As the two spoke on, his phone kept ringing and causing interruptions.

"Mom I will pray about Pamela. Please give me sometimes to pray about her.

As for Pastor Simon, I don't know what you have seen but I have visited him severally. He is having a happy home, married to one to the most beautiful women." He reviewed.

"And that is where you are always missing it. Your problem is beauty and elegance. It is not so my son. Beauty is not a thing to consider when choosing who to marry. You must ask the Lord for his will.

As for Pastor Simon, I am praying him same as I am praying for you and Victor.

You three have grown from childhood friendship. The union is strong and I'm proud each time you three address me as mother.

I monitor everyone of you on my knees in Intercession. There are things I know about you three and all that are on my prayer list that you yourself don't know.

I have felt a spiritual coldness since the inception of pastor Simon's marriage with Vivian.

He is in a trap which I can not rightly identify but I know with time that siege will be broken off him.

I don't want you to make a mistake in marriage. That is the reason why I am always speaking to you this wise.

Anointing differs from wisdom. You are heavily anointed my son, that I know. that Lord has used you to do strange acts of wonders locally and internationally but you need to act in wisdom. You need to be extremely careful otherwise the enemy will see to your downfall." She concluded and stood up to leave the room.

"Thank you mummy. I am sorry if I seemed to have exchanged words with you. I will think carefully about what you have said and most importantly commit all to prayer." Apostle Aondofa Daniel said and worked out to the dining table where Benjamin had already served him breakfast.

He ate quietly.

When he as done, the driver drove him to the church with police escort.

On his way, he called Pamela and apologized for failing to pick her call.

The two discussed on until he got to church.

Part of his plans was to call pastor Raphael and inquire about Pamela since she was a member of his church.

After that, he would also inform Pastor Simon about that - but maybe he would hold brake on that depending the outcome from pastor Raphael.

To the Lord's Apostle, it was a difficult thing to see the living sketch which he had waited for years and let it go just like that - such brought him great worries.

When he got to the office, he phoned Pastor Raphael.

He inquired about a girl named Pamela in his church but Pastor Raphael sounded strange as regarding anybody like that.

"Apostle sir, I have not for once seeing such a person in the church before, neither is there a name of such.

Maybe she attended the meeting for the first time.

But I will sure do an investigation from the church registry if there is any record of such." He informed

Apostle Aondofa Daniel appreciated him and hung the call, his thoughts traveling far and wide.

All through his stay in the office that day, he could not perfectly attend to duties because he had an unsettled mind - he knew he had battles to fight if Pamela was the woman to marry.
