Chapter 41

It took Lumma a lot of effort to persuade Harry and Ruby to permit her to leave the hospital tonight. Now she just got in the car home.

Ruby was still nagging, "Silly girl. You didn't get any wounds, but what if you have other injuries? I've already brought some daily necessities to the ward, but you still refuse to stay there."

Lumma pinched Ruby's face and said, "Why should I stay in the hospital? I'm fine. The ward is not as comfortable as home. I have been out for a month and a half, and I couldn't sleep well every night. I miss my bed so much."

Harry held the steering wheel with both hands and said with lingering fear, "You were just lucky. It's too close. You almost died."

After dinner, Harry went to the parking lot, and Ruby went to the bathroom. When Lumma was waiting for them at the door of the restaurant, a car rushed toward her.
