Lumma didn't understand why Adam explained that to her, and was very apprehensive, "Mr. Hills, you don't have to explain your personal business to me."

Adam didn't understand why he just explained to Lumma, but he didn't want her to get the wrong idea.

In order to ease the embarrassment between them, Lumma immediately shifted the topic to work, "Mr. Hills, the plan is settled, so I need to see the site."

Adam said, "I'll leave that to Leonard, and you, you're going somewhere with me later."

Lumma remembered that Adam had no work schedule today, and she didn't know where Adam was going, but she said yes.

They came to the garage, where at least a dozen top luxury cars were parked.

Adam didn't call for the driver at the moment, and Lumma's instinct was that Adam had asked her to be his driver, so she went straight to the Bentley he used to take.
