15 We Aren't Sharing A Bed

After they both had a peaceful and quiet dinner, King Vladimir showed Ariel around the castle. He showed her the garden and it was a beautiful sight to behold. The garden had well-trimmed grass. Nice strawberry plants and other types of fruits plant. It had trees that provided shade.

What attracted Ariel the most was the beautiful swing she laid her eyes on. The swing can be occupied by two people. It was under a giant mushroom. The mushroom shielded the swing as it protected it from the rays of the sun and rain. Especially during the winter season so Ariel found it her favorite spot in the garden.

King Vladimir didn't follow her outside the garden. He stayed away from the sun and let her explore the garden to her satisfaction. He avoided sunlight. Maybe that'll give a hint of what kind of personality he has but Ariel didn't mind and was carried away by her new favorite spot.

The strawberries were ready to harvest and luckily her maids followed her, at first she took permission from King Vladimir if she go pluck the strawberries and he agreed to it immediately. Nadia handed over a deep bowl to her and she plucked as many strawberries as she can. When she was done, she told them to take it away and preserve it for her consumption.

Ariel went on to meet King Vladimir, they continued their tour as he let Ariel explore anything that fascinated her. He avoided the sunlight throughout their tour. It was time to explore the inner part of the castle.

King Vladimir showed her the places inside the castle. He took her to see the library. The library was large, and the books there were well arranged. It had tall or long shelves that were reaching the ceiling. Ariel was amazed.

"How can someone get up there?" Ariel asked in amazement.

King Vladimir who didn't spare her a glance before, spared her one this time before answering her question. "There's a ladder. You can climb it to get up there." He said.

"Oh" That was all Ariel managed to say. This husband of hers was no fun to be with. He's such a boring man. Ariel thought.

Finally, they came to the end of the tour. The only place he didn't show her was his bedroom and study, if only he had one. Ariel was curious. Since they're both husband and wife why won't he show her his bedroom? They should be sharing the same room. Arielle was drowned in her world of thoughts.

King Vladimir of course knew what she was thinking about and gave out a small cough to gain an audience from her.

"I'll start with the rules and regulations. The rules will only be for both of us to abide in. In that case, we'll avoid getting on each other's bad side. First of all, you aren't allowed to be in the East Wing. You can't go there." He said with a serious tone.

"Why?" Ariel asked in confusion. What the hell is an East Wing?

"The East Wing is meant for me and just me alone. That's where my bedroom is located and my study is. You aren't allowed to go there. The place I first saw you is my substitute area, you can only go there if I permit you." He proclaimed.

Ariel was dumbfounded. "Aren't we supposed to be in the same bedroom?" She questioned him with all authority.

"Aren't you pleased with the bedroom I gave to you or do you want to be thrown out of the castle? We aren't couples. I'm doing your Kingdom a favor by agreeing on our marriage."

"What?!" Ariel couldn't believe her ears. This man was so mean.

"If you want us to be in the same room, we aren't sharing a bed. You'll be sleeping in the dog house. So if I were you I'll follow that simple instruction. Or else..."

"Or else what?" Ariel was fuming in anger, his previous statement was enough for her blood to boil in anger.

'I'm doing your Kingdom a favor by agreeing on her marriage.'

The words echoed in her ear. King Vladimir was shocked to hear her question his audacity. How dare she? He felt like strangling her to death.

"You want to know what I can do. Well, it's too early for you to know. Don't you dare piss me up?" He warned giving her a death glare.

To be honest, Ariel was scared but her anger lessened the fear. She wanted to tell him to continue with his stupid rules. King Vladimir noticed and continued with the rules.

"You aren't allowed to touch the King which is me. You aren't allowed to talk to me except if it's important. I'll do the same for you. Anything you want you can tell your maids and they'll provide it for you. You're also not allowed to go outside the castle, you can do that if only you're tired of living." He said firmly.

Ariel knew the reason why she was not allowed to come out of the castle. The River of Valox was a few meters away from the Kingdom of Vallat. The River had a strong aura and the weak can be easily affected by it, especially humans. This made her curious again, the people of Vallat sometimes wander outside the walls but they all came back unharmed. Why is that?

"The people of Vallat are stronger than you think. Don't underestimate them and don't get on their bad side. Go get some rest. We have a meeting to attend tomorrow as you'll be meeting with the Lords." He said and walked away from her presence.

The more Ariel heard his voice the more hatred and anger build up in her. His voice was indeed charming and he had a hypnotic voice. King Vladimir's handsome and masculine features can make any woman go crazy but he had dirty behavior. His behavior toward Ariel was unacceptable. He was mean, selfish, and cold.

"Umph! I hate you, the devil." Ariel angrily left the library and headed to her room. She banged the door behind her making a loud thud. Her maids were curious to know what made their mistress mad but the more they said the more the latter anger increased so they had no choice but to let her be.
