1 The Wedding

The enormous ballroom was adorned with opulence and grandeur, a sight that would leave anyone in awe. Crystal chandeliers, suspended from the soaring ceiling, emitted a soft glow, casting an ethereal ambiance across the room. The sound of lively music reverberated off the walls, filling the air with an enchanting melody.

As Sarah's eyes scanned the room, she witnessed a myriad of elegant figures gracefully gliding across the polished marble floor. Each person was dressed extravagantly, their attire reflecting their noble status. Dukes donned embroidered coats adorned with intricate golden threads, while princesses wore resplendent gowns that cascaded in layers, showcasing hues of vibrant colors.

Kings and queens, regal and dignified, commanded attention as they mingled among their subjects. Their presence exuded authority and power, evident in their elaborate robes woven with precious materials and studded with gemstones. Princes exhibited a refined charm, their attire a seamless blend of sophistication and masculinity.

The atmosphere teemed with lively conversations, laughter, and genteel manners. The murmurs of intrigue and political discourse wafted through the air as nobles engaged in animated discussions.

Sounds of footsteps and clicking glasses were also heard, but among everyone only one person seemed irritated by everything.

Angrily, leaving the ballroom, Camellia quickly went upstairs and turned a deaf ear to the calls of her mother.

Today was the wedding of her twin sister, but it wasn't what we would call a happy event.

Instead, it would mean the beginning of pain and hell for her.

She entered a room and as she looked ahead, she saw her.

She saw her sister Sarah staring at her reflection as she was seated in front of her dressing table.

Seeing her, Camellia walked towards her slowly and bent down.

Camellia, "Please don't do this Sarah.....if you don't love him, then don't marry him."

Sarah smiled warmly and placed her hands on camellia's shoulder to rise her up.

Sarah, "stop this camellia…. Although I don't wish to marry him, it's something that I can't refuse."

Camellia, "But what about Austin…. don't you love him."

Hearing that, tears started to fall from Sarah's eyes, but she cleaned it immediately, "I Miss him a lot....but it's our destiny to be apart, If I don't get married to the monarch…I Will not just disobey the emperor, I will also ruin our family and kingdom."

Hearing that, Camellia Burst into tears, "But it's not fair…you love one another, you two can't separate."

Sarah, "I guess it's all for the best."

Camellia, "No! You can't give up like this….is there anything I can do, just tell me… I'll help in any way I can."

Taking some time to think, Sarah finally said, "There is something I Want to do….and I need your help to be able to do it."

Hearing that, Camellia brightened up a little, "Tell me…and I'll help you with anything."

Hesitating a little, Sarah finally said, "I want to see Austin for one last time…. I just want to tell him how much I love him and that I'll always love him…. I want to say goodbye and wish him all the best. But I can't do that without your help."

Hearing that, Camellia already knew what her sister meant.

Camellia agreed to help her sister and they swished clothes.

Sarah wore Camellia's outfit, and Camellia wore Sarah's wedding dress.

She then hugged her sister as Sarah left through a secret tunnel that linked outside the palace.

With her pretending to be her sister, Camellia quickly maintained Sarah's position In case someone came in unexpectedly.

They were identical twins, so no one was able to tear them apart.

Since they were little, they had always switched personalities to help one another.

And just like the old days, they had done it again. But this time it wasn't for anything naughty or mischievous.

Camellia sat down on the dressing stool and then calmly waited for her sister.

But a few seconds turned to minutes, and from minutes to hours.

It had been two hours and her sister hadn't come yet. Suddenly, the door dashed open and thinking it was her sister, Camellia quickly turned around.

However to her surprise, it was her mother, 'Queen Suzy' and she came in with some other maids.

Thinking it was Sarah, the Queen walked towards the camellia with a smile plastered on her face.

She placed her hands on her shoulder and then said, "You look so beautiful Sarah….just like a Queen which you will be in a few hours' time."

However Camellia just kept quiet, just as she guessed Sarah would react if she was in her shoes.

Seeing her daughter's long face, Queen Suzy then said, "I know you would rather not get married to the monarch….but it's for your family and kingdom, you Just have to be his wife and nothing more….do you understand."

Hearing that, Camellia nodded and smiled a little. Seeing her daughter smile made the queen happy.

Queen Suzy, "Ok now… it's time to go downstairs, the marriage is about to begin."

Saying that, the queen instructed some maids on what to do, and they did it immediately.

She then turned to Camellia and said, "Now let's go."

Hearing that, Camellia's heart started to beat so fast. She wasn't Sarah, but no one knew that and if she carried on like this…she might end up marrying the monarch.

Praying for Sarah to come, Camellia was dragged by her mother, and before she knew it, she was out of Sarah's room and in the corridor.

She could see everyone's eyes on her as she walked the stairs with her mother to guide her.

This was the first time that she was getting so much attention from the nobility and royalty.

She looked around and spotted her father among the crowds chatting with some dukes and Kings.

And when she turned her head to the left, she could see him…The monarch and Sarah's future husband and should she say her future husband since she had just become her Sarah Melivonia.

Camellia, a breathtaking girl with an enchanting presence, gingerly descended the grand staircase with utmost poise. Her cascading locks of blonde hair emitted a radiant glow, like rays of sunshine on a summer's day. Her sparkling green eyes, displaying a touch of mischief, illuminated her delicate features.

Adorned in a historical white royal wedding gown, Camellia looked like a vision from a fairy tale. The intricately designed dress showcased delicate lace patterns and elaborate embroidery, reflecting the elegance of a bygone era. The flowing train billowed gracefully behind her with each step, exuding an air of regal sophistication.

Walking gracefully beside Camellia, her mother, Queen Suzy, epitomized grace and poise. Her majestic aura seemed to amplify Camellia's beauty, resulting in an ethereal mother-daughter duo. Accompanying them were a retinue of maids, donning matching elegant gowns, their presence emphasizing Camellia's importance on this momentous day.

As Camellia descended, all eyes in the grand hall were irresistibly drawn to her, captivated by her radiant charm and regal attire. A hushed silence enveloped.
