Coralline's POV

She fired the gun. I pushed Damon out of the way, wrapped ny arms around my tummy protectively and closed my eyes, waiting for the pain to take effect but I didn't feel anything.

I slowly opened my eyes when I heard someone grunting in pain. I looked over to see John sprawled on the floor while spitting out blood, and the policemen were holding Vivian down.

I rushed over to him panicked. I placed my hand on the gunshot wound on his chest.

'Why did you do that? Why did you take the shot?' I asked worriedly.

'Well I had to pay for my sins somehow. I'm truly sorry for everything I've done Cora. Can you find a place in your heart to forgive me?' he asked

'Now's not the time for that, you need to get treated. Call an ambulance' I screamed.

Damon dailed their line and came over to were I was. I still held my position with my hand applying pressure on his chest to stop the excessive bleeding.
