"Wait, she said without looking directly at him and he placed his phone back on the table. "Closer, he said and she moved forward. 'Look at me , he said in a dominating voice without breaking eye contact with her. "Wanna say something, he asked in a calm voice and she nodded slightly while shivering. 'Um....I..um....., I tried to find the right words to use but I kept stammering. "Yes go on, I'm listening, he said. I finally gathered my courage and said at once. "Actually, I put three times the dose of sleeping pills in your drink, I said. 'Why ?, because you wanna avoid the wedding night, he said and licked his lips seductively. "Lemme see how you avoid it then", he said and suddenly stood up, pick up the glass of wine and gulped down the entire wine then he gripped Serena's hair and kissed her making her gulp down almost the entire wine in his mouth. Chapter Twenty-Three: I'm not sick,I don't want to go to the hospital.

At the Hospital

Serena wound got bandaged and her mom insisted that she gets admitted cause her wound was deep. 'Doctor hope she would be fine, Mrs Leo said looking worried.

'Yes she would be fine in few days time just ensure she eats very well and takes her medication on time and yes miss, please try not to think too much or stress yourself out, he said and she nodded with a smile.

Later on, a nurse came in and injected Serena after she finished having her lunch. She fell asleep shortly after the nurse left. Few hours later, a prominent figure stepped into Serena's private ward and sat close to her. He was wearing a black suit and had his hair all styled making him look dashing.

"Wifey, are you still asleep, he said but the girl seem to be in a deep sleep due to the effect of the injection and so she couldn't hear him.

"Pretty wifey, when are you gonna wake up. You know I've already started our marriage preparations and I planned on taking you out on a date before our wedding but it seems like that won't be possible anymore since our wedding is fast approaching and you're in bad condition.

Nevertheless we're still going to get married and nothing can stop it not even you, he said and stood up to leave.

Then Serena woke up to see the retreating figure and she rubbed her eyes because her vision was blurry and when she opened her eyes again she didn't see anybody. Few minutes later, her mom came in.

'Serena dear, you are awake, Mrs Leo said and went to sit beside her. Mom was anybody in my ward, I'm did you see anybody going out, she asked. 'Not at all dear but is there a problem, she asked.

'No mom I'm fine, she said with a reassuring smile and Mrs Leo smiled back in return.

"Somebody please help us, he's going to kill him. I don't want to die, she said and started attacking the workers who tried to calm her down.

'Sarah, Mr Leo who just came back from work was shocked to see the scene displayed in front of him. 'No don't come any close, I know you want to kill my baby. Don't you dare come any close, she said and suddenly picked up a knife from the fruit basket on the table.

Sarah my child, give the knife to Papa, he said trying to coax her and when he reached out for her, she slit his right arm.

"Enough!!!,Mrs Leo screamed. She looked sideways and said. 'Doctor hurry up and take her away. Immediately a doctor and some nurses rushed in and grabbed hold of Sarah and Mrs Leo rushed to her husband.

"Let go of me, mummy ,daddy please tell them to let go of me, I'm perfectly fine. I'm not sick, I don't want to go to the hospital.

'Sarah dear, these people will take good care of you and your unborn baby very well. I promise you that you're going to be fine, Mrs Leo said with a sad smile.

"No,no,no mummy, daddy please don't let them take me with,I'm okay. I don't want to go anywhere, I want to stay with you all. Serena!!! please help me, she screamed before they finally took her away.
